Most likeable feature we found in the system for our organisation is the easy integration of our Bookkeeping software and the ability to import the payroll journal. That made our cost centre reporting very easy and accurate.

It would be great if it can be linked to the Outlook Calendar!

Better access management to features and employee files - security setting and default position on some features can be frustrating.It generates a lot of emails for administrators as employees work through the onboarding process - updates on bank details, updates on super, updates on tax info. You need to know all of it when people change their details, this should be fine-tuned for onboarding

We effectively use EH as our online HR platform. In this aspect it is spot on with Policies, Compliance, Certifications, HR Docs, Contracts and Onboarding. Very happy to use an Australian company. The guidance templates for HR docs and policies are excellent. Pricing is incredibly efficient. Subscription outsourcing is the now for smart businesses. Payroll Xero integration through EH is much less impressive which is such a shame.

Minor features are missing. Xero payroll functionality is not good enough - actually that's a major issue. How can you not have YTD available on pay slips?? We've had to revert to Xero's My Payroll, so now staff have 2 platforms to manage. Then the smaller but equally frustrating items - You can enter the public holidays that apply to your location but these aren't reflected in the team leave calendar...

Great off the shelf product for managing a small to medium size business. There is enough customisation to add the features we need and all of the basic HR functions are available. The service is great (may need to wait for a reply but very helpful and friendly).

The Certification function is not yet perfect but I'm sure this will evolve with time. Employment Hero continue to develop and enhance the product.

Recruitment is so easy to use Very happy with the Recruitment Feature in Employment Hero. It makes hiring so much easier.Employee onboarding would have to be one of my favourite features along with tracking courses.

Email coming through at times outside the times we have individually dedicated.

It sounds great on paper, but it is far from it.

It is lengthy and difficult to set up, the customer service team takes an average of 3 days to get back to you with answers to any questions you might have, the rostering system is clunky, the app doesn't work for staff, managers can't update rosters via the app and need to log on to a desktop.

Reporting on so many aspects of HR - turnover rates, surveys, 1:1's and the way it easily interfaces with other payroll systems. The recruitment function is so easy and allows multiple people to be involved in each step of the process.

Everything we need in regards to HR is in the one place.

We can't alter some of the sections to suit our business needs - such as adding a field for job numbers when submitting an incident report.

I like it’s easy to use, the HeroShop (now My Benefits -> Discounts) is brilliant and adds a benefit for employees, issuing employee documents and on boarding them is very simple and saves us so much time otherwise spent on manual on boarding. Leave management, timesheet management very simple and straightforward. Reporting features is great too, to find out staff insights such as headcount numbers etc. Any queries I have or issues with the system the support team is very helpful too!

Occasionally when I email employment contracts to staff they have difficulty with finding this email in their junk mail / spam / inbox. Some are not able to find this at all. I usually have to then send the contract manually. There’s no way to resend the contract once it has sent, so perhaps a feature such as send a staff member a reminder email to sign their contract could be beneficial. Some staff...

Time-sheets and leave application from the app Today's events in the app Certifications to automatically control licences, tickets and qualification replacing onerous spreadsheets Content Management - ability to add templates and link these to the relevant team members HR Documents tab in the personnel file - so easy to issue and finalise contract, pay reviews etc. Reviews in EH replacing a manual paper system Good screen layout - easy to navigate

My only reservation in opting for EH was the lack of a Learning Management System (LMS). Now that GO1 is available this should meet our requirements.

