Pros

- Very modular - Super customizable - Excellent outlook integration - Searches make sorting the database quite easily

Cons

- Support team can be had to get ahold of - Certain functionalities are not available - Very difficult to get a contact back after deleting it

Robust, but lacking integration

It really is a solid CRM, and did well keeping the entire company apprised of the situation.

Pros

I also liked how every user defined value got it's own view in SQL, so it was very easy to extract data into other systems using the database. It's very familiar to office users, and performed really well, even with 90,000 contacts/companies in it.

Cons

Any advanced formatting, or click tracking common to things like MailChimp weren't available.

You can create whatever you want for fields(information) and there are many customized bars that you could easily get access to.

Great CRM & Easily Customized

Unfortunately we moved to a different system right when I had it customized to what I wanted so did not get to experience the full potential.

Pros

I worked with Maximizer for 6 months and found I was able to customize it to what I wanted fairly easily and the cost was on point.

Cons

We ended up moving to a different CRM due to lack of integration with other apps and a partnership with a company that used a different CRM.

But when my computer crashed in 2011 or so, even my PC expert was not able to re-integrate the data back into Max.

Pros

I love how I can view all of my companies or have them in separate categories/databases to look at them separately.

If you have the time - start your Maximizer from scratch. You will be able to build your Maximizer exactly how you want it without the hassle of deleting existing fields that you do not need. Other than that - color code!

The staff at Maximizer has been extremely proactive in getting us information, setting up a demo, and working with us to determine our small business needs for a CRM. They put forth additional time and effort prior to us signing up to detail the demo towards our specific business needs so that we were able to get the best idea of how the software would work for us.

no thought for small companies

You pay for a maintenance service in Australia and they don't bother to contact you back even after many phone calls, but if you ring head office in Canada, amazing they ring you within hours

Pros

Had program since 1994 original Tracker, has some good features

Cons

Product support non existence, no thought for small companies, too complicated for mobile use, offer add ons then you change one program and they drop it, use to connect to palm device real easy

I like the way I can view and sort my contacts and have several databases for various customer types.

Cons

I have the last disc version that I know of that is stored on my computer, the cloud version is far out of my price range.

Maximizer 12 Milks Your Cash Away

Don't buy Maximizer products unless you have an IT department internally that is at your beck and call. I am/was a 20 year user at multiple small companies only to be left paying fees every time a Windows operating system change or upgrade was made. Good from afar, but far from good! I will summarize my experience as a "Classic Bait & Switch" business model. Beware.

Pros

Good looking GUI, after you train yourself thoroughly it becomes a decent contact database, and they have a really convincing sales pitch.

Cons

After the sale, the glow fades quickly. Any support is costly in either your time, loss of functionality, or the fees and charges needed to solve issues. You need to expect to explain your issues repeatedly and pay out of pocket for any help. Software regularly has failures that cannot be corrected by the average user.
