Freedcamp is a joy to use, and it helps me keep my projects on track as well as my coworkers. I am surprised it is not as well known as some competitors like Trello.

Another thing I like that others don't seem to adopt is the task views, I personally like the Kanban view which allows you to mark tasks as: No Progress, In Progress, and Completed.

Can have all tasks show up on Google Calendar with a handy integration, and can choose what filters apply to calendars. Simply awesome to use, would absolutely recommend.

The fact there is a free version is fantastic. Relatively easy to use and still detailed.

Freedcamp customer service was very helpful and responsive when we were exploring setting up the account.

A great product and fits all budgets with basic functionality kept free. And the power users can purchase advanced functionality as paid plugins.

Ease of use: Freedcamp makes it easy to set up projects, tasks, milestones, etc. and then track progress of a project. The user interface is extremely intuitive.

The specialty features sometimes confuse me as to what the actual purpose is because they aren't all that intuitive.

Among its hooks was its attractive value per user and its kind free tier.

Since I only use time-tracking function it's very frustrating that every time I create a new project I have to manually disable all the ofter functions which I won't use.

I think I'd prefer a pop out modal type, rather than the fly out from the side method. Perhaps I can change change that behavior, I'll have to look into it.

It also many other 3rd party integrations and works seamlessly.

I had to really take time to learn how Freedcamp works and hey, aren't we all just impatient and don't we just want to start right away? With tools like these, it just doesn't work that way. That's just being straightforward. Freedcamp is a solution that has many features and functionalities so you have to take your time to get into it.

But once you get the hang of it, you're glad you went for Freedcamp. After I searched for and installed the app on my PC, I'm a happy (Freed)camper, because it makes it even more easy to work with because it opens each time I start up my PC and I don't have to have a browser tab open.

More flexible and overviewable than Trello or Asana

Overall Freedcamp is great tool for project management. 

Freedcamp is a great project management tool that allows teams to collaborate.

They are not at all interested in treating their customers like they value them so we shouldn't value them either. The product itself is no different from the many many pm tools out there. Poor customer service guarantees they won't be around long without bail outs.

I find it consolidates project tracking, communication & file management brilliantly - and in a very user friendly manner.

One unexpected benefit of Freedcamp is the improvement to the staff’s morale when I don’t have to do nearly as much micro-managing and instead they can see in writing exactly what is expected, the due date, communicate progress, etc. without a manager constantly asking. It also makes editing or correcting errors or mistakes more like collaboration than like corrections. 

If you want a project management software that works for you...

As I mentioned earlier I could not operate my business with confidence without Freedcamp.  It has become a integral part of my system and processes and I would recommend people give it a go.  You will just have to familiarize yourself with the way it operates and once you have mastered that, the world is your oyster!

A great balance of complexity and features but a bit of a learning curve

I had to really search for "Cons" with this software.  The free version is GENEROUS, and that's an understatement.  Besides that, the design itself is intuitive.  You can schedule a project in a general/high level format, or micromanage down to the last grain of sand.  There are so many ways to manage your data. The collaboration in it is great, the task management is great, the project and user-management is great.  The customer service even "undeleted" a project for me once.  I have nothing bad to say about the system at all.  We run a multi-freelancer design firm, and it handles everything we need with flawless efficiency.

The Best Software We've Found

I've been using lots of Project Management and Team Collaboration Apps such as Trello, Slack, Asana, Bitrix24 and more.

But when I started to use Freedcamp about a year ago, I learn that this app manages to provide the sweet balance between my learning curve in using the app effectively to go up and running, and all the necessary functionalities without putting my self too much in configuring all the features with it's bells and whistles.

Other than that, their support alone is a solid and consistent 5 star performance, very prompt and spot-on showing a high level customer and solution oriented team.

I had a few issues during the set-up but once support came in handy, the rest of the on-boarding process was really smooth.

In a way, it is a mature App, but later-on, I found out that their roadmap is growing continuously to the right direction, based on my team way of working, and also the current business needs dynamic.

More integrations are coming up as well, but for now, I'm satisfy with how the app being developed for the last 6 months or so.

The Right Balance Between Performance & Investment

In general it is the best application to handle tasks, work teams and projects if you are an entrepreneur. I stopped using it because I needed some features like custom statuses and custom labels. Unfortunately they added them when I had already moved to another application

Designing and Developing websites involves hundreds of tasks that must be completed for every site. The ability to create templates for this really cuts down on my workload. Clients are sometimes resistant to using it because they're not familiar with it but it's so much better than email chains. 

Freedcamp Keeps Me Organized and Helps Me Get Everything Done

Freedcamp allows Monash High Powered Rocketry to manage the development of multiple aerospace engineering projects at once, including hybrid rocket engines, and sounding rockets designed to launch to 30,000ft. As we operate at a university level, the management of these projects would be severly limited without the use of Freedcamp's excellent project management capabilities.

                                                       So before I was using Freedcamp, I was managing my business on Skype, WhatsApp and group chats and those, and it was hard to track everything, hard to keep everything, to manage everything based on that. So that's why Freedcamp really helped with this calendar system, with its tasks and its projects. Everything is organized and integrated and it's easier to manage now.
                                                       So one of our team members actually referred Freedcamp to us. They told us that they use that for their business, so they wanted to refer to us, tell us it would be a good software for our business because it was pretty similar industries. So we started using Freedcamp based on that and from there, it was pretty easy.
                                                       In the beginning, it took not too long to start using Freedcamp. We just started getting used to the tools and learning more about what we can use and what it offers. But once we got everything set up, then it was pretty easy to use, and it was a little bit hard getting our team members used to it. Freedcamp also offers a chat option where we could have our group chats for different categories in our business. So getting people onto that chat and messaging there and updating Freedcamp constantly was a little hard to at least manage them. But now we're working perfectly. Everyone's streamlined and everyone's working quickly and easily on Freedcamp.
                                                       Just about learning how you want to organize your software. If you're getting into Freedcamp, all your projects and tasks, you have to figure out beforehand what each project and task is going to be about and how you're going to set it up so that you don't have to change it later on in the future because it is just about how you want to structure and organize your business on Freedcamp. Other than that, it's fairly simple. It's very easy and easy to use and it's easy to understand. You understand it right away. Everything's easy, so it's not too hard. Plus, I would recommend it, obviously, 'cause it's free. There are paid programs, but if you can manage your whole business using the free program.
