Jodi B.: Hi there. My name is Jodi. I work at Peter D. Lebowitz Company, and I work as a controller, and I give Sage five out of five stars. I do monthly bank racks for each of our entities, and I enter all the information from my spreadsheets into ACCPAC, and it generates terrific reports, much better than just my Excel spreadsheets. What I like most about Sage Accounting is just that it's so precise and the reports that it generates are just so succinct. Everything is easy to read. Actually that's the most important thing. They're very easy to read, whether it's the trial balance, the balance sheet, the earnings statement. It's just so easy to read. So when I give the reports to my colleagues, it's very clear to them how we're doing in various areas. So I just love that, the ease of it really. It's very easy to enter my information about the companies, the numbers. I enter it, I post it, and it shoots out a great report. I think what I would change about Sage Accounting, if I had to change one thing, I guess the reverse check. There's a lot of steps when reversing a check. Makes it a little bit challenging, but doable.

I've used Sage Cloud Business, and in a scale of one to five, I'll give Sage Cloud Business five out of five. I use Sage Cloud Business in my organization for day-to-day accounting, HR payment systems and asset management, basically. What I like most about Sage Business Cloud is it's specifically designed for small business enterprise. So if you are into a small business enterprise, Sage Cloud Business is the best for you to do. The only thing I dislike about Sage Cloud Business is there is no coding structure on Sage Cloud Business. Probably, maybe, because it's designed specifically for small-sized business, so there's no coding structure in Sage Cloud Business. Thank you.

The website is user friendly. One of its best features is its integration systems. I can easily connect Sage Accounting with other software such as Quickbooks. It also connects with Stripe. This feature allowed my business to qualify for funding because it showed an overall history of my payouts and business stability.
Some of the more advanced features are included only in the more expensive plan which might not be affordable for every small business.

I really like the software. It is user friendly and easy to pick up. More of our clients are using this software and we are using this software more and more and each time its a breeze to use.
The reports and how easy they are to edit and personalise. We use the software for some audit clients and its very accessible and adaptable. It is good to always have a live, up to date version of our clients records, the online version of Sage tends to be better as you can login from anywhere.
I prefer the view on Sage 50 desktop of customers and sales and suppliers and purchases. I think it is easier to drill down into transactions, errors, and issues on the desktop version.

It does a fantastic jobs when generating reports. Reports generated are too detailed and loved by the accountants. However, when it comes to user friendliness experience, there is a bit of struggle to understand how it works.
The quality and variety of reports generated which is useful for audit purposes
If you don't know how to use chart of accounts, you may end up creating a mess to the extent that your Trial Balance does not tally!

Overall, great product. This has alot of functionality, including tracking expense, accounts receivable, inventory, etc.
The tracking mechanisims and integration into banking.
The financial reports such as balance sheets and P&L can be developed or customized to be more user friendly.

The cloud version of Sage works well for our business. We all have access to the same product which is up to date at all times.
The difference in price between the packages. We currently have Sage Accounting and were looking for a multi location stock programme. This would be on Line 50 Advanced which is over £150 per month difference in the price.

Big thumbs up in all. I love using your product in the main.
Ease of use. Speeds up reporting. I have worked in a large organisations previously and this software generates the reports I was used to seeing as standard. They are standard in my chosen package. You can call up latest bank detail automatically from your bank. Monthly payment option to use the software. Instant access even when you are out of the office, via the app, for viewing status of invoices.
Cost increase every year without option to debate it. I do not need anything more than I have been using in the original package. I only use this software for convenience and could do all the work manually. The bank feed has failed a few times. Support has always sorted for me but it is always inconvenient to have to trouble shoot and takes time to sort.

I have been using Sage accounting since the 90's It has been developed over the years to cope with the evolving times.
The latest cloud version has a limited capability compared with the desktop version, which is frustrating at times, but if you are new to using the comparison isn't there.

It's easy to set up and train clients to use. Even someone with little technical experience can easily use once set up by a professional

Not overly impressed
Standard procedures necessary for a small business.
See comments above. It is impossible to communicate by e-mail. Have wanted to send details of Sage invoice payments to Credit and Collection Department but without success. They have threatened cancellation because of perceived non payment of a couple of pounds.

