Good Email Platform

Reviewed 9 months ago

Overall, I like Constant Contact. It is a very easy platform and customer service is available and knowledgeable.

Pros

I liked the simplicity of using Constant Contact. Making the content of each outgoing email is very simple. Adding and subtracting email addresses and connections is very easy to do.

Cons

I believe a lot of emails go to customer/client spam folders. They are sent in bulk from Constant Contact in a way that they are blind copied.

Getting better and better

Reviewed 5 years ago

Overall we are pleased with Constant Contact in their integration with other systems. The customer support is very good.

Pros

I like the ease-of-use and that they have made upgrades over the years to the system to make it better and more intuitive.

Cons

The events management system has not received an upgrade in quite a while and it is starting to lag behind other systems.

CRM For The Small Business Owner

Reviewed 5 years ago

I am very satisfied with Constant Contact. I have found their customer support to be top notch whenever I need help. You can just call them up on the phone and they'll spend as long as you need to get your problem solved.

Pros

Constant Contact is a very user friendly platform. From the very beginning I found it very easy to integrate my incoming customer database with their email marketing tools. The software is always being updated and improved so that it is competitive with the latest CRM technology.

Cons

Sometimes there is a big learning curve with the new improvements, especially in the editor. For instance, I find that with the new editor for emails you have to get used to putting photos in separate "blocks" otherwise they automatically go up to the top of your email. It's not a big deal, you just have to get used to taking the extra steps necessary to get your photo in the proper place.

Constant Contact is a Great Product for Digital Marketing, especially for a Novice!

Reviewed 2 years ago

We highly recommend Constant Contact for any small to medium business or for anybody who is just starting out with digital marketing. It can seem overwhelming, but Constant Contact makes it simple to get out of the gate fast and with ease. You'll see the results.

Pros

Constant Contact is very easy to use and integrates with so many tools you are already using. Deployment and training are simple. There are lots of features and tools to measure the effectiveness of your digital campaign. It's the best starter software out there.

Cons

There aren't really any features we don't like with Constant Contact. They seem to evolve with the market and that is a plus.

Bulky, Cumbersome To Learn More Than Proficiently, Ok Once You've Used For Awhile Though

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have both learned how to use from the ground up as well as taught a team how to use CC. Once I learned my way about it it was okay and yes, I could then teach others how to use, but it's nothing to write home about to be honest.

Pros

In comparison to some of the industry's newer & more appealing dashboard-derived options, Constant Contact just can't keep up. It's a mainstay in marketing and social media sectors but I am not totally sure why other than companies whose marketing departments are grandfathered in to using it. There are better options out there.

Cons

It needs more in terms of ease of use, aesthetics both front-facing and for internal use, and features that are appealing to modern marketers/strategists.

I have managed the Constant Contact email/events account for a small not-for-profit in DC for years.

Reviewed 7 years ago

Constant Contact allows us to easily manage our email contacts and lists. It has saved us time by providing email templates that we can customize to our brand. The reporting the tool provides also gives us the intelligence we need to see if our list is growing or shrinking.

Pros

Great tool for a small business or organization to communicate with supporters and customers. Very easy to manage contacts and lists. Countless email templates provided, plus it is easy to create your own templates. Out of the box reporting on opens, click-thrus, opt-outs, and more are highly intuitive.

Cons

Tool does not offer marketing automation functionality, as in -- if an email is opened, but the desired action is not taken, automatically send a follow-up email in two days or if the email is not opened, automatically send a follow-up email with a different subject line and different customized content in a week.

Constant Contact Helps Our Business Thrive!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall Constant Contacts is phenomenal! It has been the hub of our communications with our team, volunteers, and community. We use it for newsletters, drip campaigns, marketing, and more. People are always so impressed with how beautiful our emails are laid out. It is easy to learn and use. And overall has helped our business grow!

Pros

I love the beautiful layout options. The easy to use and design drag and drop. Ability to add your own images and videos. But most of all the analytics are amazing! They are comprehensive and allow me to download spreadsheets which is so helpful!

Cons

I wish there could be more contacts per pricing tier.

