Microsoft could do it better

2016-08-22

Application is not s good, as a Wrike or Trello one. Complicated, often breaks.

PPM - Outdated project management software.

2018-07-13

project management, organization, chart creation

Pros

PPM has a lot of advanced functionality, and likely works very well in a very integrated environment, or with an IT team that delivers all orders and project status's in a central repository.

Cons

Compared to something like Trello, which is very visual and can do things such as GANT charts AND store files, PPM seems drab and outdated.

I'm not a project manager...

2018-12-05

Maybe if I was a PM, I'd love it, but for me Trello meets most of my needs (though it is not on the Microsoft PPM level) and is 100% cheaper.

Pros

They offer a free trial, I think it's 30 days and I definitely took advantage of that. I love all of the ways to get into the deep details of managing your project, from: resources to start and deadline dates, etc.

Cons

It uses termonoligy that is not known to the simple manager and more importantly, the cost, is ridiculosu for one person who just wants to do a better job at work.

A Manager With Many Projects

2018-12-04

With a Gant addon, I can have an product close to that of Microsoft Project Manager, which costs about $200, for free.

Pros

-easy to use -flexible -mostly free -customizable (colors) -website and apps -add ons

Cons

This is not really a con, but I cannot afford to pay for this service. Therefore, I am having to put all of my charts in one folder so I can use some of the addons that are free. It makes me feel unorganized, but that's not Trello's fault.
