We build a SaaS product and need some way of tracking and analyzing user behavior. Everyone talks about and recommends mixpanel, so we're trying to figure it out.
The new UI is really nice (visually), I love how graphs look like Mobile app is super snappy Integration is easy Automatic insights are actually useful
Building useful graphs can be challenging and sometimes counter-intuitive. Of course, I could watch all their education videos, but I simply don't have enough time. I think there's a lot that can be done in the "getting started quickly" category. Also, I somehow can not pin a flow-diagram to the dashboard or even save it

With the support of Mixpanel, we are now able to gain a more in-depth comprehension of clients' behavior and generate reports and dashboards that provide a more precise comprehension of data.
Mixpanel is a great tool for tracking and analyzing how users act, and it is built in a way that makes it easy to get to the tools we need. I appreciate the ease of setting up different paths for data as well as having dashboards and reports that show all the details. With Mixpanel's collaboration features, I can get my team involved in all operations. This lets us mine data from more sources to get the best results.
While I don't see this as a major issue, there are a few situations when we can't get to the necessary streams when setting up customized events.

When working Mixpanel is fantastic. It can help companies see their acquisition, activation, retention, revenue and referral. But I think the product is primarily for more mature companies that have used queries and excel sheets in the beginning to make their initial KPI's. Don't use this from the get go as a startup. But use once you know exactly what you want to track, and get somebody on your team to be the super user of Mixpanel (data scientist) and do the same on the development team.
Mixpanel can tell you a lot of things about your users. Especially the Signal feature is great – we've used it as a guideline instead of having a full time data scientist. You can also follow different cohorts of users and create funnels to see where these users fall of or not.
The dashboard function is not great. Besides that the system is pretty complex, so you really need to dive deep into the tutorials to understand how to use it.

Overall I am really satisfied with the software for my daily use. It really is a value for money and makes working really easy.
This software gives you the functionality to fetch data directly using SQL for the charts. The ability to calculate the ratios of metrics helps make the dashboard really informative. Apart from this, the user UI is really easy to use and also it loads the data in real time really fast.
There is not much to dislike in the software but yes some more features/charts option can be added to get the maximum from this.

My overall experience with Mixpanel was great always been a go-to tool when comes to analysis and research.
Mixanel's Insights & Funnel feature is really helpful to understand users' activity on the product. It helped me improvise the UX of the dashboard and helped me with my research part too.
The flow feature on the Mixpanel is something this I have used least and was a little useful. Mixpanel also doesn't fetches and creates events automatically, the developer has to create the event all the time.

Overall this product was easy to integrate and use, but ultimately did not provide the level of detail needed to run a successful data-driven business.
This product provides easy-to-integrate code and some very basic metrics for your digital products. It is easy to use for beginners in data & analytics.
There are many better visualizations and analytics metrics that could exist, but do not for the sake of simplicity. If you want to be more advanced in your ability to measure your data, look at other analytics platforms.

Mixpanel is being used by our company to generate daily client outreach and strategise our campaign. Helps us to generate alert in real time and organize weekly and monthly data more efficiently.
I like the interface and easy navigation of the platform. The quality of insightful analytics provided in time bound manner is also very helpful. Alert generation is just amazing .
They should focus a bit on faster loading of result of data search. Sometimes bugs comes when we try to add new alert generation parameter. Data classification and categories can be expanded for better utilization .

My product team is heavy user. Being in the Marketing team, I appreciate the reports we get from it, they really provide a deeper understanding of what our customers actually do with our product
It allows my product team to track the use and outcomes from each part of our platform. It's a must have for our product owners.
I can't really tell, as I'm not involved in the implementation, but my team says it could be made easier with a more intuitive set of features

Mixpanel As long as you can track the data accurately from reputable sources, you'll be able to see how and how much people trust your ad, all without having to learn too much about it or rely on any prior expertise. You can get from raw data to actionable insights in a matter of minutes with this tool, thanks to its quick search feature and all the options it offers. Mixpanel provides many options for sorting results based on various classifications, such as your product type, target groups, and behavioral patterns. Customers may see all of this on personalized panels, along with reports that are easy to interpret. Every tiny change can be shared with my coworkers, which extends the possibility for finding solutions and leveraging that information to establish precise timeframes.
The platform's master requires lengthy training before he or she can use it to its full potential. There are instances when there are errors in the data that have been gathered, or when you do not receive what you are looking for, and this may be due to the fact that the data has not been set up correctly by the user, which can be quite distracting.

