Great task and project management tool

2018-05-16

Pros

I can know in real time the status of tasks and projects, as well as create, assign and comment on tasks easily, to know at all times what is being done and who is doing it

Cons

Unlike Microsoft project, it does not generate a Gantt chart for the project and the free version only allows up to 15 people.

Asana is a great product for project management in small teams!

2018-12-06

I really enjoy using it and believe it makes me more productive every day.

Pros

I love that there's a free version that is easy to use. I love that the product is usable without the premium features, but the premium features are well worth the money!

Cons

I don't like that the project planning timeline and the dependency management is not very sophisticated compared to a more robust software like Microsoft Project

Ok Tool

2018-07-20

Pros

It's easy to create tasks and projects. You can easily setup your peers account on the tool so they can access it as well.

Cons

I would like to see the percentage for each task and as for project as well, like the Microsoft Project has.

Asana - a post-it note project management tool

2018-12-26

Pros

Asana allows our team to create tasks along with sub-task items and track our work. We like that you can tag users in posts, and that the search capability works well. If you simply search it will scan all posts/messages for the text you need. It is also nice that it lets you start for Free.

Cons

I think there are a lot of features from TFS or Microsoft Project that could be incorporated into Asana.

Asana works as a tool to manage projects in a functional and easy to use way personally or corporate

2018-05-08

Pros

-Allows you to organize personal projects -Create goals in the short, medium and long term. -Share with other users. -Allows link with your google account. -Assign coordination of tasks, which allow effective monitoring of the work that must be done. -In the assignment of tasks you can assign sub tasks that complement the final product that should be delivered of a project. -It is a very intuitive tool, but it provides a guide support that helps to facilitate the handling of the tool. -You can attach links that direct you to documents that can help complement the description of the assigned task. -It allows interaction through chat to follow up or comments that help to complete tasks. - You can attach documents of different formats (office, pdf, drive, photos, etc.) - You can place a delivery time for each task. -Send alerts to your email for assigned tasks, reviews, comments and completed tasks. -Help plan your work life and personally.

Cons

-Not as popular as other planning and tracking tools, Microsoft Project style.

Good basic project management tool

2017-08-15

Organization of multiple projects at a high level and project level

Pros

Asana is easy to use and the layout is incredibly intuitive. I love that you can get a tast list of all your pending tasks across projects, OR dive into individual projects and get a "to do" list on a project level. It's super easy to create a project template, and copy it across projects to save time for similar projects.

Cons

As a Microsoft project user, I wish Asana had task dependencies and an easier way to view the full list of tasks, sub tasks, etc instead of diving into each task to have to see the sub tasks.

Best Project/Task Management Tool

2016-11-03

I've tried many different Project and Tasks management tools (from classic spreadsheets to Microsoft Project, To-Do list apps, Trello... just to name a couple) and Asana as by far the most robust, flexible and complete platform out there.

Pros

- Cloud collaboration - Third-party Integrations - Easy to learn - Flexible - Mobile App - Offers a free plan - Pro plans very affordable - Really nice UI

Cons

- Ir could be a little bit faster on the browser - It would be great if they'd offer a Desktop App for offline syncing.
