My company used different timesheet tracking tools in the past, but the one I liked the most and that my company used in the end was BeeBole. The user interface is simple and easy to fill out. Depending on how it is set up for you, you may have the ability to modify hours logged on previous days, which other timesheet tools often may not allow you. The ability to show and hide rows is also neat as you don't lose the data when you remove a row, just the visibility is removed. I like the row colors too.
This isn't a problem with the tool but rather with how the company configured it for its users. But whenever I need to charge hours towards a charge code that isn't in my available codes, I have to reach to our HR to request the code be added to my list. I wish we had the ability to add our own charge codes, and then HR can later validate it - to me that would make it more flexible.

I have worked with Beebole as an admin for 2 years, as well as tracking my own time. Initially I used customer support for questions. The response time and thoroughness was wonderful! It gave me context for the design and access to tools that are now second nature. Now, I keep finding more ways to obtain timesheet data quickly for specific questions that come up. I often export data to Excel which...
At one point I could have answered this more clearly. Now, we have our processes nailed so that "liking least" doesn't come up. For our needs, Beebole isn't set up well for us to use the budget tracking capability. When I began using it a couple years ago, I spent some time attempting to make it work. Then I let it go, except for a couple projects. While I may have figured out how to make it work, we already had another way, and I have fine-tuned our processes.

The simplicity and accuracy. Beebole is easy to use administratively and also easy to train our staff to use. We are able to keep track of time worked and also PTO very effectively.
Not being able to customize user permissions outside of what is built into the system.

We still use a lot of other time tracking solutions depending on client requirements. And so far, we haven't seen better suited solution for our needs.
It's very flexible and customizable. You can set up and structure time tracking to suit various scenarios. As a small and agile organization, we were often in situations where we had to adapt our time tracking needs for our clients. Beebole helped us to meet those requirements and avoid having several solutions.
With great flexibility comes a little steeper learning curve. It takes some time to understand all features and the best way to achieve your needs. It is still very simple for most of the end-users, quick and intuitive (which is 95% of all users). But power users (finance & managers) are struggling a bit and need a bit more help and supervision around some common misconceptions and misunderstandings.

I had experience with project management software coming into my role at a non-profit, and was looking for a way to track time spent on different tasks and multiple programs. By setting each program up as a project, this tool has worked great for us for over 5 years.
It was easy to make it too complex at first, because there were options for subtasks and for billing and expenses that we didn't actually need as they are taken care of in other platforms. After year 2 we were able to streamline it down into just the elements we needed, though. Some of the navigation between users and admin settings are a little confusing, there could be more contrast visually between when you're doing your own timesheet and when you are approving or making global changes.