Easy and Reliable

Reviewed 5 years ago

My clients are so appreciative to know that they are on my Constant Contact list. They trust the name, and they appreciate the sleek, professional, informative emails.

Pros

I'm very grateful for the user-friendly interface that makes it easy to build and edit an email campaign that looks professional. I trust that the emails are getting to my clients quickly and securely.

Cons

I wish the software would allow me to build an email and then send the one-time message to a specific set of individuals (as opposed to having to choose from a preexisting list of contacts).

Cons

Su esquema de cobranza no es lo mejor, y resulta más caro que la competencia

Easy to Navigate, Great Tool

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have used other emailing services in the past, but I think Constant Contact is superior in comparison. It is very user friendly and we are very satisfied with the emails we are able to send using the service. Our customers look forward to our communications and this has improved our customer relations.

Pros

Constant Contact is simple to use and an excellent tool for connecting with customers. I can navigate with ease to create new email campaigns and upload new contacts. The stats it shares about the emails is also very helpful to gauge customer interest. I also like the survey feature. Our team loves this to reach our customers and I don't know how we managed without it.

Cons

Overall, I am very happy with Constant Contact. I sometimes have difficulty moving contacts around in lists, but I otherwise enjoy all it's features.

Constant Contact Connects Us

Reviewed 4 years ago

Constant Contact makes it easy to connect with our base on a weekly basis. We send out a weekly newsletter, that is getting more and more noticed and our list is growing. It allows us to segment our list as we see fit, and if we have a question, there is alway a real person we can talk to.

Pros

The platform itself is really easy to use, but the thing I like most is the customer service. Sometimes you just need to be able to talk to an actual person, and with Constant Contact, you can do that.

Cons

Constant Contant pretty steadily adds features, so I don't think there's anything missing per se, but it would be nice if they added a way to cold-email businesses. It would also be able to do a re-send to non-openers that goes out immediately rather than days later.

Great Marketing Resource, Templates Could Be Better

Reviewed 6 years ago

I use Constant Contact multiple times per week to market listings for a sales team. This option has allowed us to reach more contacts than other platforms and increase our visibility in the market.

Pros

Constant Contact is EXTREMELY easy to use - it is fairly straight forward and fool proof. The customer service may be the greatest I've ever experienced with any company. Every single person I have spoken to is so nice, so knowledgeable, and quick to help me out.

Cons

The features for creating layouts is really basic - there are no tables and you are limited to the pre-made columns/sections which can be incredibly frustrating. For instance, if I have five people I want to list at the bottom for contact, I have to do a row of 3 and a row of 2 which gets big and cumbersome. There are limitations to how tall certain tools are which again make the email campaign longer than necessary. The reporting section could use some help, its not easy to navigate or understand. The reporting section is prettier than it is informative.

Constant Contact provides email analytics for your business!

Reviewed 7 years ago
Pros

Constant Contact offers marketing tools via email for both users and administration. Constant Contact supplies users and administrators customization of emails. Constant Contact provides various options such as reporting, registering, campaigning, and customer feedback. Constant Contact has integration of software applications such as Word Press, Formstack, Facebook, MindBody, Outlook, HootSuite, and Salesforce. Constant Contact offers email marketing templates.

Cons

Plans of services not provided on the Constant Contact site. Variations of information may not appear as clearly in the mobile application as oppose to the windows application. Within the editor tool, inserting inline images may not appear depending on the file type. As an administrator or user, attempting to cancel services may not transpire as quickly but the Constant Contact team is working towards a resolution. Constant Contact displays a limited number of archived reports as it relates to email analytics.

Top Notch Email Marketing

Reviewed 4 years ago

I've used Constant Contact to design and automate newsletters monthly for a couple softball leagues I ran over the last 10 years. I've used it to email prospective customers about promotions in the current position I hold in a bathroom remodeling company. It's always simple, efficient, and inexpensive, really.

Pros

I have most often used the email marketing Constant Contact offers. There are pre-designed templates, if you'd prefer to use something already built and just plug in your own information. You can also design your own from scratch. They make it super simple and make branding a part of the process by giving you a color scheme to stick to while designing.