Ease of use, great on boarding tool, cuts the contract time down considerably, Great task list features, good reporting functions as you can customize easily. Collates all the employee information meaning accounts aren't left to chase down these items from employees. The employees love the platform too as it has all their information for them in one place and they all love the Annual Leave function

I would like to be able to assign certain sections to other employees - for example it would be good if the accounts staff could view "Employee Bank Details" without having access to any other information I would also like to be able to amend and upload (or delete) our own contracts rather than having to go through the support team every time - Support are great if I am not in a rush as it normally take 24-48 Hours to turn around, but if I just need to alter something quickly it would be nice to add and remove myself

- Ability for users to self-select a range of settings, functions and notifications, as well as find all employment-related documentation in one place. - Ability to access, review or initiate contractual documents, incident reporting, team comms, goal-setting, policies, reviews and rewards. - Encourages interaction with employees through goal-setting, nominating others for awards, etc.

- initially, payroll took a long time to get going (I was told there were complications with syncing records but this is now sorted) - some elements of the user interface are less intuitive than expected of this generation of software, but relatively minor compared to its overall capability

It is easy to use and navigate around, for both staff and administrators. It has everything built into it that you would need in an HR software. From the easy on boarding, including the ability to advise staff of new starters requirements, to the inbuilt contracts, the easily editable contracts and forms you can add yourself to the performance reviews to the ability for the organisation to stay on top of certification requirements.

It would be nice to be able to hyperlink to other documents. such as the policy section, in a policy there may be reference to a form that needs filling in. Would be great if we could like those.

Has cut down on our paper trail. It's good having all the HR documents uploaded in one place that can be accessed by employees.

Little to no customer support. All correspondence must be by email which is slow and ineffective. EH changed to a 'pay-for-support' arrangement after our company had already signed up - so the appealing point of difference that made EH stand out is now gone. The platform is expensive and can only be paid for by direct debit - which would be okay if invoicing was accurate and correct. We are now looking at other platforms but it's a bit like deciding you want a different breed of puppy after you've house-trained the first one.

In the past 9 months, we've worked tirelessly to improve our response times and expanding our support resources. We've also introduced a brand new education tool that guides users through the platform, step by step, reducing the reliance on our support team. EH has allowed us to streamline our on boarding and payroll process while keeping us completely paperless. It has created so much ease for imputing employee information, managing leave requests and processing payroll. Staff love the app and the ease it provides in updating personal details and submitting leave.

The reporting functionality and the visualisation of the reports could be improved and possibly being able to customise the Security Groups in more detail.

As a small business operator, this software enables me to deliver a bonafide and professional HR function to my employees. It helps ensure I'm compliant with regulations and deliver employee services that are reliable and trustworthy. In addition to this, it saves me time.

There are some areas for improvement but I am not aware of a better product in the market and the developers are continually innovating the product.

Heaps of ease of life features that make normally time-consuming HR admin tasks really simple.

Sometimes support questions via the email can go unanswered and you have to pay extra to have a phone line.

We have found the implementation journey very difficult. Having to rely on email for every question and waiting up to a day for a reply makes the process agonizingly slow and expensive. I don't really have any con's of the software application within Employment Hero. Maybe the opportunity to have a Time in Lieu (TOIL) reporting system can be explored by the developers would assist us more in our operations functions.

The onboarding process, performance reviews and surveys

- Policies - the "mandatory " option; staff interpreted that if it is not mandatory, it does not apply to them and they have to knowledge it. Perhaps change to "signature or be able to remove that option."- Emergency contact should be mandatory but it is optional. - updates to the profile directly and not from the "import option" example; be able to change the job title on each profile individually. - it is not a full integration with XERO

The ease of accessibility from an employee perspective. The visual imagery of this program makes it easier to use also.

Leave balances don't update daily like most programs, instead you have to wait fortnightly. Also, when taking leave you must select individual days or consecutive only if they are the same type of leave. This makes mapping out long term leave (such as Parental leave) time consuming. E.g imagine you want to use 2 days of Annual leave, 2 days of Parental leave (paid or unpaid) and 1 day of Long Service Leave in an application? Also, extracting leave related data is not so straight forward as it looks.

Employment Hero is very easy to use, it allows for a clear leave management platform and also a policy document storage

The interface with Myob can sometimes be an issue, but the problem is more on the myob side.
