Captive user

Reviewed 18 days ago

While there are many things I don't like about Acrobat, there's no other tool with the same level of functionality. I'm captive, but not for good reasons.

Pros

It's the most robust tool for PDF managing and editing. It has everything you need for content management and technical tasks. Very complete.

Cons

It's not as easy to use as modern-day applications. Annotation in desktop has always been bad. Browser integration is always messy.

Handling PDF formatted documents with greater versatility as a word processor

Reviewed 6 years ago

This tool has been successful in my professional life, since most of the interaction with documents for the generation and presentation of reports uses an Adobe Acrobat DC as main means, the inclusion of these new features allows to facilitate the review and highlight the most important ideas. important or the most common mistakes in a job, as well as the ability to customize a job in such a way as to prevent the plagiarism of the document.

Pros

The most interesting of this version are the new properties that range from its innovative presentation and appearance, to the possibility of creating notes and underlining ideas that highlight comments we make to the text we are reading, the Acrobat Reader DC program also allows you to incorporate our electronic signature documents or your initials and send the form electronically tool that persnalizes...

Cons

The installation of the program usually takes too long and the file in my opinion could be less heavy, also to work optimally must be the PC or mobile phone connected to the Internet and the latest version of the program must be updated , on the other hand, the options assistant can be optimized to provide the user with greater resources when producing or editing a document from the PC, other difficulties of the program can be found in the MENU when we go to our PRFERENCES, there to be able to optimize the program and improve the work experience requires a certain level of office management, being to my trial a complicated situation to handle between the user with little experience in handling PDF and the facilities presented by the Acrobat Reader file DC in this new presentation.

Great pack of features

Reviewed 2 months ago
Pros

It gives you the chance to edit PDFs, which is certainly a super useful feature, and it also helps convert to/from PDF. It's also very useful that it has an electronic signature feature that makes our lives easier as we're constantly asking our clients to sign on our Order Confirmations or Quotes and the good news is they don't need to have a license to do so. Related to it, it's quite useful that all the documents sent for signature are uploaded to the cloud, as it gives you the opportunity to modify who can sign, send reminders, etc.

Cons

I think that it's not that intuitive, especially since they changed the overall view and layout for the electronic signature. Occasionally, after I send a document for signature, the program freezes and sometimes you need to shut it via the Task Manager. Lastly, when converting a PDF into an editable file, the special characters are sometimes not interpreted correctly, so you spend a lot of time fixing this.

Creating and Collecting Gone Wild

Reviewed 3 years ago

We don’t have staff dedicated to using Acrobat DC on a daily basis. This is because the benefits of the software allow us to spend minimal time creating documents and forms, which can then be easily distributed to the proper recipients. We may not use it every day, but that is only because it works so well. The creation of forms that previously took hours of tweaking and changing only to come out less than perfect is now a simple procedure that our staff can complete without spending inordinate amounts of time trying to “figure out” what to do.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat DC has been a vital addition to our office. It integrates seamlessly into our current work environment to the point that many staff members do not even realize that we are using it. For the staff members who do use it, their unanimous response is that there will be an uprising if we cancel the subscription to the software. The ability to edit PDFs, create dynamic forms for client questionnaires,...

Cons

Our clients who are not computer savvy seem to be averse to using Adobe Reader DC to fill out documentation. Having an interface option that resembles other popular word processors would ease that burden, but it is by no means a deal-breaker when it comes to evaluating whether to retain our license.

Use the standard to get it done right

Reviewed 4 years ago

Lawyers can save tons of time by using a document naming and organization scheme that includes scanning to .pdf using Adobe Acrobat DC. Adobe Acrobat DC is the best for .pdf

Pros

Acrobat Reader DC integrates well with google drive that can pull up a .pdf on my phone in seconds.

Cons

Changing from a personal to a team account was a bit redundant, but okay. Once that was done it was cool to have a little picture pop up when people edited things.

Adobe Acrobat Review

Adobe Acrobat is surprisingly smooth, reliable, and a joy to work with for all your form editing, converting, sharing, signing needs.

Pros

I liked most that when its needed the most..its easy to access and simple to conduct the tasks needed. No other software out there for this purpose, works as well as this. This is my number one, go to software for these tasks. I have tried many.

Cons

Not a thing I could possibly say bad about this software. Number one choice!

Powerful PDF management features save time and frustration

Reviewed 5 years ago

We've solved multiple issues with Acrobat DC that were not solvable with other PDF management software. The efficiency with which DC performs basic and advanced PDF manipulation is unmatched. We've realized numerous benefits across features such as OCR, page extraction, document combining, and much more.

