I used to create spreadsheets and manually enter my time in and out which was a very laborious and time-consuming procedure, not to mention the process of calculating total time spent on individual projects. Since being introduced to Toggl Track I have saved dozens of hours that I would have spent on unnecessary administrative tasks. This has freed me up to be more productive and more accurate and flexible during invoicing and creating estimates for new prospects as well as existing customers.
I can quickly create a project/job and clock in and out throughout the day. This helps me immensely when it comes time to invoice my clients and project how much time it will take to complete the next project/job.
It is little awkward determining the total time spent on individual types of work. It's easy enough to figure out how much total time I spent on a project, but in order to calculate a sub-set of time spent (say setting up a series of projects or uploading files or QC checking) requires a manual recalculation of time spent on each job over a period of time.

Toggl Track has been giving me a very accurate experience monitoring my time usage statistics and has allowed me to adopt healthy time usage behaviours which are allowing me to get all my work done within the right time. Toggl Track makes time tracking so easy and straightforward therefore helping not to spend much time tracking my time.
Toggl Track has a pro time reporting feature that gives very precise time usage statistics. It also provides automation workflows which makes it possible to track time automatically without affecting my performance. It provides real-time insights that makes it easy to evaluate time usage behaviours and help avoid time wastage.
Toggl Track work is perfect and I have not had any negative feedback about it.

My overall experience with Toggl Track has been really good. Its a great app to keep track of my time and projects I work on. Also, availability of desktop and mobile apps is really helpful and helps tracking time on the go. Addition of auto time tracking will make this a ten on ten product.
Toggl Track is a really easy to setup and easy to use time tracking tool. It supports cross platform synchronisation with intuitive apps on all major platforms. Also, project tracking is really easy with the option of tags and extensive reports.
The only thing I feel is lacking in Toggl Track is the option to auto track time. Also, the interface can be better.

It has helped us track times and calculate working hours accurately, and has become a reliable reference for billing those times, as it enables you through the records that have been preserved to support financial claims with high transparency.
Toggl Track's simplicity makes it a vital part of many businesses' daily workflows. It's easy to start and stop timers while allowing for comprehensive personalization and error correction. You may easily add new projects and clients, categorize various project categories and elements, adjust timings, and determine whether the recorded work is billable first. we can set up reminders to track specific actions, and if there is a period of inactivity, we will be asked to ignore it. As a result, you will be able to accurately prepare your financial claims using Toggl Track.
Due to the fact that it requires some training to use properly, it is difficult to locate any disadvantages.

It really helped me to see where I am spending my time and where I need to reorginze the tasks I do. It has also helped to justify why my department needed an assistant.
As a remote worker, it is very easy to work over my hours. Toggl keeps track of the time for me so I can see how much time has passed. It also allows you to track exactly what you are doing with your time and shows you a graph of hours spent on various projects. I love that it allows for editing in case you forget to turn the timer off. It's super easy to use and it helps us watch our return on investment! Plus you can set it up to use as what works best for your company.
The only thing we've had some trouble with is the icon for the projects, task etc. a folder and the tag option. Some members didn't understand why you would use both so we settled on just using one. Other than that it has been a plus all around.

Makes freelancing jobs or those jobs where you pay/get paid per hour so much easier to track
I don’t know what I did without Toggl’s time tracking. I run an agency and we work with several projects at the same time, getting paid hourly in most cases. Time tracking of me and my team is as easy as it gets with Toggl. You can use their platform or their extension. Makes you understand where you spend most time on. It also helps you stay focused on one task and you can download your reports to send to clients with one click.
Nothing! I absolutely love Toggl and working with it

Using Toggle helped me a lot to see where my time was going, not just with my work but also with other personal projects and helped me to make informed decisions on tasks I needed to delegate.
The mobile app was most important to me. I like the ease of use. I also appreciate the reminders to stop the clock or to turn on the clock when I'm working on my desktop. Oh, and it's free :) unless you want to upgrade.
There's not much I don't like. I do feel like the mobile app time entry could maybe be streamlined a little more.

I use it to keep track of time by certain clients. One client originally requested that I use it and since it was so easy to use, I started using it for other clients and projects.
What I like the most about this is that is it super easy to use! For straight forward time tracking, it works great. You can break down your time by clients, projects, etc.
There is not much to say that is negative. If you're looking for a straight forward time tracker to use for yourself or employees, this will work.

I came across Toggl when trying to find ways to easily invoice freelancing clients and then again when trying to accurately monitor labor expenses for complicated projects. It's hard to fully monitor profitability if you don't have an accurate picture of the labor on a project and Toggl makes this simple. The website is intuitive and moving between clients and projects is effortless.
Toggl is a breeze to use, which is critical when you are managing a number of projects and clients. There's an app, a Chrome extension, a Trello extension, and of course the main website. It can be hard to remember to track time when you are busy jumping between projects but Toggl makes it very easy. I love that you can start the timer very quickly and can always go back and add more notes if needed.
There really isn't anything I dislike about Toggl - it can be hard to get others on board with tracking their time on projects and I think Toggl has offered several solutions to help make this behavior change easier. The reporting is more robust with a paid subscription (especially helpful for multiple clients or when managing a team) but even the free version is excellent.

I use this tool for time tracking allowing me to see in a very visual way how I spend my time. It is such a nice tool for entreprenurs and working from home people.
I live that I can start tracking from just a few clicks, easy to use and colors help me see how I am spending my time. Also I like the graphics and reports which help me understand visualy my time and work.
I don't like that when I stop tracking a specific activity for a week then it does not appear in the dropdown of suggested activities to track. That makes me waste time going back to the week I worked on that and start tracking the same activity from there or create new name for same activities ending in error tracking.

