The other excellent feature that I found exclusive to SEM rush was PPC competitor tracking. Knowing what competitors are bidding on is beyond the realm of a usual SEO software and is a great addition.

The most comprehensive tool on the market

I've long been a user of SEMrush, valuing its suite of tools and comprehensive offerings, but recent developments have severely tarnished its reputation in my eyes. Firstly, the abrupt decision to escalate their monthly pricing from a manageable $69/month to a staggering $120/month with only a month's warning came as a real shock. The shakedown for fees is significant and troubling for long-term users with planned budgets around the initial rates. The sting of this price hike was exacerbated when SEMrush decided to monetize what was once a free offering – the Social Media Poster. This fundamental/clunky tool, now costing users $20/month, used to be a free feature, which makes the change feel like a rug pull.Further lowering the product's user experience is the user interface with an array of premium features. This is unnecessary clutter, overwhelms the tool, and complicates staff training. It's frustrating to sift through elements not part of our basic plan. No one wants to see features that they can't use.The platform's UX/UI is a throwback to the 1990s (i.e., tons of vertical and horizontal nav tabs, tags, breadcrumbs, etc. They should upgrade the front-end framework to something more modern and intuitive.Also, they call and email weekly to push users to upgrade. We started with $50/month& we'll never pay for the $250/month Guru plan. Please take us off your weekly dial-for-dollars calls. :)

SEMrush makes a dissapointing turn for the worse with pricing and user interface

It's excellent for SEO experts and agencies, with great tools for researching keywords, competitors, backlinks, local SEO, reporting, and more. I always feel like there is more to it that I'm missing! It's a bit pricey for someone just starting out as an SEO freelancer though.

Super useful for any serious SEO

It's a classic SEO tool and a must-have for every SEO consultant. It's perfect for quickly analyzing competitor websites as well as your own. It's a very powerful tool if you know how to use it and what to look for. In my opinion, it's only worthwhile in the hands of SEO and marketing experts.

Overall, I'd select Semrush over any other SEO platform or software. They consistently have been dependable and reliable.

                                                       Before we started implementing SEMrush into our system, we were Googling our competitors' websites and seeing what words they were coming up for all their SEO. And we were copying that. But once we got SEMrush, we no longer had to do that. It was showing us what our competitors were doing and what we could improve on our SEO for our website.
                                                       We ended up choosing SEMrush because we reached out to multiple companies and they had recommended it to us before, different marketing companies. We were also seeing it pop up on Google when we looked for SEO websites. And we looked at a bunch of reviews.
                                                       At first, SEMrush is a little confusing. Obviously, if it's your first time using an SEO machine like that, you're going to have a little bit of a learning curve. But we looked up some tutorials online via HubSpot and whatnot, and we were able to really put down what we needed rather quickly.
                                                       I recommend if you're looking into getting SEMrush is to look at some tutorials online via HubSpot or YouTube to see if your company is really ready to dive into SEO marketing.

                                                       We use Semrush for SEO purposes. So to increase our brand recognition and identity externally, and also to alter the way that we show up in different search results, which is really, really important for our brand. Especially through COVID, and as we navigate all of these new challenges and landscapes.
                                                       What I really love about Semrush is how easy the dashboards are to use. I've worked with other SEO products in the past that aren't quite this simple, but Semrush really has everything in a nice, tight little package for us. So it's really easy to navigate for various users.
                                                       One thing that I would recommend changing about Semrush is potentially the pricing structure and how the discounts shake out when you pay annually versus monthly. I think that that's something that could potentially help a lot of organizations, like ours, when they're first using it to understand kind of how those discounts work, how they factor into the overall pricing, but also how to get the most bang for your buck out of that. And then potentially even extending the discounts and pricing beyond the 16 or so percent that it currently is.
