What is Whimsical?

Whimsical is a collaboration suite designed to help businesses create documents, wireframes, flowcharts, sticky notes, mind maps, and more to improve ideation across the organization. It enables users to quickly design project plans by collaborating with teammates on a drag and drop interface or working solo in a focus mode using markdown shortcuts.

The wireframing module offers a library of customizable elements including checkboxes, inputs, buttons, and searchable icons, letting multiple stakeholders work on a single document at the same time. It provides resizable stacks, which allows administrators to sort and organize cards in groups, attach rich text, images, or comments, and track project progress on a Kanban board.

Editors can create new files or edit existing documents, share folders with viewers for feedback and provide edit or view access to guests across specific files. Other features are SAML SSO, GDPR and CCPA compliance, and team management.