Cons

I was disappointed when the dropped the event portion of their program and integrated with Eventbrite. I personally liked the way it worked through Contact Contact much better then Eventbrite. Also, sometimes the emails go into the spam folder of a recipient and no one wants to end up in the spam folder.

Make your email marketing easier with Constant Contact

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

As a user of Constant Contact, I can say that there are several advantages to this software. First of all, it is easy to use and offers an intuitive user interface, which makes creating and managing email marketing campaigns quick and efficient. In addition, Constant Contact offers a library of professional newsletter templates and customization tools to create emails with my company's image.Constant Contact also allows you to track the performance of email marketing campaigns, with tools to analyze open, click and conversion rates. Finally, Constant Contact offers excellent customer service with live support via chat, phone and email.

Cons

However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. First of all, the customization options are sometimes limited, which can be a bit frustrating for more advanced users who want to create more complex emails. Also, the price of Constant Contact can be a bit steep for small businesses or limited budgets.Despite these minor drawbacks, I think Constant Contact is a great email marketing software for businesses looking to communicate effectively with their customers. The simple design features and the ability to track the performance of email marketing campaigns make it a great choice for businesses of all sizes.

Organizers dream

Reviewed 6 years ago

Overall, I do recommend Constant Contact over its competitors. Through this service, I have been able to keep track of thousands of contacts and stay on top of mailings. Because I work for a non-profit, I often have to put multiple links in emails for people to access, and being able to easily resend the same emails without sending them again to all of the contacts that were previously selected is great!

Pros

I love how organized you can be with this service. It is easy to create and edit mailing lists and contacts. I also appreciate how simple it is to create and publish multiple future mailings and how the mailings are then organized by publishing date so you easily keep track of them. This is extremely helpful for when you have to send a series of mailers in a week for multiple weeks in a row.

Cons

I found that it takes a good bit of effort to figure out the usability of this service. There are a lot of options that Constant Contact has to offer for your mailers, but it is quite overwhelming at first learning everything. If you are not naturally organized or have a plan for how to use this service, you may get easily discouraged at its intricacies when first learning. There are a lot of steps you have to make in order to perform each task.

Constant Contact Review

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

In the 8 months I've used their service, I've found that all of the templates are mobile-friendly and can easily adapt to different screen sizes. Furthermore, each template comes with placeholder text that gives me ideas for what I could include in the template. This is especially helpful for me when I'm feeling stuck for ideas or pressed for time.I also have access to hundreds of customizable templates and layouts with Constant Contact. No matter what my preference is - whether I want something bright and eye-catching or something regular - there is a template for me. Plus, I can use the search bar to easily find templates that match the requirements of my campaign by entering keywords.

Cons

Pricing is my only complaint. While the initial plan begins at $9.99 per month, the cost increases quickly based on the number of contacts you have. For instance, if I were to grow to say over 5000 subscibers, the base plan would cost me $80 per month. In addition, some features, such as text marketing, are add-ons and require an extra fee to use.

Constant Contact

Reviewed 6 years ago

I've used CC to create and track event and orientation registrations, send out email blasts, reminders, and/or updated messages and flyers. I've also used CC to gather new and old leads, create and maintain lists of interested applicants, as well as track applicants who move to admitted students. It is also a great tool for marketing new programs and gathering and testing different message and design styles to see which ones gather more interest. I especially use it to email large groups without being blocked as a spammer. I really don't spam targeted leads, but with some email providers all it takes is like 5 users with the same @.... address and you can get blocked, so being able to use CC for larger emails is a big plus!

Pros

What I like most about Constant Contact (CC) is the ability to import and export contact lists so I can save and re-use particular lists as needed. I often have to run update reports to add newer applicants (or new "interested" leads) and/or change the message text to target a specific audience and then send it to those who need to be contacted; not having to create a brand new list or try and merge two different files is so helpful. Being able to preview email messages when you need to tweak something is a real time saver too! And I love the "reminders" feature so I know when it's time to reconnect with certain interested contacts.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much I don't like about CC...? Oh, right now it will not seamlessly import into the CSM tool our front desk team is using (they end up having to do a little work-around), but that will soon be fixed as they are switching another program that easily works with CC.

