Overall Eventbrite is always used for us to promote events that are free. It is easy to setup an event and manage. For selling tickets, however, there are a few other options that offer cheaper fees to nonprofits.

Pros
Posting your event on Eventbrite's calendar and offering registration is a simple process and creates alot of traffic to your event with a few easy steps. If your tickets are free then there is no cost to you in the process at all.

Cons
If you are looking to promote a fundraiser for a nonprofit it can get lost in the shuffle with all the other events they are promoting. It can also be a bit confusing to decipher the pricing for nonprofits to sell tickets through the website.

I used Eventbrite to help plan (50-200 people) events for my Highschool and University. It was perfect. I made collecting money, ticket numbers, and names very easy. It allowed guests to see how popular the events are, how fast tickets are selling and how many tickets are left. And at the end of it, I had excel sheets and data to help show how my ticket selling went. Honestly, the few times I didn't use Eventbright for events, I wholly regretted that decision and paid for it by having to do personal work that eventbright would do instead.

Pros
Its easy to use, it provides all the necessary logistical tools an event planner will need and its very cheap/ reasonably priced for the service it provides (mainly reducing the headache and stress of planning an event)

Cons
It doesn't allow a lot of aesthetic customization. I cant make my event stand out with a customizable Eventbrite page.

High Quality yet Simple Event Hosting Software

All around a great product at a good value.

Pros
Eventbright is a very powerful system that is fairly simple to use. Creating an event page, promoting the event, tracking ticket sales, collecting data about your guests, and checking in guests/accepting tickets are all reasonably intuitive. Eventbright will integrate smoothly with outside marketing platforms.

Cons
Guests for an event can be looked up, but you can't print a report of their registration. Offering paid ticketing costs 10% of the ticket price, which seems expensive, but is still worth it for the convenience.

The basic functionality is a cost-effective way to create online sign-ups for ticketed events

Used occasionally for 2+ years

Review Source: Software Advice

Pros
Cost--if you're not creating paid events, you can keep your usage very inexpensive. If your IT Department doesn't regularly build sign-up sites for you, this can give you easy functionality on a shoestring budget. It can be an appreciable cost for low-cost events (because the pricing would comprise a higher percentage of each ticket's revenue), but if you don't have a payment-processing solution, or don't have the financial controls or manual functionality to collect payments, then it's likely worth its value to you.

Cons
If you don't go with a custom design, your audience may recognize that you opted for a budget-oriented solution. That may not be the kind of client signaling you want to send, but the potentially low cost has to come with some kind of trade-off.

Pros
This software was incredibly user friendly. It offered many options for me to host my event through. Doing ticket sales was very easy to set up and follow through. It was so convenient to take payments and keep everything organized leading up to the event.

Cons
It does cost for every ticket sale. You can choose to cover this fee yourself or wrap it up into the ticket prices. It's not a huge amount, but if you are hosting a charity or a low guest count event where you want to keep costs low, this may not be your first choice due to the cost to use it.

Easy way for Event Management - Ticketing

Pros
Love that there is an option for free ticketed events. Many of our events are free and this is a great way to get a headcount. Being that we do many free events and people just "show up" without signing up, it's great to be able to add attendees manually after the event has taken place to have a more accurate headcount.

Cons
I wish the pricing wasn't so steep. Many of our events are very low priced as we're a non-profit and only charge what it costs us to put the event on.

A great product, no major problems.

Pros
Eventbrite has great exposure to the tech ecosystem. Lots of events are being posted through Eventbrite hence lots of choices for attendees and event organizers. Their registering system is seamless. Creating an event is also extremely easy.

Cons
Although free for free events, pricing can be a bit high for low priced tickets, hence you need to consider price when setting the overall price of the ticket. The main page when searching for events on the web does not contain the filter option. You need to perform another action in order to get to filters.

Easiest Event/Ticket Management Program

Review Source: Capterra

Overall, Eventbrite is our go-to for managing and tracking our upcoming events. While it may not always be the most cost-efficient option, it's by far the easiest to use - which makes the small pricing difference worth it.

Pros
Eventbrite makes planning and managing our corporate events incredibly easy. The options to create different types of tickets, different availability and waitlists make it simple for us to see what we need to push and promote - as well as reach back out to attendees and waitlisters. I also love how easy it connects to social media platforms.

Cons
The fee per ticket purchased is a little more expensive than other ticket management programs. Other programs have flat fees that make more sense for some of our events. Additionally, I also would like to see more development in the MailChimp integration.

Simple Event Discovery Platform

Pros
In addition to advertising on MeetUp, we utilize Eventbrite for recruiting non employees to our user studies, promotional events and select happy hours. The tool is affordable, and fees can be passed directly to ticket purchasers. Indexing optimal--making our events easily discoverable across both Google and Facebook. Analytics tools are intuitive and useful for measuring our growth and success.

Cons
Increased visual customization would be appreciated. Currently, pages have the same general look and feel, limiting the ability to further stand out. As tickets prices get more expensive, the fees are higher--making this less attractive for expensive conferences. Customer service is still in very elementary stages.
