It's awesome to have real-time access to and analysis of respondents' responses when gathering data.

Reviewed 9 months ago

It has an affordable price compared to the benefits to the organization.

Pros

It is an excellent tool for data collections. It is quite simple to design a form for our unique objective and launch it as well, thanks to the forms' simple interaction with our Google accounts. I used it for data collection for our research project. Possibility of creating a list of inquiries and anticipating a massive amount of organized, real-time responses.

Cons

It doesn't offer as many customization choices as other form firms do to make your forms look distinctive. It can be challenging for some sorts of research since users are restricted in the question and answer formats that are permitted.

Data Collection Is Now Easier Than Ever With Google Forms!

Reviewed 3 years ago

For my digital marketing agency, I have to collect data from the audiences. So, I was looking for a solution that will let me do that without going through a steep learning curve. Then I found Google Forms which is completely free. But that doesn't make it inferior to other form builders. It is quite capable with all the necessary features. Besides, the forms are responsive and it loads fast on any kind of network connection. I am quite impressed with the overall experience.

Pros

The user-friendly interface is the key feature of Google Forms. No matter what your background is, you can create beautiful forms with this tool. You can master this tool within a couple of hours. Also, it offers a bunch of features completely free of cost. I know that there are some other tools that offer more flexibility in terms of layout and design. But those are too costly and Google Forms is enough for most users out there. Also, it integrates nicely with other Google services such as Drive, Sheets, etc so that you can keep all your collected data organized.

Cons

Nothing is perfect in this world. But I must say that Google Forms is nearly perfect with all the necessary features. If this tool had the feature of updating records that would be great. Also, I don't really like the plain design of the forms.

Google Forms - A Great way to test

Reviewed 4 years ago

If tests have to be done online - not the best situation - then ordinary multiple choice is woefully inadequate. We already know students are sharing tests and information. By using short-answer, long answer, radio boxes, and "check all that apply" it is much harder to cheat. The test is more accurately reflecting what the students knows, instead of what he/she has memorized. The answers are sorted...

Pros

Google forms has saved my LIFE this Covid season! I can do free-response and short answer - no credit for Wikipedia! I can use check boxes, radio boxes, a radio-button grid (for ranking). Not limited to 4 or even five answer choices- It seems to be unlimited answer choices. I can use sections - for example, an extra Remediate section if they get the question wrong, that is skipped if they get the question...

Cons

Caveats are: You cannot format the question, it will be all smooshed up in a paragraph. It is easy to workaround, though. Just take a Snip of the formatted questions [for example color for emphasis, or paragraphs, or bold or italics] and then click the Media button, Upload, Browse, click on the snip. Now the question is formatted. Matching is totally missing, I wish we had that option. It is VERY...

Google Forms-Basic & Needs to be Better

Reviewed 3 months ago

For me, Google Forms seems to be a tool that was put together for basic usage and left alone. Other forms that you have to pay for have an easier interface and allows for more integration with other tools.

Pros

Google forms is great for a burgeoning business or for someone without much knowledge of basic design. You can use it quickly and without any additional cost. It is seamless with other Google Workplace tools.

Cons

Google Forms are much too basic for businesses that require software integration. To actually use for specific use cases can prove difficult or impossible. Also, there are no visual aides that I could find they offer. It is more difficult to share than it needs to be, too.

Google Forms - A Simple and Smart Data Collection Tool

Reviewed 3 years ago

Our team uses Google Forms to create various types of data entry forms, quizzes, and surveys for our clients, who mainly look for a simple and less expensive solution for data collection.

Pros

- Google Forms has a comprehensive interface to create any sort of form within a very short time. - It comes with enhanced security and additional features when signed up with Google Workspace. - It is quite convenient to review real-time responses and information once the form is delivered to desired recipients. - There is a 'Preview' option to generate a preview and check the functionality of the data fields before further distribution to recipients. - The data collected through forms can easily be exported into a spreadsheet format and shared across the organization smoothly.

Cons

- The look and feel of the embedded forms in a website seem so generic, anyone can recognize that the forms are created with Google Forms. - There are very few or limited options to customize the forms in order to enhance the form design. - There are only four font styles, and no option to resize the fonts.

Designing simplistic forms for different systems.

Reviewed 4 years ago

I utilize forms on a daily basis. We utilize the program for collecting data, documenting notes and reporting information, and also data collection that is easily trackable through Google Sheets. Forms provides the elegance and simplicity of the data collection while inputting the information into spreadsheets on the back end.

