User opinions about Notion price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 269 reviews that provide robust commentary on Notion's price and value, 65% mention it in a positive light.

Reviewers appreciate that Notion offers a free plan with many essential features, making it a cost-effective solution for personal use, students, and small businesses. They find the free version sufficient for basic needs, including unlimited pages, various templates, and customization options. Users think the pricing plans are affordable and suitable for small teams, with additional features available in the paid plans. Some users report that the Personal Pro account is free for students and academics, which is highly valued.

However, some reviewers feel that the pricing structure can be confusing and expensive, especially for larger teams requiring advanced features. They mention that certain functionalities, like collaboration tools and higher storage limits, are locked behind premium plans, which can be a financial burden for some users. Some users say the limitations of the free version, such as restricted storage and the number of blocks, can be inconvenient. Reviewers indicate that the cost of adding more collaborators and accessing advanced features can be high, making it less accessible for users with tight budgets.

“What I dislike the most about Notion is the pricing structure. While Notion offers a free plan, I find the pricing structure of its premium plans to be a downside especially as I seek software that is free to use or that I can factor into my monthly budget.”

Integration rating: 4.6 (50)

We do a lot of inventory count and check up for our online store, so we need to do these quite frequently, so having this integration allow us to be tight with our inventory and sharing the update on Slack help us a lot !

Slack was our way of quick communication and announcements. Integrating it with our "virtual workspace" Notion was important to have a one-stop-shop for the work we did.

Slack is where our virtual workplace lives - it's where all conversations (outside of meetings) take place. Connecting Notion to it is vital.

We use Slack for communication and Notion for documentation & sharing meeting notes. Integrating the two tools makes both processes seamless.

Slack is the main communication tool, and being able to quickly access notion pages is key for everyone to adopt the tool.

It's nice, but not integral. Good to be updated on changes via Slack rather than email though!

Out of the box the inability to change the notification text and formatting sucks.

This integration best help all team communication and automation's notifications

Google Drive logo
Google Drive

Integration rating: 4.8 (77)

Their integration is important because I tend to leave links to documents I uploaded on Google Drive in my Notion workspace. Since I tend to forget some files on my Google Drive even exist, I realized that leaving their links in my workspace allows me to easily find them, especially when working on projects.

The way we used it at the startup I was working remotely at was kind of like a complete workplace with all the documents and various functions and projects loaded on there. Gdrive was essential to that.

I can't fault Google drive. I've been loyal to Google drive for more than ten years. I've never had a problem.

Notion allows to link your documents stored in your google drive via intuitive and easy to use shortcuts.

Integrating Google Drive to Notion is important because I can link important files on my notes.

This integration best help connect the drive for easy 3rd party accessibility

Share documents, audios and videos with team and is essential to our business

Integration rating: 4.8 (20)

Manages the Integration between Fathom and Notion - bridges the gap. Having notion and Zapier work together is great for the non native integrations you might need

For workflows it's great for sharing data. I don't have to do things twice. I can automate and set it and forget messages or updates that are required.

As a low code/no code platform, the real power lies in the links, automations and integrations between different tools and platforms.

Thank goodness for Zapier! Anything we use that doesnt natively integrate, can be zapped.

Very easy to use zapier with Notion and integrate functions from other software packages

This way I can automate workflows and don't have to create recurring tasks individually

My calendar is the central hub of both my personal and business life everything is time blocked so having it integrated with Notion was non-negotiable. Luckily it is a seamless integration and works great.

As a student, I have all my classes scheduled in google calendar and by integrating it to notion it makes it easier for me to schedule tasks by having it embedded into my templates.

The biggest importance with Google Calendars integration is the way it seamlessly works with Notions own calendar app and allows for easy scheduling.

I love that our global distributed team can have one calendar to collaborate, so nothing gets lost in the weeds.

Notion sends webhooks with all the data so I can then do absolutely anything with it. Still would prefer a better native Slack integration though.

As a low code/no code platform, the real power lies in the links, automations and integrations between different tools and platforms.

Using Make, we can synchonize our user database with Notion and other tools (CRM, Help Desk, Mailing list, etc.)
