For the price, this product has much to offer for a variety of areas of HR. The user interface is elegant and simple to use and understand. The customer support team is extremely responsive and supportive, even if the product can't do what I am asking.

Features, such as performance management, is overly simplified and could use a bit more to flesh it out a bit. The payroll system, which they acquired, isn't nearly as elegant, but is functional. The implementation process, while overall great, presented some challenges related to the first payroll run and the setup of benefits.

BambooHR is easy to use and provides a full-featured, tech savvy, platform, that our employees love. It's very cost-effective and they're adding new features to the cloud-based platform every month. Also, the mobile apps are very appreciated by our employees. They can record sick days, request vacation days, update their information, etc. from the convenience of their mobile device.

Previously the product support / help section was on ZenDesk platform. Signing on was a challenge and the Safari browser wasn't supported in a secure way thus requiring me to switch to a Chrome browser to access content and training. Thankfully, my negative is now a positive and they've upgraded to a new platform and added new interactive product training courses and tracks.

What I liked the most about this product is the end to end hr management/ops products and services that it provides. From time tracking, time off, on boarding, off boarding, employee payroll management, centralized employee database for storing all the details as well as the documents, etc.

One thing that I think is missing is the reporting feature of the products as compared to some of its other competitors. Its should provided some elaborate reporting with many metrics.

I can't even specifically mention features, it's almost everything that I like about BambooHR. It let's me sets goal, do performance management, recruitment, onboarding, leave management and administer benefits. I can also upload any document and assign signature for any registered employee. I find this very easy because I used to do this with pdf version which required back and forth. Now I can request a signature to any concerned parties. I also love how easy it is for recruitment, screening and setting status and communicating that status has never been easy. It also sends an automated email when performance time is due and I like it because I might be swapped and forget to fill in my performance review.

The app for the mobile can be improved. I have an admin access on Bamboo but I can't upload documents for signature request and also do the other things I can do on my laptop. It can also be better improved by integrating it with some apps like Slack.

I always felt that HR software was too much of an expense for a small company liek ours, however Bamboo HR is scalable so its as good for 5 staff as much as 500 staff. I've liked the way we started using the Time Off booking and tracking and we have added other options to the system as the year has gone on. We brought the add on for Performance Management and I can already see that this will revoltionise how we do our 1-1 conversations. I'm really pleased we purchased this system and would recommend it to others.

The system feels a bit 'American' - some of the Personal Info is geared to American staff which we don't need to use. If I have a support need I tend to fire off a ticket in the afternoon when I know I am likely to get a response. Sometimes a response comes in the evening or overnight and I Have lost the day waiting for a response, but its often not a problem.

This product is very easy to use and for the things that might be a little tricky, BambooHR has great Customer Service. As a cloud-based system, it's great to be able to access the data from anywhere. It's mobile-optimized which makes it easy to look up information when I'm away from the office. There are also quite a few features included in the base price compared to other products that are sold as individual modules that don't necessarily work together all that well and everything is included (except performance management which is the only add-on). BambooHR is also constantly updating and making changes suggested by their users to make the product even better. BambooHR is also a very elegant solution. If you can shop or bank online, you can use BambooHR.

The reporting function for Training is a bit cumbersome and could use some improvement. Also, any time you go in to select a field (whether creating a report or power editing), it's often difficult to see the entire item name which can make selecting the correct field a bit of a challenge at times. The other con that I hear from my co-workers is the limited functionality of the mobile app. Perhaps adding a link to the full site from the app (and logging you in at the same time) would be helpful.

The performance management tools are invaluable, Goals create focus for the team and the reviews bring these together for an efficient but valuable process The apps are simple to use, our employees use them all the time rather than employing administrators we can self-serve which offers better service for the employee, updating details or requesting leave when it is convenient for them

We don't use the benefit management much and haven't found this to be particularly useful Whilst the reporting is good, there could be some improvements to scheduling to allow relative dates e.g. last month, last

A huge issue for us was knowing when people were going to take leave and the national holidays that the company observed. We had our office manager keep all this information in an excel sheet and our employees would have to send an email to their manager to request vacation, then the manager would having to bring in our office manager and then it was put on the calendar... And then if there were changes it was always complicated. This has stream lined this for us and has saved us a lot of time and headaches. We also really like the performance management to be able to keep track of goals and employee growth from quarters to quarter.

There are a couple of things I wish was easier when using the platform. Under the hiring section we can't find a way to add new templates or adjust the ones they have. Also you can't give additional permissions to collaborators which makes it hard to ask for help if you have to manually had in profiles, only the organizer and hiring lead can do that. Those are two big issues that we have been having as we are using the platform more as we expand.

BambooHR is very user-friendly, which is really nice for a small company that doesn't have one person dedicated to just HR duties. Employees very rarely have issues using it, and it has so many features included in each package. Customer service usually responds very fast and wait times for phone calls are not typically too long.

Occasionally the app crashes. Also, it requires that you assign each employee to directly report to someone else, which doesn't always make sense in a company structured like ours.