Pros

I love that Google Forms makes it easy to develop database information for almost anything that someone needs. We utilize Google forms to capture outcomes and to provide surveys for our users. It also allows us to develop data collection for outcomes that we need to obtain for grant writing purposes. Designing the forms are easy, intuitive, and takes no prior knowledge. The forms also provide tie ins with other Google programs such as Google Sheets.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike about the product. The simplistic and easy design does lack features that fall into more expensive programs; however, this is what allows the forms to be easily designed by anyone.

Managing Customer Happiness with Google Forms

Reviewed 4 years ago

Using Google Forms is quick and easy. It's also free, so for companies on a budget you can build fantastic survey forms without having to pay for expensive systems. It's really easy to set up and really quick to deploy. I highly recommend this service o all my other clients.

Pros

Google Forms makes creating online forms a breeze. We use the forms for multiple purposes, but our main purpose is to collect and collate Customer Happiness Indices. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up a form and we tag it in the signature file of our customer support emails. What makes it really great is that I can see the individual entries, but I can also get a graphical representation of responses. This allows me to quickly glance over the results if I want a quick synopsis of how my team is doing, or I can do a deep-dive and see what's really going on inside.

Cons

One of the limitations on Google Forms is the lack of templates. This means that your forms can border on the boring. It would be really great if Google would provide more templates, or allow users to build and upload their own CSS templates (a bit advanced, I know), so that the forms fit in better with our corporate customer image.

Google Forms - Easy way to collect data

Reviewed 5 years ago

Google forms is an online surveying platform that use to collect data and analyze them. Because of its features, we can create advance questionnaires very simply and quickly. Results collected from the questionnaire can be analyzed very quickly looking at the charts generated automatically by the platform. Almost every person in the world has their own smartphone now. Therefore we can easily collect information from the people. I think Google forms is the best way to collect data analyze them.

Pros

Google forms is very simple to use, for both parties who make the questionnaire and who answer the questionnaire. Many types of question formats are available in Google forms and we can use them as our need. Radio buttons are available to select one choice from the given answer list, check boxes to select one or more choices and we can include text box to type the answer. This is a great feature of...

Cons

I don’t have any bad feeling about Google forms. But I faced some problems in some instances when using this. This requires internet connection to fill the form and analyze results. Therefore without internet we cannot use this. Another problem I faced that some people don’t know how to use this. Still there are some rural areas where smartphones are not in use. If we want to do a survey with them, we cannot use Google forms. No any considerable issue on using Google forms to collect data other than those mentioned above.

Use Google Forms to Survey your Staff

Reviewed 4 years ago

With Google forms I am in the know about what my employees are thinking while working from home. Prior to this I used google forms to plan our events, find out food preferences, family members attending etc. It was invaluable to meeting our business needs with ease

Pros

This software is SIMPLE to use, it's FREE and best of all - you can export the response data to a spreadsheet. I tried other survey software and ran into several difficulties - if I added to many people to the survey it was a bump up in price, same if I asked over 5 questions, or it had to be anonymous - and sometimes I needed to know who was responding. It's also fun - the templates and ability to customize make this spark joy. You can upload your own photos and customization with color and images is easy to use. I am a big fan.

Cons

I cannot think of any feature that is difficult to use. I also cannot think of any necessary improvements because Google Forms has met my needs.

Google form is a Free and Affordable Form Builder

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have had a great experience using google form except for the disclaimer they put under their forms.

Pros

1. I personally think google form is amazing especially because it has a free version that everyone can you. 2. Finding my way around google form the first time I used it was quite easy. It is newbie friendly 3. Google made the form builder flexible enough that you easy drag forms to re-order it.

Cons

1. I hate the disclaimer at the bottom of the free google form that says "this content is neither created nor endorsed by Google". It may have a wrong impression on the users of the form. Take for instance, using google form to create and order form and a customer reads such disclaimer. It may scare customers away from ordering.

Best Forms app in the market

Reviewed 4 years ago

It has been great. I’ve embedded google forms on almost any website or email campaigns that i have worked on. They have delivered excepcional results and worked just great

Pros

What I like the most is the quality- price ration. It is free or very inexpensive while giving you many features like inserting forms on your website, sending them through email campaigns or just giving you the link for you to share wherever you want.

Cons

Sometimes I don’t like that it does not have many options to personalize your forms. Many working features but not so many customization options

Google Forms Review

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, Google forms remains superior to other software's by a significant margin when it comes to forms. I believe the ease of use along with the price and functionality of google forms is fit to help the average user, and allow them a quick and very successful time using the software.

Pros

Google forms is my pick for the best and easiest form software around. I think the main reason I love this software so much is just because of the ease of use. It is so easy to create forms, and it is so easy to fill them out as the user. There is no difficulty understanding how to create the content, and on the user side it is so easy to understand and fill out the forms fast and efficiently. Not only is ease of use great, but the visual appeal of the forms is a big plus in my eyes. The forms all look very uniform, and very appealing to anyone filling them out. For first time users looking to create a form there is no better software to use, just because of how easy it is to use and set up the form.