Pros

I like the ability to edit PDF documents. This proves to be an indispensable feature when preflighting print projects, fixing typos in Print ready files received from customers, etc. I also like the highly efficient PDF file size that Acrobat DC provides. It's pure wizardry.

Cons

I don't like the way the document cropping and resizing works. I feel that this feature could be simplified and drastically improved.

Ubiquitous to this day

Reviewed 2 years ago

Overall it's what you'd expect, gripes aside this is the standard for a reason. There are other options out there, but given the feature set and how the .PDF is basically Adobe's file format, you aren't really conceding to anything but perhaps the cost when you hop into this. If you can get educational or non-profit pricing on this, it is much better than an outright retail license. Would like to see an enterprise or non-profit professional version that was optional to make deployment on a large scale a bit more flexible.

Pros

Being the program natively associated with .PDF (though others TRY and take control of them in the OS), I like that core features and anything new associated with the format will be available in Acrobat. Document consolidation is fantastic, and then the OCR function is actually pretty robust, coming in very handy for less tech-savvy users. While you do want people to grasp some of the fundamentals for PC use, it's nice to have an advanced feature like that to assist in a pinch, instead of having to explain why that's an odd thing to ask a PC. The security features are also excellent, assisting a lot with users handling sensitive legal documents.

Cons

Deployment is my biggest gripe, as doing large-scale installation is fine...as long as you have a volume license key under single key. My organization uses multiple keys depending on the department and/or center they operate out of. This is very difficult as installation during our WDS imaging would be quite helpful, but we can't if the license key differs. This was our decision, but the price we receive...

Cons

dobe Acrobat is a paid software and can be costly for some users, especially for those who only need to use it occasionally. It can be difficult for some users to learn and master all of the advanced features and tools that it offers. The software can be quite resource-intensive, which can slow down older computers or devices. It does not include all the features of other Adobe products like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop etc.It has a steep learning curve for some users, especially those who are not familiar with PDF editing and formatting tools. It requires an internet connection to validate the license and can sometimes be a problem while working offline. There are some alternatives available like Foxit PhantomPDF, Nitro Pro etc which may be less expensive and offer similar functionality.

A solid pdf editor but not up to date!

Reviewed a year ago

Adobe Acrobat is a very solid product. The overall experience and the community (in their official community forum) make it one of the best out there. But as I mentioned, some features (especially attaching media files and creating 3D pdf files) need to be improved and worked on.

Pros

We all know Adobe Acrobat! One of the first powerful pdf editors out there. The Editor is capable of doing everything! For basic editing and even for OCR there are better alternatives! for OCR and convert a normal pdf to a searchable pdf file, Abby Finereader is a better alternative in my opinion. But why Adobe Acrobat is above all? it is because Adobe decided to allow us to integrate our Plugins (written in JavaScript language). So basically if I need to execute automatic editing in a document, add a personalized Stamp and many other things, I can do them with Plugins. And there are third-party plugins to purchase available online.

Cons

The file formats required to be able to attach them to the pdf and the preview functions to add 3D models and media files are still limited and not up to date. (it is still not possible to add .STL files directly!). Also, when I add 3D Models in Microsoft Word and convert the word document to pdf, Adobe Acrobat doesn't recognize the 3D Model and substitutes it with a fixed image. this is so annoying since I then have to manually crop the image and replace it with the same 3D file!

Adobe: The best PDF editor and creator especially for business use.

Reviewed 8 months ago

Despite being expensive and complicated, once you learn to use it effectively it saves you time and improves your work productivity. There's nothing better than knowing that your work is safely stored and that you can access it at any time, anywhere, using any device. It's actually a great value for money.

Pros

Security features - documents are kept safe and unauthorized persons can access them. Easy to make changes to a PDF document like editing and sharing files using links that can be sent via email.Their customizable form fields are flexible allowing users to create text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-down lists, etc, while designing forms tailored to their specific needs. It saves time by providing pre-existing forms, templates, or invoices to enable us to only edit according to our specifications without having to start from scratch.

Cons

The Adobe full-featured version is expensive. It has a lot of features that can be complex for new users, so people need to take time to learn to use it effectively.

