What is Tanda?

Tanda is a cloud-based workforce management and time & attendance solution which offers electronic clock in, payroll integration, employee scheduling, time off/overtime management, wage automation, real-time reporting, SMS notifications, and more. Native time clock apps are available for iOS and Android tablets, allowing employees to clock in and out from an unlimited number of locations. Tanda is designed across a range of industries with hourly employees, including retail, franchise, hospitality, accommodation, manufacturing, medical, and more.

Key benefits of using Tanda

  • Employee PIN codes and clock in selfies are designed to reduce time theft by preventing employees clocking in for each other.

  • Staff clock in data is automatically compared with weekly rosters, and managers are alerted to any changes that occurred that week.

  • Budgets can be set for individual teams and overall rosters, and costed rosters allow managers to see how much their roster will cost as they build it, allowing changes to be made to stay within budget.

  • Staff can be notified of upcoming shifts or any changes via SMS, and shift details can be communicated to staff through time clock shift cards, such as cleaning or closing duties.

    Pros
    TANDA has tons of great features and support is fantastic. Several of the features I'd requested were implemented quickly which shows the effort going into continual improvement.
    The improvements in staff timekeeping, reduction in wage costs and the improved accuracy of our payroll and HR records have been superb.
    Love the support the Tanda Team provide. So far the system is proving to be a great asset to our businesses.
    Cons
    The reports are one dimensional rather than being multi-dimensional. This is not to say that these reports are terrible or don't provide insights.
    This makes it very inconvenient especially when I need to have a quick review of the roster for the month.
    I wsa led to believe by their sales guys that the intergatons would be No integration with my pos so couldnt view live labour cost percentages by location. The mobile app had very limited use also.

    How TANDA works for us

    Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently by support staff. You are asked for any ideas that may help you within your business. The ideas are integrated into the system if the demand is there this makes me feel that TANDA listen to their clients are are constantly looking at ways to improve and develop their system.

    Pros

    The software is easy for both employees and administrators to use

    Cons

    There is nothing I don't like about this software but it would be useful for the administrators to see when there are updates on their screen so they can update the tablet rather than the update just showing on the tablet as this can sometimes effect the data they are seeing.

    Overall Experience excellent with very good Award Interpretation assisting with automating Hospitality Award compliance and payroll.

    Pros

    Intuitive Setup... took a little time but easy to follow. Worked immediately and easy transition for staff from old system. Staff like TANDA. Good Award interpretation and integration with payroll. Good telephone support on the few occasions we needed assistance while setting up.

    Cons

    nothing to dislike....

    All good at the start but as time goes on who do you contact....

    It has made life at work simpler but when there is a headache or a bump in the road there is a real bump in the road. Not what I expected and not overall very happy with this software at all. Communication needs to improve especially with a system that affects payroll. You should be able to get answers sported out in minutes not hrs on these matters.

    Pros

    Scheduling rosters, employees can create their own leave, qualifications

    Cons

    When issues with payroll it takes at least 5 hrs for them to get back to you mostly. Can only communicate through chat or email. The only phone number is... you guessed it for sales and someone is always on the phone happy to take a call. another sale another $

    Tanda provides a level of assurance

    Tanda provides a great platform to be able to streamline rostering, payroll and employee onboarding. This ensures we minimise payroll errors, it provides visibility for employees and ensures we are compliant with employment laws around Award Interpretation.

    Pros

    Tanda provides peace of mind that employees are being paid correctly through Award Interpretation. The new on-boarding functionality streamlines the paperwork around employee new staff saving valuable time.

    Cons

    There is room for improvement in the area of different levels of access to line managers to not be able to see rates above them and only below.

    Easy, quick

    Pros

    When using the software, it is handy because it all links up with the other departments and I am able to easily access all information that I need.

    Cons

    I am unable to 'black' out certain time periods for staff so they can't add unavailability (I saw that it was on its way though), also when the roster has been published the staff are still able to change their unavailability.