Toggl has helped my team stay accountable and helped us to track our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly measurable to stay on track with our department goals!
I like how easy it is to add new projects, and adjust times afterwards to correct time tracking if a timer was left on. I also like that an email notification is sent if the timer has been left on overnight.
It was a little confusing figuring out how to integrate it as a plug in with other programs such as Asana.

Overall, Toggl has been great. When it switched to Toggl Track, it went downhill on design, but the functionality is still one of the best out there.
Really easy to track time in multiple places -- in the web app, mobile app, desktop app, and more! Chrome extension adds really useful tools for tracking time in things such as Trello and GitLab (and loads of other tools/sites). Makes tracking time really easy.
The newly changed color scheme. I can't stand to look at this anymore. It's why I have to rate it low on being able to recommend it to other people. While the features are still great, the professional and comfortable appearance is now gone for clashing pastel puke colors which make it seem less like a professional tool and hard to read information. Thankfully, I don't have to open the web app much anymore (since it's probably the worst-looking), but when I do, I get headaches -- literally.

The tool is easy to use, intuitive, and flexible! We've been using it for years and recommended it regularly.
The reporting and analytics features do not provide access to the underlying data to see where discrepancies across reports may be coming from. It is also surprising that we cannot create graphs or charts other than the auto pie chart on the report summary.

I've been using Toggl when doing freelance work and have loved it. You can use the desktop client or the web client - they sync in real time. Reports are awesome and my clients love them
It's very simple to use and provides several tiers to organize time into. The tool allows you to have workspaces and in each workspace you have further breakdowns: client -> project -> task. This allows for very good organization of your time spent and convenient reports, where you can segment time based on each of these criteria. It marks each task with a different highlight color making it easy to identify. When starting the timer you can either click start and then type your task or project to choose it from a drop down, or you simply scroll through the history of logged entries and just click on any to resume working on it.
The mobile version didn't have a lot of functionality until recently, but now that is improved.

A real life-saver! Helped me recover after a severe burnout, by gradually increasing the amount of focused time - I used Toggl to monitor this process. Currently, I still use it to determine my productivity and finetune my rates.
- Enough basic functionality in the free version - Intuitive design, informative reports - Beautiful to the eye!
- could use some multi-platform improvement (I stopped using the crashing android/desktop apps)

Love Toggl! I'm a very big fan overall. I started using it this summer more consistently, and I still need to do better about being consistent with it, but it makes time tracking for clients SO much easier in my opinion!
My favorite things are the interface, how easy it is to track your time, how it integrates with your calendar, and also the seamless and easy reporting and analytics features. I also LOVE that it has a good, useable mobile app that works! One of the most overrated features is that it'll let you know when you've left the clock running for too long! Hello ADHD!
The thing I like the least is that sometimes it's not clear what a premium feature is and what's in your payment tier. Like, changing billable rates is sometimes not in my tier, but sometimes it is? Also, I wish I could save client report settings so I could run them automatically every week or two. But I have to go through and reselect all the settings each time.

I track multiple contract jobs and employee jobs using Toggl. I also track my volunteer time. This allows me to invoice, report my time on grant-funded projects, and provide in-kind match for volunteer work.
Cloud-based makes it accessible on computer or phone, online and offline. I work where I often don't have internet service, so that is important. Ability to set multiple levels for tasks - clients, projects, tags Bulk editing Generous free version. I would probably leave for another free platform if I had to start paying for what is currently offered in the free version.
I use it solely. I originally heard about it in the context of someone who needed to track time that volunteers were putting into a grant project, but I haven't been in a position to push others to use it. I do suggest it often. Therefore, there are features I haven't used.

When I started using Toggl in 2018 it was mainly for tracking time spent on billable projects. As I developed the habit of tracking my time closely, it was natural to extend the tracking to non-billable projects as well. It has become a critical tool for helping us quote new contract manufacturing projects because we can go back to the time tracking data and more accurately estimate hours of effort that will need to be invested. The reporting features are great to be able to see an overview by client, project number, or task.
I love the desktop app, the interface is very easy to use. I also appreciate the reminders that pop up with inactivity notices - or if it notices computer activity without the timer running. In an age of so much digital information at our fingertips, it is nice to have the reminder to focus on the task at hand.
The toggl team continues to improve the website and the desktop app, I have no complaints. Thank you for all you do!

easy time tracking and I can easily export my timesheets and send to clients.
I like that it's free, and even though it is free, the features are functional and you get everything you need for a basic time tracker with reports that can be exported as a PDF or Excel file. I didn't need to purchase the upgrade because I'm a solo user and the features available for the free version are all I really need. I did have a project where I collaborate with a couple other people and again, even on the free version, I was able to use the workspace/team feature with no problems. It made tracking time within the team easy.
I don't have any issues with Toggl, and have used this for more than 5 years in my line of work and business. I would probably recommend a setting where you can't edit the entries for members of the team, or for non-owners so that the time tracker is accurate and not manipulated.

I've used Toggl for the past few years as a quick and inexpensive way to track my time between multiple projects and report the ratio of time spent between them. The software boasts plenty of features for the base/free version (which is the version I use) along with basic reporting. The design is attractive and minimal while the time-tracking pages are easy to use and view. I would recommend this product to others looking for a basic time tracking software.
I love the minimal, user-friendly design of this software. Daily time-tracking is easy to complete and view in list-view. I am currently using the free version and really appreciate the reporting tools they provide, even for base users.
There are a few bugs here and there with Toggl when switching between workspaces, but they haven't deterred me from using the product. When trying to view a report for a workspace it seems that you need to have it set as your primary workspace, there is no way to switch between different workspaces in the reporting tab.