How Adobe Acrobat helps make my work Easy

Reviewed a year ago

so far so good, i will continue to use Adobe Acrobat and will forever keep on recommending it to my friends, it has been a blessing experience so far

Pros

Creating and Editing PDf is the best, and being able to sign a document Digital just makes it the best, and lastly Optical Charater Recognition that allows me to convert a scanned document nto a editable text just makes it the best in the world, we use it for our Printing and it has positively impacted my printing business very very much, we no longer spend time to type scanned documents, neither do we spend time to sign documents, and with it security that helps me to grant access just to the person i want, has help in security clients personal information

Cons

More advanced editing tools or additional options for customizing the software's use interface will help alot and also more advance collaboration and project management features will also help.if Learning tutorials like videos can always be attached in adobe Acrobat it will help for beginners, to guide them through, i had difficulties using it at first and youtube help me out but others easily give up, if they are videos tutorials in the application itself it will help beginners intergrate easily

Top Contender for PDF Management

Overall it is a great tool, but without the advanced features, which are expensive I am not sure how useful this tool would be.

Pros

Super easy to use and fast response time. It is really easy for me to edit the elements of my documents and convert them to different document types.

Cons

The pricing can get expensive depending on what subscription needs you require. Sometimes it also lags and crashes when working with large numbers of documents.

Adobe Acrobat DC

Reviewed 2 years ago

My experience is very wonderful and I rely on it completely in my work and in my home and during my university studies I did not buy paper books and replaced them with a tambourine and increased work on it after I was on the phone I am really grateful to this company, which is part of my daily entertainment, work and cultural life

Pros

• So useful for this day and age. I can set up fields I want filled, mark certain ones as required and then save & send for completion. • Multiplatform (desktop, mobile, and web) • Offers PDF editing and conversion options • Fast high-quality output delivery • Print to PDF • Forms to fillable PDFs conversions • PDFs to Office formats conversions

Cons

• Unfortunately, recently, my office has been fighting a battle with Reader DC which have forced us to go back and purchase older copies of Reader just to be able to do our daily tasks. For some reason, the newest updates have picked a battle with what seems to be certain HP print drivers, rendering all Windows processes extremely slow, especially upon printing. • The trial period is short • I've tried pulling images from PDFs using Acrobat DC and sometimes it works like a charm and other times it just doesn't work. It pixelates the image or it doesn't pull the entire thing. • When converting files from PDF to Microsoft program, the quality is low and the format must be worked on again • I wish Adobe could be more cost efficient.

Still the best, at a high price

Reviewed 8 months ago

I would expect the pioneers of PDF format to always be the benchmark -and i'm happy to say they are!You can expect frequent updates form Adobe and always easier ways to handle PDFs... it's the most feature rich handler i've used (And i've used many). HOWEVER - there are alot of very good competitors out there for a fraction of the cost of Adobe Acrobat with most of the features you find here. If you run a business or you're a professional where PDFs are a considerably important part of your workflow go for it. For everyone else, there are great free or cheaper options out there with all the functionality you want.

Pros

Frequent updates. All the features you can think of in terms of PDF workloads.Amazing file format conversion options.

Cons

Expensive.Editing text is a toss up for me - more times than not it feels like its a sib sluggish and accurate formatting to the original format isn't guaranteed.

Convert your document to the desired format

Reviewed 10 months ago

Adobe Acrobat is a platform where people can convert their documents in any format they want and can also open by the use of this platform. I am glad that I used this platform. With the help of this platform, I was able to convert my documents into different formats.

Pros

The best features of Adobe Acrobat -- It is very easy to use things on this platform as one can easily convert documents in different formats such as PDF, JPG, and many more. - The platform also provides an editing option to edit the document and can change the document colour and many more.- It also provides a cloud storage option, we can save our documents in it and also access it as and when required. - It supports all types of platforms and devices like ioS, Android, Windows etc. - We can generate a large number of images/documents in one PDF without any restrictions in it.- The interface is very user-friendly- It supports all types of document formats and due to this, it can open any type of document.

Cons

The cons of Adobe Acrobat -If your phone/computer gets off in the middle of the process of conversion then you will lose all of your open documents. It utilizes more amount of RAM of the device and due to this device becomes slow. Adobe Acrobat does not work well on iOS devices, it lags sometimes or takes a longer period of time to generate a PDF. The cloud server provided by this platform is expensive compared to other platforms

Documents? Have you tried Adobe Acrobat?

Reviewed a year ago

It is a software that I have personally used for a long time. It is a standard software that you can use in all personal and professional business life. The biggest difference from other alternative software on the market is the functions and features it contains. It is easy to install, quickly adaptable and has a licensing method for IT processes. The advantage it provides in the cloud environment is ease of administration in terms of size. Thanks to its integration with other software, it saves a lot of lost resources.

