What is My Clients Plus?

My Clients Plus is a cloud-based practice management and electronic health record (EHR) solution designed for mental health providers and practices. The platform includes tools for managing client records, appointments, electronic billing, teletherapy, and more.

Key benefits of using My Clients Plus

  • Uploaded files, electronic intake forms, and insurance cards can be attached directly to client records, and digitized health records enable the direct addition of comments and notes.

  • Client billing can be managed online, with support for electronic billing of primary and secondary insurances, out-of-network client billing, automatic electronic remittance advice (ERA), electronic claim status tracking, and credit card payment processing.

  • More than 200 therapy note templates are built-in, including DAP and SOAP formats, with users able to customize note names and headings, and electronically sign and lock notes when completed.

    Pros
    The support they give feels like a small town business that knows you by name and actually cares about your success, not a big company that doesn't care beyond what you can give them.
    We have used MCP for ten years and have been very happy with the program. MCP is very user friendly and has fantastic customer support, always available for any and all questions.
    Nothing is too great or too small to deal with. The company has available, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful employees who go above and beyond any other software vendor I've ever worked with.
    Cons
    Occasionally, I will enter the pay now in error, or make an error between therapists. I am not always able to go back into the system and remove the transaction, after the fact.
    I had initially experienced frustration with the service, but due to my accidentally signing with another service, thinking it was this service.
    Nothing, maybe adapting to changes, but there are always options and lots of warning before any changes occur.

    My Clients Plus A+++

    Fantastic!

    Pros

    I have been using MCP for nine years. It was very easy to learn, efficient, simple to navigate and the support from the administrators is awesome. Located in the US, they will respond within hours of being contacted; pleasant, informative and easy to understand.

    Cons

    Inability to remove data shown on balances due. Occasionally, I will enter the pay now in error, or make an error between therapists. I am not always able to go back into the system and remove the transaction, after the fact. I have to disregard these items from the balances due report. I should be able to remove what I choose to remove. I would also like to be able to enter a new diagnosis code while billing. There are occasions when I am billing a new client and the therapist has chosen a diagnosis code that is not set up.. I have to go into dx set up, add the new code and then start the billing process all over again.

    Love my clients plus

    My Clients Plus has made my billing and accounting and business much easier to handle. I began my practice by doing this all by hand and I can’t imagine going back to that when my Clients Plus makes it so easy. I do not use the appointment calendar or some of the other features but I think they would be helpful to many people as well.

    Pros

    Very easy to bill clients to insurance companies within 20 seconds. Electronic billing gets payments faster and ERAs let me know when payments are made. Great reports features which gives me information on monthly/yearly statistics. Why pay someone to do your billing for you when you can do it so easily with my clients plus and probably much cheaper.

    Cons

    It does take some time to get each insurance company entered and working with ERAs but support is very good to help with setup and learning how to use it.

    So many headaches with My Clients Plus billing

    I keep using it because I am pretty much stuck with it. I would lose all the history that is in my account. I am able to bill regularly to one organization with no problems, but whenever there is a glitch, it has taken a long time to figure out the problems even with their support system.

    Pros

    It does keep track of who and when we bill. It is not too hard to use.

    Cons

    I would find out later that the program did not actually bill the claim. It went into some black hole. There was a lot of trouble with the switching of portals a while ago. Then I would call the support and get the run around. "Well I don't think it was our fault." After months of not getting paid for one client, finally I got to talk to a support person who finally figured out the problem. It was one small typo that made My Client's Plus not work properly. However, it was too late to bill by then, so I never got paid for many visits.

    Great Product: Best Customer Service of Any Product I Use

    Great experience. Very easy to use and maintain and their customer service is not only extremely helpful, they are very friendly. I am a psychologist and usually submit about 10 claims per day. It takes about a minute to submit these claims. Because of the ease with which I am able to submit claims, I even submit claims for the out-of-network patients that I have (which is the majority of my caseload) which makes life much easier for them and much more likely that they continue with treatment and recommend me to their friends (which obviously means that my business is able to be more profitable as a result).

    Pros

    Very user-friendly (after learning the software) and it takes so little time each day for me (1 minute) to submit all of my claims for the day.

    Cons

    Personally, I like the older "Classic" version of the software better than the newer version, but fortunately they offer you the choice to use either the "Classic" or new software when you login.

    This has made muy life much easier.

    Overall very good. Time I would have spent on billing and developing a secure means of keeping my notes is now dedicated to growing my business and care of my clients.

    Pros

    The platform is intuitive and easy to learn. My billing is much easier and quicker than by other means. My notes are entered onto a secure, encrypted server. The price is reasonable. Customer service is quick and helpful on occasions when I have had questions.

    Cons

    I'm still using the first version. The software doesn't work well with all operating systems. I have and old Mac, operating on 10.7 that does fine. My more current desk top, operating on 10.14 doesn't do many functions on this program. I'm a little worried for when my old laptop dies.