Cons

There is really nothing to not like about google forms, it is by far the most easy, inexpensive, and efficient form software around. The only thing I could poke a whole in would be the features. Compared to some other form software's google does not have some customized features that some other software's would have, however that would not be practical for the average user.

One of the best kept secrets of Google's platform

Reviewed 5 years ago

As mentioned above, I have witnessed many organizations use Google Forms for various reasons. Examples of this include: - Small non-profit used Google Forms to take and track food orders for a BBQ fundraiser event - College researchers used Google Forms to survey participants in a research study - Large non-profit used Google Forms to track convening attendees - Small non-profit used Google Forms to track volunteer sign-up, interests and availability - Small grantmaker used Google Forms to create grant application for prospective grantees Overall, all of the above were happy with their decision to use Google Forms.

Pros

One of Google Forms biggest advantages is how easy it is to set up. Any Google user is literally only a few click away from setting up and sending forms that gather contact information, RSVPs, event registrations and more. Forms can be customized and expanded to take on a variety of functions. A few examples I've witnessed include small businesses setting up order forms, small grantmakers creating grants application systems, volunteer organizations using Forms to better track volunteer interests/availability/etc. and researchers using Forms to gather information. Because it is part of Google, there is no need for additional sign up/set up, like with Survey Monkey. And, best of all, it's free to everyone!

Cons

If you're gathering a lot of information, the form can begin to get a bit cumbersome. To combat this, you have the option to create different sections or pages so it doesn't appear as one incredibly long form. In my opinion, it is also not as visually appealing as other survey and forms programs. You do have options, however, to change the color of the form, add graphics, etc. These minor critiques aside, there are not many cons about the program. Overall, it is functional, flexible, and no cost.

Review of Google Forms

Reviewed 4 years ago

I like Google forms very much, It is very simple to use and its WYSIWYG editor allows user to create the forms faster just by drag n drop options and provides fairly good features and Themes to create the forms.

Pros

Google Forms is a very nice and useful application. Google forms is a very simple to use and one can start using and creating forms with very short learning curves. Google forms application provides a very easy to use Authoring environment so that users can quickly design the forms. The forms can be designed to created multiple features like Header logo or banner, Free text boxes, Radio buttons, dropdowns,...

Cons

Google forms has lot of advantages and very less disadvantages. Google forms also has some demerits like Security, Google forms is always termed to be less secure as it is managed by Google and users does not have much control compared to coding and developing own forms. Google forms still lacks certain features compared to coding and developing our own form. Google forms are not preferred by larger organizations as it does not give full control to user and capture the data in a different database. The Google forms are not used to created complex forms will many features. Google forms is also not a preferred way of capturing and storing secure information and handling them.

I recommend this all the time

Reviewed 4 years ago

Because it's so streamlined, I'm able to whip out a survey or questionnaire in no time and know it's going to function well. It's intuitive question builder works well to predict what sort of answer response-structures I'm looking for. It's easy to export the results to Excel, where I can generate all the reports I need myself. (If you want a survey product that will automatically generate those pretty pie graphs for you, this isn't it.) I use this for streamlining my discovery calls with clients, creating internal forms within my clients' companies to streamline their project management, and creating surveys for my clients to use with their customers.

Pros

This is the easiest plug-and-play survey/questionnaire tool out there. Like most Google products, it's clean and simple with a minimum of bells and whistles (and free!) For basic information gathering -- such as a client intake form -- it's easy to set up, and easy for the client to use.

Cons

I wish it had a little more customizability for branding purposes, but it's hard to argue with the price point!

Capterra Review on Google Forms

Reviewed a year ago

Google Forms has helped me solve problems related to; Customer feedback, product research, employee surveys and marketing campaigns.Apart from being cost-effective and easy to use, it is also versatile. Google Forms can be used for a variety of purposes, such as collecting customer feedback, conducting product research, and creating marketing campaigns. This helps the business to solve a variety of problems.Regardless of what company you work for, I encourage you to explore how Google Forms can help you solve your business problems. Google Forms is a powerful tool that can help you collect information, gather feedback, and track progress.

Pros

I like a lot of things about Google Forms, the first of which is that it is free. This makes it a great option for businesses and individuals on a budget. The most impactful feature for me, is the "Customizable fields": This feature enables me to tailor my forms to my specific needs by adding, removing, and editing fields. It's easy to use. Google Forms is very user-friendly, even for people who don't have a lot of experience with form builders. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the drag-and-drop functionality makes it easy to add and rearrange questions.Because of how easy it is to use, integrating it with my business processes was not difficult at all.

