How we picked the 5 top rated products

We chose the high-performing solutions on this list based on verified user ratings on our site. Depending on available data, qualifying products either had to be among the most user-reviewed or the most searched-for products in the Remote Work software category. They also needed to have sufficient reviews about electronic signature, have a minimum user rating of 3 out of 5 for that feature, and show evidence of U.S. market presence. We then added a distinction for up to three products based on our proprietary ratings and reviews: Highest rated, Highly rated for electronic signature, and Highly rated for free version. Sponsorship or client status has no influence on the selection of these products, but it may impact the order in which products appear.

User insights about the electronic signature feature

Users find Box's electronic signature feature helpful for streamlining document workflows and reducing paper usage. They report that it is easy to use and integrates well with other Box functionalities. However, some reviewers mention that notifications and document updates could be improved for better user experience.

“I have to send several documents for each team member to add the signature. When signing a document, the interface is intuitive and offers brief tips in popup messages. You may drag an option for signature, seal, date, etc. However, it would be nice to have a signature option that implements signature, name, and seal at the same time. Also, my coworkers do not get notified in Box when they get a new signing request; but they have to check their emails (the notification will be in the "Promotions" box). Finally, when I am going to sign the document myself, it will create a new copy of the document, instead of just updating the current one. ”
