ICIMS has allowed us to address the separate needs of our Corporate hiring vs our Agent/Call-Center hiring through custom fields, custom reporting and custom dashboards. We have been able to integrate the various tools we need (Assessment, I9, Background check, etc) to reduce manual entry into diverse areas. When we do run into situations where we find a snag in the workflow, digging into it and talking it through, we have been able to find a solution within the platform either directly with a feature we missed (at implementation or a release since) or by adding customization to fields and workflow.
The software is highly customizable with the potential for a sizable (but ultimately limited) number of custom fields and even tabs for data above and beyond the core system. It has strong user group management for good control of access and even process, as dashboards/reporting is also tied per user group. Support is responsive with most of the support agents I've worked with knowing the answer or at least knowing enough to say 'I don't know, let me research and get back to you' and they have followed up without prompting. The reporting system is robust, if not intuitive to learn. Bi-directional email tracks back email conversations for audit trails. There is a strong user community fostered by ICIMS, including an Ideas forum where votes by the community on desired features can be tracked for potential implementation. Implementation of the recent and optional TextRecruit has added further ease of communicating with our candidates. New features are added regularly, though this takes some staying on top of to evaluate implementation and keep current.
Customized reporting is limited to full licenses, including something as simple as a date range change. They have some ability to make the dates relational to work around this (Today, yesterday, before today, this week, last week, this month, last month and so on), but it is imperfect. It would also be great to have added comparison reporting such as this year vs last year on a single dashboard graph. Reporting is complex to learn (but powerful once you get it). Bi-directional email coding can cause email from us to the candidate to be direct at their end to SPAM which delays potential candidate interviews and prompts follow up inquiries from candidates already emailed that they were not selected to move forward. The overwhelming flexibility means you need to both keep poking at pain points until you find the right solution for your organization and to stay on top of new release information to keep new features implemented where they make sense to your organization.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and for taking the time to post this review!

Icims has helped in streamlining the talent management process. It is easy to run reports on census data, OSHA and EEO reporting.
Easy to create job requisitions, post jobs on various job sites and manage candidates who apply. The application can also be customized to add to remove screening questions.
It is a good talent management software but does not have other HR modules. There has to be a feed with other systems. The transfer of information takes up to a day to be available and it is not immediate. Many HR systems manage end to end HR functions.

Great to get candidates organized and communicate with them through email. We ended up switching to an alternative after several years due to cost.
Ease of use and the dashboards were nice to keep track of applicants in our pipeline. Lots of functionality to support Defense and contracting companies.
Lots of features require additional spend. It is quite costly and not as affordable for small or medium sized companies.

There are a lot of ATS systems out there. Look for a good one that can grow with your company. ICIMS charges for everv new technology they put out there, social media, website upgrades. They bank on you being captive since it is difficult to migrate to a new system.
ICIMS is a very robust system and has alot of capabilities, add-ons and overall functionality. It is highly configurable and allows you to add custom fields. There is a reporting feature that allows you to select specific report data and save the report for future. Additionally, libraries will store your requisitions, and other position information for easy reference through foldering capabilities. Tracks email communication through your outlook system, to capture both sides of the email conversation. Additionally, they have a lot of pre-recorded training and webinars to get to learn the system.
They didn't have a direct feed through Indeed and our positions were picked up randomly and after several days. Additionally, requisitions are difficult to post, show up with multiple fonts (even after various attempts at editing, which is a poor representation of your company.) ICIMS is very difficult for EEO/AAP reporting. Our standard reports didn't work well for this at all. Customer service is very hit or miss, some are really great, and others don't know the system at all. Account representatives are the same way, we just left them, due to their lack of interest to help us update the system set up after 10 years of use. There are alot of custom programming required to implement changes, and they didn't implement updates with the new DOL requirements. We had to ask for the new EEO forms for VEVVRA and Disability reporting requirements.

