25 reviewers had the following to say about QuickBooks Online's pricing:
Its a decent format, they keep trying to up the prices though so it can get pretty expensive, but otherwise its cheaper than paying someone else to do it all for you.
Pros
Its accessible and has the ability to compare charts from different quarters to see how the business has grown and where you could improve.
Cons
Its very complex, you'll need a book keeper or at least someone who knows everything about QB. Also, it wasn't very user friendly when I tried to submit a check, or keep track of our inventory.

Pros
good software espicially you are familiar with the offline software. it makes it easier to work your accounts.
Cons
the only problem is the pricing is a bit expensive when you can achieve the same goal with a cheaper offline version.

I use this for accounting in my small business. Sometimes, it can be a pain to use for certain tasks. For instance, you cannot log a retainer check to an attorney very easily. You have to count it as a debt and income. Also, while their customer support is polite, they are not always very helpful in resolving your issue. A lot of functions cost extra. Overall, it is a decent system to keep track of finances if you are a single-owner entity and just want to keep track of payments and invoices.
Pros
Cheap and effective.
Cons
A lot of other features cost extra, such as payroll.

QuickBooks does seem like one of the leaders in the quadrant, and has a big community. But it lacks some convenient "customer facing" features such as online payments.
Pros
It does have a wide variety of useful features, and auditors love it! It's got a big community, and you'll never be left alone. Features are also highly customizable for your needs. If money is not an issue, it's really a great choice!
Cons
No online payments for QuickBooks, one of the leaders in the quadrant. This came to me as a surprise really. Also, the pricing on the website looked cheap with the cheapest plan. But you're out of luck if you wanna do recurring invoices. You need to pay the most expensive plan for that!

Pros
I love how easy and cheap it is. I used to work at a payroll company and this is by far the best bang for your buck to pay employees.
Cons
There isnt any HR or extra help. So this is the cheapest most baseline product.

Fun to use and many more features than some other programs out there.
Pros
Everything under one program allows you to use the program to create estimates and convert them to invoices and then apply it to banking information. Easy to use and allows for unlimited invoices & estimates with the basic base price option. Nice user interface and current. Payroll option available for optional fee or Plus Edition. Online functionality is nice, as you can access it anywhere.
Cons
Not a fan of monthly costing. Plus edition and all added features gets pretty pricey. Not as customizable as some programs out there for cheaper.

Our organization used to work with a few different affiliate organizations that were each using quickbooks desktop - and that made collaborative reporting difficult. But with quickbooks online it's a breeze.
Pros
It's so helpful that Quickbooks online is fully in the cloud.
Cons
I wish the features for visual reports and dashboards were stronger. I also wish the payroll pricing was cheaper.

Provides great reports and detailed spreadsheets to keep your business on track each day.
Pros
This software is decent for a small operation, or maybe one with just one accounting person, because the amount of computers or users will increase the cost.
Cons
Price may be expensive for a small business.

I absolutely love Quickbooks over any other financial software I have ever used.
Pros
I like that Quickbooks is the easiest and most accurate financial software I have even come across. I pay a small monthly fee to keep my account going. I have tried others and there is no match to Quickbooks.
Living on a fixed income, it seems cheaper to just pay the monthly fee...(I got the 70% off deal for Black Friday) and it is costing me less than $5 per month.
Cons
Price...I wish the installation software (CD) that I used to purchase was cheaper as I would re-purchase that. The disc was over $300 and expired whereas the subscription does not.

Cons
Instability in the sense that it can crash if exposed to viruses and other external applications; it also lacks compatibility with other external systems; it allows for limited number of users.

Spend the extra money for something else. I'm not against quickbooks just the online version.
Pros
Cheap costs
Cons
If you're switching from desktop to online don't even bother you will be completely disappointed. It's a hot mess.

I use more for invoicing than processing payment but its cheaper than paypal for processing credit cards and ACH is free. It is a great program for invoicing needs and probably book-keeping although have not played around with that enought yet.
Pros
It is a very good fairly priced program to keep track and process your payments with many options including ACH, major credit cards and a few others like Apple pay
Cons
Customer service is awful if you ever need to reach anyone there is no email and it takes about 45 minutes on the phone every time. I rarely need customer service for QuickBooks but for the one time a year i do i basically have to forgo it and look for help elsewhere

Pros
QuickBooks Online is a great alternative to the desktop app. It is easier to use and opens up access to mobile devices and platforms other than Windows. The mobile features and app integrations are standout features. Pricing is competitive.
Cons
Even though pricing is competitive, it is still not cheap. It is also a subscription service so you would need to maintain your subscription to continue to access your data.

Return prices to last years levels, and start dropping the price every year.
Pros
This is the easiest to use, most integrated small business accounting package I have used. The reports are clear, and gives a business owner exactly what they need to run a business. Great integration with bill.com, intuitive interface, and plenty of canned reports.
Cons
Nothing to not like. Except the recent price increase which is exactly the opposite of what online software is supposed to be costing these days. The cost should be going DOWN, not up. As happy as I am, I am now considering other software sources for each of my QB Online Plus Clients.

Pros
Very easy to use and to find employees with experience. Incredibly easy to setup. A great value for the price no doubt.
Cons
As a construction contractor there just isnt the functionality that specialty software provides commercial/ industrial contractors that need a very high level of costing, real time reporting, etc. Quickbooks is too generic for specific tasks I think. Other companies make add ons to try and bridge the gap but we were unable to find one we were confident in.

Overall I found QuickBooks to be easily and efficient to use and would definitely recommend for beginners and experienced tech savvy users alike.
Pros
What I liked most was the ability to assign vendor payments with 1099 categories, to easily see who what and when you've paid them and to prepare/file 1099's directly from QuickBooks.
Cons
The price, I would like to see more affordable pricing, especially for a small business starting out on a shoestring budget.

It struggles in a lot of areas if you are not a simple small business. We are a nonprofit that owns two subsidiaries, so QBO can be annoying to use in terms of features and functionality.

Cheap and easy to set up.
Cons
Lack of features and functionality for nonprofits.

QBO has made some major advances in recent years/months due to the pressure of other cloud-based accounting suites trying to steal Intuit's market share, and these advances have benefited us as end-users. Though the interface and forms-based entry is a little different than the desktop software, the functionality in QBO is realistically quite similar to the Desktop version. I have not found many limitations to QBO that require any kind of work-arounds, but at the same time, I have had some trouble with software bugs and down-time. I don't think I've experienced as much as others I have heard from, but I have run across a few issues. In comparison to the desktop software, the bugs I've encountered in QBO are almost inconsequential. When you have a bug in the desktop software, it is usually a corrupt file or the loss of information, which I have never encountered with QBO. There are a couple bells/whistles that are missing from this, like the ability to print signatures on checks, but I usually recommend against that for safety reasons anyway. On the bright side, I have seen QBO respond to feedback and implement the changes they have heard from customers, so I know that they are continually improving. At this point, I think QBO still stands out above other cloud-accounting software for its power and ability to handle many industries.
Pros
Power & Functionality in the cloud world.
Cons
Pricing can be expensive over the life of a subscription.