Expensive but world class

Reviewed 19 days ago

Constant Contact is a bit more expensive compared to some other email marketing platforms, but I feel like you’re paying for the ease of use and reliability. It’s definitely one of the more user-friendly tools out there, especially if you’re not super tech-savvy. For the features it offers, especially the event management it’s worth it, but I do think there are cheaper options if you’re just looking for basic email marketing.

Pros

CC has amazing delivery, honestly there is no better provider for making sure your email gets to the inbox. On top of that everything is very easy to use and their support is world class. Not always available but always helpful.

Cons

Really expensive to be honest. Also they can be very strict about what your allowed to send.

Constant Contact for Email Campaign & Social Media

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall, I have enjoyed using Constant Contact. It saves time with sending out social media posts. You can schedule a month's worth of posts in advance to different sites. You do not have to post to sites individually.

Pros

The features I like most about Constant Contact are (1) the ability to post on at least 3 social media sites at the same time; (2) sending out email campaigns to your target audience; and (3) being able to schedule posts to go out at a certain time. This software is also easy to use.

Cons

At this time, I have not experienced any issues or features that are difficult to use.

Constant Contact Partners is Awesome

Reviewed 4 years ago

We manage Constant Contact accounts for 70 Real Agents and the Partners console is critical for account management and our sanity. We use it differently than most users, we rarely use templates. We have an intranet process that automates the coding of each email. This allows us to easily customize the emails for each agent and the properties they want to showcase. So use just dump the code into constant contact select the lists and off the emails go. It really is the only way we could effectively manage 70 accounts, otherwise, it would take weeks for us to get through all 70 agents' custom emails.

Pros

We chose Constant Contact over competitors for the Partners Console. We really needed to be able easily to manage 70 accounts.

Cons

Reporting in my opinion is lacking in the partner's console. Often, we send a customized version of the same email to all of our agents. To gather reporting data we have to go back into each individual account and to get Open Rates and Click-through rates for each email we send. It would be awesome if we could select a data window in the Partners console and it provided data on all emails that went out in that time frame. I wish they didn't emphasize their templates so much, which we rarely use. For us being able to automate the emails is critical and it be amazing if they provided custom code templates for building mobile-responsive emails. Updating our automated system is a bear and keeping up with ever-changing email issues only adds to the frustration. Emails is what they do, and it would be very easy for them to provide those options. So we could focus on just automating process .

Easy to use and great US based customer service. A little pricey and they have a lot of rules.

Reviewed a year ago

Great way to make and send emails in an easy and straightforward way. Useful templates and modules. A little pricey unless you use it very frequently. Make sure to know and follow their rules.

Pros

Constant Contact makes setting up and sending email blasts quite easy and straightforward. There are many useful templates and modules that allow you to create emails quickly. You do not have to be very tech savvy to use this software. Their customer support is very nice and helpful and seems to be based in the USA.

Cons

As a company who only sends one or two email blasts a month, it is a bit pricey. We could send emails every day and pay the same amount, so it seems perhaps some other payment parameter would be reasonable. As it is now, you pay by how many contacts you have in your database, regardless of how many you actually contact or how frequently. Also, they have a lot of rules. Your account gets flagged if import a lot of contacts at once or get more than 0.1% spam reports on a blast. Once we uploaded a list of contacts and they weren't satisfied with our explanation of how we got them so they blacklisted the contacts and made us unable to ever contact those people again. If you get more than 0.1% spam reports your account can be suspended or you may get a little scolding.

Cheap and Easy

Reviewed 5 years ago

Constant Contact is an easy to use email marketing solution. It helps me manage my contacts and I can easily segment lists to understand who is clicking through and to what content.

Pros

Constant Contact is easy to use. For the money, the dashboard metrics are great.

Cons

Some of the templates can be difficult to edit. Emails don't always appear in the inbox as the do when building them. Support is very basic and can't always answer my questions.
