User opinions about Airtable price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 104 reviews that provide robust commentary on Airtable's price and value, 50% mention it in a positive light.

Some users report that Airtable offers a generous free plan, which is sufficient for many basic tasks and small projects. Reviewers appreciate the ability to test the software extensively before committing to a paid plan. They find the free version quite powerful, allowing for significant data storage and functionality. Users think the free plan is ideal for students, researchers, and small businesses. Some reviewers feel that the paid plans provide good value for money, especially with advanced features and increased storage. They say the software's intuitive interface and customization options justify the cost for more extensive use cases.

However, some users say that Airtable can become expensive, especially for businesses needing advanced features or multiple users. Reviewers indicate that the pricing structure can be confusing and that the cost can escalate quickly with added users and features. They find the limitations on the free plan, such as restricted records and storage, can necessitate an upgrade. Some users mention that the pricing is not always flexible, and they would prefer more affordable options or customizable plans. They also note that certain advanced features are only available in higher-tier plans, which may not be cost-effective for smaller teams or individual users.

To see what individual users think of Airtable's cost and value, check out the review excerpts below.

“The fact that I can use it for a simple to do list with some more advanced ability all the way to tracking inventory for thousands of items, building quotes, tracking where different drum kits are in the production process and what still needs to be done or ordered then creating a purchase order from that all within 1 table - for FREE - is absolutely amazing to me.”
ST

Steve T.

Owner

“Airtable provides a very generous free plan with unlimited bases under numerous workspaces that could completely cover the needs of students, researchers, or even small, new businesses.”
EI

Elena I.

Visiting Researcher

“The platform can be costly, especially for businesses requiring advanced features like automations and additional views, which are part of premium plans. While it offers a lot of customization, this can also introduce complexity, making it less intuitive for first-time users.”

Zapier logo

Integration rating: 4.7 (49)

By creating easy POCs for company processes. We run low-code POCs using AirTable+Zapier to validate new ideas, and then, we migrate them to more scalable tools once we show their potential.

This runs the automations for being able to get data in and out of Airtable to other large buckets.

With its integration capabilities, Airtable can function similarly to a CRM, with some limitations.

Zapier is a critical piece of the pie when it comes to automation and merging systems online.

We need zapier with airtable to build all our automations with the data and certain tags

Airtable is where I capture a tonne of data, and I need zapier to make those connections

Means I can use this to capture info from my website and send it to my CRM.

Zapier integration makes it so powerful! We can link with almost anything.

Updates automatically send to the assigned contact in Slack. You get real time updates on task assignments, changes, etc. It's incredibly useful to be able to check Slack and developing a plan of attack before diving into Airtable.

This was one of the most important integrations as it combined our communication hub with our project and data hub. Even setting up automation between the two platforms was a breeze

The need of the company I worked for, the airtable slack integration is actually creating more noise than benefit, but it's only one case, it can be beneficial on other cases

This makes logging things in Airtable much easier especially for team members that find the software itself to be too difficult to use.

Our community is on slack and thanks to Airtable we can easily track Slack data.

It allows us to know when there are changes made to the databases automatically.