Pros

It can recognize, read and analyze all our documents that we keep digitally as PDFs. Instead of a program with a different version for each document, we can quickly start using a single updated Adobe software. We can quickly resolve all processes (translation, correction, rearrangement, adding explanations, etc.) spent on documents at a single point. It can be done in a much more advantageous and reliable way with the advantage of time, resources and cost. Integration with dropbox and OneDrive, which we use the most in our business processes and make all our time more efficient. At the same time, it minimizes resource consumption with its sharing feature. Especially adding protection to PDF files that need protection is the best part.

Cons

If other software products you use are incompatible with Acrobat versions, you may get some errors. Basically if you update your software this problem will be solved. These problems are usually local. They are not software-specific bugs. The problems we experienced before were quickly resolved (freezing, unable to print, etc.).

Très bon logiciel de lecture, modification, et édition PDF avec d'autres fonctions avancées

Reviewed a year ago

The Gold Standard in PDF Editing

Reviewed a year ago

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been positive. It provides a comprehensive set of tools for working with PDF files, and the integration with other Adobe products has been helpful. However, the price may be a barrier for some users, and the learning curve for some of the more advanced features can be steep. The large file sizes can also be problematic in some cases.

Pros

Comprehensive features: Adobe Acrobat provides a wide range of features for working with PDF files, including editing, converting, commenting, and security tools.Integration with other Adobe products: Adobe Acrobat integrates well with other Adobe products, such as Photoshop and InDesign, allowing for seamless workflows.Accessibility: Adobe Acrobat has a range of accessibility features, such as the ability to add alt text to images and the ability to create accessible PDFs.User-friendly interface: Adobe Acrobat has a clean and intuitive interface that is easy to navigate, even for those without much technical expertise.Mobile app: Adobe Acrobat has a mobile app, which allows users to work on their PDF files while on the go.

Cons

Price: Adobe Acrobat can be expensive, especially for individuals or small businesses.Steep learning curve: While the interface is user-friendly, some of the more advanced features can take some time to learn.Large file sizes: Adobe Acrobat can create large file sizes, which can be problematic when sharing or storing PDFs.

Good PDF software

Reviewed a year ago

I have been using Adobe Acrobat for a few years now and I find it to be a very useful and powerful tool. I primarily use it to create, edit and share PDF documents. It has a wide variety of features and functions that make it easy to use, such as adding annotations and editing text.

Pros

I like Adobe Acrobat for its ability to help me convert and edit documents quickly and easily. Its features include PDF creation from a variety of file types, editing existing PDFs, and converting PDFs to other file formats. It also helps me to add comments, highlight text, and add text and images to documents. I can also create forms in Adobe Acrobat and make sure that any changes I make are automatically saved. Its security features help me to protect sensitive documents from unauthorized access.

Cons

Adobe Acrobat can be quite difficult to navigate for those who are not familiar with the program and its tools. The program is quite complex, and it can be time-consuming to learn all of its features, as well as how to use them. Additionally, the program is often slow to respond to commands, which can be frustrating for users. The price of the program can also be prohibitive for some users, as it is quite expensive compared to some of its competitors. Finally, the program can be quite buggy, with some features not functioning correctly or unexpectedly crashing.

I have had a positive experience with Adobe Acrobat. The software is easy to use and offers a wide range of features that make it easy to create, edit, and share documents. The ability to create and edit PDFs is particularly useful, as it ensures that documents maintain their formatting and layout no matter what device or program is used to view them. Additionally, the collaboration features in Adobe Acrobat have been helpful for working with team members on projects. I have found Adobe Acrobat to be a reliable and essential tool for my professional work.

Pros

One of the biggest pros of Adobe Acrobat is its ability to create and edit PDF files. This feature is extremely useful for professionals who need to share documents with others and want to ensure that the formatting and layout remain consistent, no matter what device or program is used to view the document. Additionally, Adobe Acrobat allows users to add annotations, comments, and signatures to documents, which is helpful for collaboration and review processes. Overall, Adobe Acrobat is a versatile and reliable tool that can help professionals streamline their workflows and improve productivity.

Cons

There are a few potential cons to using Adobe Acrobat. One con is that it can be expensive, particularly for individuals or small businesses who may not need all of the features offered in the full software version. Additionally, some users may find the interface cluttered or confusing, making it more difficult to navigate. Finally, Adobe Acrobat may require a strong internet connection to access certain features, which could be an issue for users who do not have a reliable internet connection.
