Mailchimp is fine if you truly need the bare bones to set up your emails. It does the job. You wont get any additional bells and whistles, support help, 3rd party integrations, etc without having to go through a maze to get there. The "out of the box" solution is very minimal. If you are a decent sized brand would recommend a more robust ESP.

Does the job, but that is all. 

I enjoy utilizing the Mailchimp platform for basic business email blasts. The incorporation of artificial intelligence and templates designed to match my website are an added bonus.

Overall, Mailchimp has been an excellent choice for my email marketing needs. It's a great option to start with, especially due to its free plan. If the cost becomes prohibitive as your email list grows, you can always export your contacts and switch to a different platform. Email is a powerful marketing tool, and Mailchimp provides everything you need to create visually appealing emails, automate drip campaigns, and capture leads with forms.

Overall, a definitely good-to-have tool if you do a lot of internal and external email campaigns. The learning curve is pretty narrow and can be operated by anyone.

I have been using Mailchimp for years to send my monthly email newsletters, recurring automatic article emails, and donation campaigns. Mailchimp makes it easy to segment my audience so I can send different campaigns to different people in my main audience.

Great for recurring emails!

As Mailchimp is usually used by companies, this is the first software I gained experience with as an in-house marketer. It's easy to set up and import subscribers. While the interface can be a bit confusing, it's not hard to figure out how to do things.

Full-featured email, landing pages, groups and automations 

One thing Mailchimp nails is email automation. I’ve set up automated welcome sequences, post-purchase emails, and even abandoned cart reminders, and they all work seamlessly. It saves me so much time and ensures I’m always engaging with my subscribers at the right moments. Plus, the targeting options are really powerful, you can send personalized emails based on user behavior, and it’s all pretty easy to set up. This feature alone makes Mailchimp worth it for me.

Great Templates Easy Automation

So far support has been fantastic. We do have a large data base with multiple users and we have had very few issues with the interface and seems relatively user friendly for people new to the platform.

We have leveraged the powerful analytical capabilities and testing tools to maintain marketing optimality constantly.

Overall it was a two-sided experience. We liked the application and features but were disappointed by the price and the restrictions. Mailchimp has a very good user experience at the application level but there is too much control on how we want to market our products. Unless they adjust we would not return using their product.

From analytics provided by the robust platform through to the mobile UI, we’ve leveraged the platform to build and implement compelling tactics.  For the advantage of simplicity, we used Mailchimp for the amount of features it offers and its scalability. Delivery rates here were good, and the platform had a good reputation for reliable delivery and also good customer support. In terms of the integrated marketing tools and automation capabilities, it all fit perfectly into what we required.

Powerful tool Yet Pricey for Growing Businesse.

I've used Mailchimp on and off for around 20 years. I'm starting a new business now, and although I'll shop around, I know I will be back to Mailchimp. I've never had any issues with emails going out, campaigns have been smooth. I can brand my emails and I'm trying to love analytics. The webforms are invaluable and there are always improvements and new features.

My final note - there are so many email marketers now. Go with one that's beeb around a long time, like Mailchimp