The ease of job posting, applicant tracking, onboarding, offboarding, document creation/storage. I love the chat feature, questions get answered quickly. The customization that can be tailored to our company's specific needs is amazing. Their customer service is outstanding and our employees enjoy the light hearted fun feel to the application. I cannot say enough good things about BambooHR!

I would like to see employee shift scheduling added and a improved time tracking feature that alerts both employee and management if an employee misses their scheduled shift, misses a meal break or misses a time punch. Our company is in CA so time tracking that ensures we are in compliance with meal breaks and California regulations would be awesome.

The implementation of BambooHR is done very easily in a do-it-yourself mode, with the assistance of well-designed tutorials and the very responsive support team of BambooHR. It took 3 weeks, dedicating a few hours each week, to get BambooHR up and running for personnel administration and performance management. BambooHR takes care of several things including sending reminders for employee satisfaction surveys, peer feedback, or performance assessments. Working with BambooHR is easy, even for employees who use the system only occasionally.

BambooHR is a feature-rich, yet simple software that offers limited customization. If you have requirements that are not contemplated by BambooHR, you will struggle to find appropriate support from this software. However, for small-to-mid-size companies, you should perhaps think of whether your requirements do really add value to your company and must be implemented, or whether you could simply adapt your processes to what BambooHR offers as a standard solution.

In concept the software is good and user-friendly. It keeps a lot of information in one place, however does not synchronise with other softwares so there is a lot of duplication still if you want to keep info in BambooHR, and this has to be done manually.

There are a lot of limitations with the software. At time of selling they tell you that it is customisable, beware that afterwards there are a lot of limitations. There are also a lot of inbuilt workflows that are inflexible and not designed in a way that suits business practice. All the feature improvements that we have requested have never been actioned. BambooHR has a great user interface, robust integrations, a wonderfully designed time tracking tool, and their payroll is reliable and easy to work with!

I think BambooHR falls short with some of their HR compliance stuff, which has recently become more complex.

As a single-person HR office, manually tracking applicants, leave time and managing HR files was time-consuming. BambooHR is the solution that has taken our HR function to another level by automating the work that used to take me a week out of the month to do.

The performance management function needs to have the ability to save and print the file.

Excellent usability. All possibilities have been considered. If not, they will always welcome and put into practice any criticism or recommendations. It is simple to make and use individually tailored reports. Every person I've met or worked with has been really polite and pleasant. The staff at BambooHR treat clients well.

To make use of this function more frequently, I would want to see more filter options available when sending out announcements. As an illustration, there are instances when a message is best sent to a select set of our managers or attendees of a certain event. Though I had preferred it, we ended up utilizing both email and BambooHR to distribute all HR information. Another excellent improvement would be to make entering holidays simpler.

So easy to use, and easy to program from the back end. Has saved us so much time - where we used to spend days trying to gather data, and file hardcopies of documents - now we have everything readily available at the click of a switch.

We have so many divisions - filtering down to the one you want doesn't take long but I would have organised our divisions better during set up!

I love the ease of use and the esthetics of the program. So easy to navigate and my employees love it!

I love the ease of maintaining our employee benefits within BambooHR. They are able to see what benefits they have and what they and the company pay into them. Also the fact that they carryover to the payroll system (no more double keying things).

The least favorite thing I have about the system is the lack to personal some of the Performance Management items. We are very specialized in some things that we do, it doesn't work using BambooHR for it.

Having compared all the HRIS softwares on the market against Bamboo, their efficiency and features trump most of what we were looking for. The UX is awesome, has all the features, and they work, which isn't always a given! A HR reps dream!

Although the UX is great for what it is, it could be a bit prettier and easier to use - much like a lot of modern new apps!

BambooHr has taken the headache out of HR management. From hiring to time tracking to time off and managing HR documentation, Bamboo does it all, does it well and does it efficiently. Customer support has been OUTSTANDING whenever a problem has arisen or if we need to add something to customize the platform to our needs. The walk through tutorials are also incredibly helpful. The system is very user friendly for even the least tech-savvy user. Our practice uses the software most for hiring, time tracking and for all HR related documentation.

I don't think there isn't much that we do not love about BambooHR! Some additional things that could be helpful are having a way to download multiple signed documents for employees or being able to move signed documents easily between folders. When sorting through the signed document report, it would be great to return to search or the sorted list rather than starting over. These are relatively small adjustments that are fairly specific to our needs.

Time and attendance and the integration into payroll has been a dream. In addition the use of the mobile functions including timesheets, requests for time off, etc made the time in the pandemic in particular a much smoother experience for everyone.

I think the Benefits piece needs to be looked at again a little closer. But honestly the only part that gives me any trouble is the Remote Link piece in our Bamboo Payroll with Trax. It is confusing, clunky and not in harmony with the rest of your product line.

It's user friendly and has the ability to collect PII and e-signatures and automate processes has made onboarding and offboarding so much easier! Employee information is robust and I love that the historical data is easy to see.

Recent changes to the home page moved important info too far down on the page. Who was off and the upcoming celebrations used to be front and center. Now you have to scroll down to get to them and the links. That info is way more important than who is on my team. I know that. Also, because we are a government contractor we can't use the fully integrated time collection and payroll apps. We tried ones that are supposed to integrate, but had lots of problems.