Mixpanel will be ideal for you if you need a simple, yet powerful tool for your SaaS product. One of their features that I've found most useful (and I haven't really seen it in the competitors' apps) is Signal. Once you apply it to your events, it shows you which ones you should encourage your users to do, and predict behavioral trends within your product. A must-have for a modern product marketer!
I wish it would be easier to implement your own data to the user profiles and events there. You also can't collaborate within teams.

Mixpanel provides you best analytics. You can easily integrate it in your app, website, member area etc. It also offers email campaigns and push notification. You can easily create segmentation and target the audience easily. You can automate the campaigns and push notifications with the help of funnel.
Pricing is too high. Should support dynamic dashboard support for reporting.

A great user research tool for generating highly-targeted audiences and identifying user activity on-site. If properly set up on a high traffic site, it can separate valuable traffic from noise in less than 30 days.
Events get registered a bit late or not at all. This issue might be fixed now.

Unlike Google Analytics, Mixpanel tracks everything and can help you understand your customers better
I know a company that uses Mixpanel to track everything a customer does on their platform, including where they left off and also encountered an error. Mixpanel also shows you a customer's location. You can also send targetted customer messages with Mixpanel
You will need a software developer to implement Mixpanel on your app or website. It's not something you can set up easily.

Great advanced marketing software that allows you to send REALLY effective marketing messages if you know how to configure.
The marketing tool is INSANELY powerful you can configure marketing messages or campaigns based on almost any data you can pipe in. The support engineers are the nicest, best support engineers on the planet (they have incredible depth of knowledge and explain in crazy detail). We see our Mixpanel marketing communications perform 4-5x better on average than our general email marketing messages.
It's so sophisticated and advanced it can be difficult to know where or how to get started. If you're looking for a "simple" marketing platform, this is not for you.

After implementing Mixpanel we could, first of all, understand more easily the data collected by analytics, user flows, and funnel graphs. After that, we could understand our gaps (where users were getting lost, where they were dropping off, etc.) and use that information to make improvements to our own product.
It is very easy to visualize and read on the screen the data exhibit. And it has a great set of filters and options to display and configure your own insights and reports.
I can't see anything against it. it is the most complete tool for this function on the market right now.

I recommend Mixpanel to anyone who needs to do tracking of user behavior in web applications in order to measure against goals.
It's easy to use yet can become a very powerful tool to help understand metrics of web applications and behaviors of users.
Can be perceived as a simple tool at first due to its ease of use and clean UI and for more customized or complex tracking.

I liked the feature that you can track the duration of the interaction. For example you can track how long does the user watches the Tutorial video as we did in our app. Though I noticed sometimes it returns wrong value, so for now I would stick to own duration calculations but still send to Mixpanel to track it. The integration is pretty simple, dashboard is nice.
Duration tracking is a bit wrong sometimes on iOS. The panel sometimes has delays but I guess it's normal.

I liked that it was very intuitive to use. For example creating dashboards, product analysis (both web and mobile) and making funnels is very easy.
There has always been an issue where we have trouble attributing events to client IDs when we bring the Mixpanel data outside of Mixpanel (for example our data warehouse). We end up having events that are missing or that are not attributed back to our clients.

Easy to use with lots of rich features. I especially like the AutoTrack tool that allows me to get the analytics of a GUI without having to tag it first.
Very limited date range (2 weeks) for user flows. Dashboard feature isn't able to accommodate all of the reports that I have.

It's an awesome analytic tool for measuring web traffic and user interaction. Anyone can use it and thus, I will always recommend it.
MixPanels provides super-important metrics like active daily users, sign-ups, and conversions. It's detail-specific and provides accurate web and mobile analytic metrics. Campaign monitoring is also super effective. Additionally, It has an intrusive and easy-to-work-with user interface with good customer service. it's cheap & affordable and suitable for most beginners
I won't recommend Mixpanel for large businesses that receive massive monthly traffic or run large campaigns. It doesn't support data with high thresholds.

The overall performance of the mixpanel is good, they just need to simply the interface and prices needs to be decreased.
Mixpanels helps to analyze the customer's activities over time when they visit the web application , along with this it also helps to understand the customer's behavior. The Customer support is very quick and reliable.
Pricing is seen as its one of the major limitations. Beginner's are expected to face problems in understanding the interface of this software.