Cons

What I least like about Google forms is that there is no built-in payment integration. If I need to collect payments through my form, I will need to use a third-party app or service.

Cannot Live without it once you have it!

Reviewed 4 years ago

A great tool I find myself using more and more in new and innovative ways. If this tool disappeared, I would struggle without an identical replacement.

Pros

A brilliantly simple way of collecting information from a range of people from inside or outside of your Gsuite organisation. Whether its collecting student voice, running a survey for data collection, or creating a pop quiz, educators will find a million uses for this software. One of my favorite uses is as a self check tool for students to quiz themselves on their understanding of a piece of content before moving on to new learning. With a few clicks, I can set up questions with points values, correct and incorrect answers, hints, points values, and overall grades. If I just want to gather some student voice, this tool transforms into a great survey platform which is easy for people to access, and presents responses in both raw and processed formats.

Cons

There are some minor issues with the tables and graphs generated from multiple choice questions when there are lots of possible responses, the chart will be missing some of the labels which you need to mouse over to see. This wouldn't be such a big issue except that printing those graphs still has the labels hidden. Also, with the quiz function you will want to stick to multiple choice or closed questions as much as possible as the software does not recongise any variation of a correct answer e.g. capitalisations, order or terms etc. You can work around this somewhat by making the points value for open ended questions '0', but removes any automatic marking functionality for that question.

A simple but solid (and free) online form creation platform

Reviewed 3 years ago

For the most part, I have had a good experience with Google Forms

Pros

When it comes to Google Forms, I think that the first thing to point out is the fact that it is free. This means that you will never have to pay to use it, which is a good thing especially if you are on a budget. With Google Forms, you get a platform that lets you create different types of forms with a step-by-step, drag-and-drop approach. You can easily create form that feature different types of fields and this is something I like. Sometimes, you don't need "bells and whistles" but you need simplicity – and that is what Google Forms brings to the table. One big plus to remember is that while Google Forms may not have so many native integrations with other platforms like other form creators, it still lets you use it in combination with many of them thanks to Zapier.

Cons

There are big limitations in terms of how you can make your Google Forms forms look like and the different types of fields they can have. If you value design and you would like your forms to be as close to your brand as possible, this may be an issue worth taking notice of.

Google Forms: You Just Cannot Go Wrong

Reviewed a year ago

Easy to create forms on the fly.

Pros

Google forms have a lot of functionality for the great price of zero, that in itself is makes using it a no brainer. Forms are extremely easy to create, we are talking in a matter of minutes and all of the collected responses go straight to your Gmail account. Even the most computer challenged individual will be able to navigate google forms.

Cons

It would be nice to have the option of adding video clips directly on the form.

Perfect for Team Members who are scattered about

Reviewed 5 years ago

Using Google forms actually saved tons of time so that constant follow-ups with teams on the road did not have to be made. The forms made it enjoyable and easy for reluctant report-writers to submit much-needed data that was automatically accessed using a spreadsheet. Just easy and free.

Pros

Google Forms are available to anyone with a Gmail account and easily accessible. One great solution for gathering and tabulating data from a client's team members who were physically scattered about the country was getting them to use a form we set up in Google that made it very easy for the team to give us needed data on store visits, manager experiences, and so on. People on the road don't necessarily...

Cons

- Did not like how tough it was to tweak the styling of the forms. Very wooden feeling. There are many themes we could use and some customization allowed. So not a total loss.

Best Free Survery Tool Available Online

Reviewed 4 years ago

I have been using Google Forms regularly for 2+ year. I have been using it everywhere from university to business and I absolutely love it. Recently, our professors have started using Google Forms to conduct small self-assestment tests as part of virtual learning. We just need a Google Account to access it - which all of us already have(prolly).Uisng Google Forms, I can create forms easily. I can also use the basic data analytics to look at charts and get sense of the responses I am getting through Google Forms. Overall - I am pleased with Google Forms as I get all those useful features at no cost.

Pros

The thing that I like most about Google form is simplicity. Like all Google products, Google Forms is well designed and performs seamlessly. The User Interface is very intuitive and even someone who doesn't know anything about web forms can create Google Forms easily. Another thing that I like about Google Forms is its pricing. It's completely free! I can also trust Google with my data or my clients data as they have secure system than most of services available online. Another pros of Google Forms is that - it integrates well with the entire google system.

Cons

The question types that can be added are pretty basic in nature. We can add multiple choice questions, drop-down selections and short answer questions etc but there aren't way to add advanced things like payment options etc. While working with Google Forms, I sometimes feel it would be better if Google Forms provided a way to add advanced stuffs too. Another thing that I think Google Forms lack is flexibility in conditional logic. We can only apply conditional logic to MCQs and drop-down selections.
