Typically great customer service who: - Are fairly active on user forums and implement upvoted bugfixes/hotfixes/added functionality

- Intuitive interface, organize and deploy machines - Great granular control over access and user permissions - Customizable interface - Awesome remote session tools and functionality, e.g. ability to reduce viewing quality to enhance network performance, block host/guest input, **Share files through the remote session by drag and drop, etc.

Happy with it and because I didn't use any of the central reporting features, this was an easy switch.

Pros

The option to customize portal branding and desktop agent with your logo and domain is beneficial in establishing your image.

Cons

The product doesn't have the reporting and monitoring capabilities found in the "central" competitor. Management of the portal is not intuitive and requires plug ins with a little customizing of scripts to get them going.

Good product needs a little tweaking

Drag and drop file transfer is very helpful log in speed are fast auto reconnect saves time multiple screen support works very well remote printing is fast as well overall it's a solid product

Cons

Sub account management is a bit awkward as far as assigning employees access to ether only 1 PC in a group or assigning a tech access to everything accept a specific group.

Pros

Seems to work with every machine we've put it on so far. Performance is decent enough to accomplish most of what we need to do.

Cons

Cost to Value ratio (non-MSP) is questionable. Management UI has quirks for sorting endpoints into groups.

The functionality and control options are class leading - especially useful is the drag and drop file transfer.

Pros

It was easy to customise to my branding and simple to install.

Cons

Non computer literate customers sometimes struggle with the sign-on process (to join a session), that means I have to talk them through it. Perhaps this could be a little slicker.

The ultimate assistance tool

We have instant access to every supported remote machine, both internal and with customers, and it allows us to chat to a customer on the phone, then assist them seamlessly.

Pros

The huge amount of customisation is of great benefit as it allows us to brand the product to prevent customers feeling uncomfortable that it's a third-party product that may compromise their security.

Cons

A peer-peer option would be nice for performance to local machines, but that's a minor thing. The Android remote client can have issues synchronising the mouse pointer to the screen, but at least we can walk users through working on the device in real-time. Other than that we haven't experienced any issues or found anything that makes us consider any other option.

ConnectWise Control (previously ScreenConnect) fit the bill for us.

Pros

Lots of features for the price. Able to customize the service is also a big win for us. Ease of use for our end users is also a big plus for us.

Cons

Would love to see full integration of other products/services as one product (remote access, patch management, monitoring, etc) and a single pane of glass.

Awesome alternative to the massively overpriced Logmein Central

As much as I loved Logmein, now that I've been using ConnectWise Control for about a year, I wouldn't go back if Logmein offered to match the price.

Pros

Fast and efficient - seems to work better over slow connections than Logmein Easy for end users to connect via a simple code The extensions are very useful and easy to install Very customizable Toolbox feature is a real time saver

Cons

Less polish than Logmein Central on the tech side of things, especially with reporting Clears logs from the database every 30 days by default...can be changed, but caused a few headaches as I didn't realize this was happening at first Remote event logs/task manager/software management leaves something to be desired, not sure it they are worth the extra cost as they are

Comparing it with other product it's a great value against the price that pay with the maximum features available; if I am giving an option then it's highly likely that I will opt ConnectWise Control

Pros

- Easy to deploy and mange - Can customize it easily for various level of access - Best for Windows OS on other OS it performs not as good as on Windows - Great price value - Fair amount of third party plugin integration - Provides an effective command line control

Cons

- Some long-lasting issues on Linux (performance on OS Mac is better but not great) - Java causes some connection issues on Linux and Mac - Occasionally, support is bit slow on core issues