Works well being an online, cloud based product - like being able to have multiple users (all of the directors) access accounts reports and information from wherever they logon as opposed to having to pay for multiple user accounts or all use a single machine in the office.
Lack of budget reporting is frustrating as is not being able to fully interrogate double entry journal records.

Very good but as described above there is always room for improvement
It’s simple and efficient to use. It was also easy to implement and transfer data
There are some features which could be improved eg when email invoice out customer the invoice shows as being attached but you have to open the email to find any supporting documentation caused much confusion with customers Another example it would be helpful if documents ie contracts could be attached to customers and suppliers

We replaced Sage50 with Sage200, and also Sap B1 was migrated to Sage200, with the help of Sage partners at TN4 this was a relatively pain free migration in all cases, and they all worked well to meet our timescales and requirements, as well as helping us find other partners to integrate Sage200 with other related solutions such as barcode scanning, shipping, and MRP solutions that are not in Sage out of the box.
This software does everything a small, medium or relatively large sized business would need. The backend database is SQL server, so it's fast and well structured, and we found lots of modules and external products integrate well with it.
Implementation and training needed external consultants to do it at scale and at speed. The licence model is per user, so as soon as you start adding quite a few employees the cost of running the software gets rather pricey, though it's comparable to SAP B1 for example. We used our own servers to host the application and database, and although it's called "cloud" it's really not, but perhaps in the future.

The overall experience is definitely good and it's worth every penny if one can afford it.
Sage Accounting application improved our efficiency and business processes by much. It's features are integrated and there's no functional flaws at all; we can trust it's reports!
When you have 10+ users, it'll be a bit expensive to maintain Sage. Besides, initially the learning curve to get accustomed to it's features may take some more time for the traditional ERP system users

Excellent, the more you learn about the software the more possibilities to improve your business, an all in one package.
With starting on a new venture it was imperative to start off with the right software, Sage gives us everything we currently need in terms of invoicing, banking, ensuring all payments (in & out) are allocated, plus the flexibility to set up your own product codes & pricing structure specific to our business.
I would like to see a word search feature included in the invoice and purchasing section, rather than have to go through individual invoices to find the product I am looking for.

We had been one of their first online store users when SAGE started with their online store offer. Then the support and customer service was outstanding. Sadly they outsourced their online shop to another company and we needed to move our existing online shop to a new platform. One would think that "SAGE" would facilitate this move for free, as the old platform was discontinued. Well that was not so, we ended up paying a large sum of money for the move. The service level of the new "SAGE" company was horrific, the treatment we received was shocking, everything took weeks and months to finalise. We ended up doing most of the work ourselves and then received a bill for their general set up package and for re-directing the pages to the new site. Unbelievable and shocking! We are also using their accounting software that we like, if we find another way of integrating the accounting part easily with another online shop provider, we will move. They do not deserve our business as they clearly don't appreciate loyal and long standing customers.
The online store platform integrates easily with sage cloud accounting. Nevertheless, the customer service is shocking, shocking, shocking!

Using Sage One allowed us to combine our Accounts and Payroll systems into one. It makes it easy to manage our accounts from any location and on any device. It also removed the worry of backing up and securing our accounts records.
The fact that Sage One is cloud based, is probably the best feature. No more endless backups and annoying updates to perform. Everything is taken care of and the support team are amazing. It's also simple to grant access to your Accountant, who can then do whatever that need to when it's your year end etc. A very clear interface provides an overview of your current situation and makes it easy for you to do your everyday tasks like entering and raising invoices, or checking who owes you money. You can easily produces account statements and everything can be emailed straight to your customers, so far less physical paperwork.
The Invoicing template choices are limited, but with a bit of creativity, you can definitely make something you can work with. The thing that needs the most attention is the method by which invoices and statements are emailed out. they appear to be from the email address you give the system, but are sent by Sage. Consequently, some clients weren't receiving their emails. We just turn any invoices into PDF's and email them ourselves. No big deal as we are still paperless, but it would be nice if we didn't have to. hopefully something that will be addressed on a future update.
