The platform allows users to ingest, embed, extract, and display technical metadata such as encoding formats, bitrate, color space, and more. Managers can configure multiple ingest workflows, batch ingest metadata from external sources, track their status, and send progress reports via email. Cortex enables administrators to set up role-based permissions for users and remove access when their LDAP account is disabled.

Features include duplicate file detection, access control, audit log, unique ID codes, and real-time content publishing.

Team members can collaborate, comment, review, approve, and establish ownership over assets. Cortex helps supervisors configure and send email alerts or reminders to users about task assignments.
