Envoy overview

Envoy Visitors handles all aspects of guest check-in, including pre-registration. The application allows users to capture signatures and sign legally binding agreements (NDAs) with guests. Envoy can print guest and employee badges. The app is customizable, with more customizable fields in the Premium and Enterprise versions. Those versions of the application also feature Box and Salesforce integrations. Exclusives of the Enterprise version include one free iPad Air, badge printer, and stand for each location, as well as priority support.

And now with Envoy Deliveries, you can track incoming deliveries and send notifications to recipients reminding them to pick them up.

Envoy for iPad also supports its iPhone companion app, Envoy Passport, which allows Envoy to detect visitor iBeacons, letting the host business know when a guest has arrived. Envoy Passport also allows employees to receive push notifications.

The app is fully scalable, allowing it to suit businesses of all sizes. Multiple locations are supported and the app natively supports a large number of countries and languages, allowing it to serve even international chains.

In addition to its iOS application, Envoy features a Web-based dashboard that duplicates all the app’s controls from any workstation. This dashboard also allows users to view and export a variety of customer data sets.

Your visitors will love using the iPad app to register (much impressive than the usual pen/paper, or receptionist doing all the typing). Notifications are very useful to let you know when a visitor has arrived. Pre-registration sends them an email which can be customized to include map directions, SOP's in the office, etc. All logs are easily downloadable for numbers and data analytics (This is good for office planning).The iPad app is very user-friendly. Just a few taps, and we get to capture important visitor info (including photo). It gives the front desk a wow factor. The notifications is the feature most appreciated by our company, since they get notified in real time via email/sms/slack upon visitor registration of their guests. The pre-registration of visitors makes the visitor experience more pleasant. They receive an email/calendar invite about their appointment (which is customizable). Envoy also provides basic analytics dashboard to quickly view how many visitors there are/have been, and which persons/places are most visited. The visitor log is easy to extract as .csv for further data analytics.

The stress of having multiple visitors, delivery vendors, ringing telephones and employees at reception with questions all at the same time was lessened, it didn't disappear; it just took one thing off the multi-tasking plate required to do the job well. I was able to quickly see at a glance what visitors were in the building. Following up with employees to collect their visitors was easier.Having been a Corporate Receptionist at other companies I have found this product to make the task of registering visitors unbelievably helpful. Visitors enter their own name into a system which then prints the badge and automatically notifies the employees. No more complaints about having misspelled a name or not notified an employee. We also use the photo function which makes it very easy for our employees to identify their visitor when collecting them from reception. Our clients are also impressed with our high tech sign in process.

I have used Envoy in my last firm and now have lobbied to get it at my new place of employment after having used it for 2 years. I am the receptionist and need to check in every visitor personally. Envoy not only looks professional and high tech, it is the same or similar as what our clients have seen in other tech firms. As a law firm with many tech company clients and start ups it is important that we use the latest technology. As far as the product, it is streamlined, easy to learn, use and creates a great first impression.I love the dashboard which allows me to track visitors as they come and go. I used to use a paper sign-in sheet: I could not read people's handwriting and they resisted filling it out. Envoy requires specific information (which I can somewhat customize) so it encourages the visitor to give me the information I need. I also love that I can export it to create reports as needed and that I can easily look up visitor information for any specific date.

Wow-factor for our guests/visitors! Ease of processing visitors for our receptionists/security, and instant notifications to the hosts. We are able to digitize and automate our visitor registration workflow. The notifications are great (e.g., thru e-mail, sms, slack). The iPad user interface is user-friendly and customizable. We also get to extract all the data and the built-in dashboard also has some visual analytics for easy reference. The customer support is fast and the staff is friendly to deal with. From the minute I expressed interest in the Envoy system, their customer support was on top of it answering every question I had with as well as being transparent about the capabilities of the system. I work in a residence hall on a college campus and we use Envoy to track our visitors- a huge safety concern and Envoy makes that easier for us.I love the Dashboard. Super user friendly, the search feature is awesome, and I love that it uses an iPad for sign-ins rather than the staff doing the sign-in manually. The text feature works well for our students.

  • Easy to use, good value, effective.
  • Easy to use. Frequent feature upgrades. Great documentation and support.
  • Intuitive, easy to understand. I have not used customer support so would rather not review for customer support.
  • AD integration, emails and texts to employees when a visitor arrives, picture of visitor after check in, iPad integration, online support
  • Any issues have always been resolved.
  • My only request would be priority shipping on custom label orders.
  • N/A - Software definitely does the job, however we don't have a complicated use case.
  • The jump in pricing from mid to high tier is a bit much to commit to; although I'm sure it's worth it.