We implemented iCims with a client who had a great experience with the ATS. The company was bought out and is now transitioning to a new system but mining data and migrating it over was easy with the support iCims offers.
iCims has all the bells and whistles of the best ATS on the market. It's also very easy to use and highly candidate-centric. The iCims staff is also flexible, very helpful and eager to make sure your experience with the product is a successful one.
iCims is pricey but you get what you pay for and iCims offers a lot. Other than this I can't really complain.

iCIMS is a feature-packed talent acquisition software that aims to simplify the way modern recruiters attract, screen, and onboard top talents in their fields. Equipped with a comprehensive tool suite to recruit, connect with, and transition applicants to new hires, iCIMS enables organizations to systematically track the talent acquisition lifecycle in a single system.
Designed with the recruiter’s unique needs in mind, iCIMS combines real-time requisition performance reporting with modern recruiting tools that include social job post distribution and job board postings, so recruitment is less time-consuming and more efficient. Some of the app’s core features include iCIMS Recruit, iCIMS Connect, iCIMS Onboard, and its attracting and screening tools.
As the war for top talent becomes increasingly intense, HR departments and recruiting professionals are moving towards a more streamlined recruiting process versus old methods where numerous documents, files, folders, and spreadsheets are needed to accurately pinpoint the best possible candidates for an open job position.
And then, there’s the similarly important new hire onboarding process that can potentially strengthen or cut short a new employee’s ties with the company, depending on how they’re treated on their first day on the job. It’s no surprise, therefore, that an all-in-one applicant tracking system like iCIMS is growing in popularity.
iCIMS’ numerous tools reside in one centralized hub, so information access and review is faster and easier, allowing recruiters to engage the right candidates and ultimately hire the right people for the right jobs.
iCIMS Recruit is a configurable and easy-to-use solution that allows recruiting professionals to optimize their hiring processes and choose the most fitting candidates from a pool of qualified applicants. iCIMS Recruit carries a dashboard that consolidates everything – calendars, tasks, appointments, applicant files, reports, communications, and more – in a single screen.
Other features that make iCIMS Recruit a vital component of the hiring process are key metrics, candidate management, searches, role-based user assignments, job management, career portal, and reporting.
There are two types of job hunters - those that are proactively looking for a new career opportunity and those that are looking around but aren’t yet ready to take the plunge, also called passive candidates. Passive candidates may not be your target group for currently open positions, but nurturing relationships with them can reap dividends for your company in the long run.
This is where iCIMS Connect steps in. iCIMS Connect is a recruitment marketing automation system that aims to engage passive candidates who are open to exploring career opportunities with your company in the future. It communicates job opportunities and career paths with them, among other things, to keep them interested in a position with your organization when the time is right.
This all begins with the candidate clicking on a “Not ready to apply?” option where they’re taken to a branded and mobile-friendly portal that connects them with your company through a traditional resume or social media account. A login is created for them so they can go back to the portal at any time.
You don’t want to give your new hires the wrong impression about the company on their first day on the job, especially since it’s only natural for them to expect the same level of attention they received during the recruitment phase.
Coupled with iCIMS Recruit, iCIMS Onboard makes it easy for the hiring department to transition recruits from applicants to new hires. Administrative functions are facilitated through auto-populated employee fields and task suggestions. New hires are then invited to log in to an onboarding portal where they can update their profile information, complete forms, familiarize themselves with company policies, and so on.
The iCIMS Onboard reporting functionality generates high-level reports on the new hires’ task completion statuses. Where tasks aren’t yet completed, the system automatically sends out reminders.
To hire the best people in your field, you have to attract the best possible candidates. To reach out to the best, you have to be where they are. iCIMS is equipped with various business tools to help you do just that. The iCIMS Social Distribution tool allows organizations to instantaneously connect to scores of potential candidates by allowing their employees to automatically post and share new job openings with their social networks.
iCIMS also has a pre-built integration with JobTarget’s OneClick Job Distribution tool, which saves companies tons of time through automated job postings to over 14,000 online job boards. The iCIMS Career Site SEO tool enhances your career sites’ search visibility so you get the attention of candidates looking for jobs via the search engines.
To further simplify the screening process, the iCIMS Video Screening tool enables candidates to upload a short personal video using the webcam on their computer or mobile device, explaining why they’re the best fit for a job position. Recruiters and hiring managers review the uploaded videos to help them decide who advances to the next phase of the hiring process.
Also, the iCIMS I9 and E-Verify tools ensure hiring professionals don’t unnecessarily expend time and energy screening and interviewing applicants who may ultimately be unable to render service to their company because of employment eligibility issues (e.g., foreigners without the required work permits), among others.
Aside from a REST API that developers can use to make information flow between iCIMS and their current business systems more seamless, iCIMS integrates with 125+ apps like SAP, ADP, Kronos, Ceridian, Paychex, Oracle, Orange Tree, PeopleAnswers, PeopleSoft, Kenexa, Workday, and EmployeeScreenIQ.
The iCIMS pricing model is subscription-based and the dollar value depends on the final product that’s customized according to your company’s unique applicant tracking needs.
