Helps give a voice to our customers

Overall Trustpilot has been great to work with. Initially we were hesitant to utilize a service like this, but we agreed to a short trial and before it even ended we were able to realize the value we would be receiving. The customer service/support team has been great to work with. Implementation was quick and painless and we were up and going in no time.

Pros

Our experience with Trustpilot has been great. I like the auto-invitation feature that we have integrated with our shopping cart. This allows us to consistently reach out to our customers and ask to share their experiences with others. The platform gives us the ability to see what our customers are saying and respond to their praises or concerns. While there is no way to alter or remove reviews that...

Cons

We have not ran into anything with this platform that I would call a con to their system. Sometimes there can be some discrepancy on what is or is not a review that should be removed, but that is just part of it.

Easy to generate reviews from customers, great back end platform, excellent customer service

Tons of customer reviews daily!

Pros

The process in which Trust Pilot solicits reviews is excellent. We receive at least 5 reviews per day. The back end dash board is SO easy to use and navigate. Their customer service is amazing... She helped me create a login for myself and showed me around the back end over the phone. A few months later, she called to tell me about some of the functions that we weren't taking advantage of, which we implemented immediately. They also have a number of apps that help with integration for people who are less tech savvy.

Cons

The price is a bit steep, but it has been worth the money for us because it shows our customers that we are collecting reviews from a third party source.

Years of frustration, terrible investment

The last straw that finally pushed us to sign up with another review company (Verified-Reviews), was when a customer posted a horrible review about our company and insisted that we discount a product they wanted by 50% or they wouldn't remove the terrible review. Pros

Trustpilot had a better UI / design than other 3rd party review platforms, that eventually turned out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing mistake that our company should have recognized far sooner.

Cons

We find Trustpilot's renewal practices oppressive, with the exponential price demands, very unreasonable, and with terrible service on so many issues we experienced with their back end system. Then the amount of fake reviews being left by spammers was a daily annoyance that we had to manually flag; it became impossible to accept after we'd have multiple reviews left in a day from people leaving fake reviews on our acccount about a TV they bought, or a vacation package, it very quickly dissolved into nothing but a major headache for our team to monitor and Trustpilot's customer service was worthless.

- The 'Image Generator' integration only allows you to use a certain amount of text from a review to generate an image for social media, which ends up meaning some reviews do not make sense as it has cut a chunk of text off - Would be good to have more customisation when it comes to analytics - Customer support lacking, have contacted support a couple of times for account issues and communication is really low and information lacking when they do respond, I gave up with one issue because the response was terrible

Sounds like a total sales scam

I've so far had a very bad experience with the bait n' switch from their website. The salesperson was not willing to be flexible with the contract. At least 99% of SaaS companies offer a monthly plan vs a 12-month plan. This company only offers a 12-month plan and bills quarterly. Completely false advertising of their pricing and commitment.

Pros

It's nice to have another place where folks can review our company.

Cons

Beware of total sales scam! First off, we've received nothing but 5-star reviews, but somehow Trustpilot only displays a 4.1-star average. It's as if it's some kind of tactic to get us to reach out to them so they can sell us on a BS 12-month contract. Their website is a total bait n' switch, as it says nothing about being billed quartlery (only shows monthly price). They also bury their mention of a 12-month contract way at the bottom in the FAQ section.

Great platform, worst customer service. DO NOT sign a Contract

We are a business and we understand the value of good customer experience. I am not writing this out of frustration but cautioning other companies on their neglect towards their customers. I would have cancelled any such agreement in a heartbeat had I known my client didn't get any value and still paid for a year.

Pros

The platform itself is very valuable and is a good way for reputation management.

Cons

They locked us in a contract where they promised features we weren't eligible for. Paid for a year.At renewal date we tried to cancel and they said renewal was done 2 days ago and now we have to pay another full year because there was a clause in the fine print for auto renewal.Even though I expressed to them multiple times, we were locked in a contract first year and we didn't get any benefit from it, they still didn't care and stopped responding.Extremely pushy to close you on a sales call and no customer service after. Terrible, please do not sign anything with them.

Mixed feelings

Mostly positive. It's nice and easy to use. They seem relatively quick to investigate any fake reviews, which I imagine there are a lot of given the overall number of websites & companies using the service.

Pros

I like being able to easily integrate javascript widgets with our website that dynamically pulls through reviews as and when they arrive.

Cons

The cost of premium functionality for businesses. It seems high, considering it really only gives you access to a few reports, social sharing and a few other features such as requesting reviews from verified customers.

Pros

Verified reviews have helped us collect customer ONLY feedback. The TrustPilot review system from start to finish is simple from the back-end software to the front-end customers. After implementing TrustPilot and finding a method of messaging our customers, my client has seen a HUGE increase in feedback with ease. The things I like most include: - Star ratings that appear for SEO webpages and PPC ads - Intuitive software that allows for easy tracking of customer feedback & company responses - Ability to add TrustPilot review/star ratings to email signatures and webpages - All widgets are mobile-friendly (email and webpages) And so much more! It's definitely a program that any eCommerce or B2C company should consider adding to their internet marketing strategy.

Cons

TrustPilot is not cheap! There was an initial set-up time that required time by my client to figure out the personnel and strategy to collect the reviews but once that was done, it was go-time! The one thing I recommend to TrustPilot is to advise clients of all the functionalities and align simple goals so that smaller/medium size companies can plan accordingly, especially if the company does not have a clear sense in TrustPilot's SEO and PPC benefits.

Great when everything is on auto-pilot

Ease of use on dashboard and excellence in collecting and soliciting reviews in a customizable scripted fashion.

Pros

TrustPilot was extremely easy to open service with. They assisted us in implementing their platform, coached us on managing reviews, and delivered on their promises in terms of public platform reviews to earn google stars etc.

Cons

Unfortunately after setup their support has been less helpful. They remain relatively unavailable except via email contact and dont appear to engage with what we ACTUALLy do as a brand and how that affects review collection and content. We value an impartial place for reviews and love engaging with customers through the review dashboard but have found TrustPilot's sales, compliance, and support teams to be genuinely unhelpful when it comes to servicing our team beyond any scripted context.

Trustpilot is great if you want to collect and show your reviews.

We had tried two other review management software along with Trustpilot before implementing it. After testing it appeared to have the right cost to experience balance. Within a few weeks we were getting our reviews, finding out issues that customers were telling us about that they probably were not going to mention without prompting.

Pros

We used Trustpilot to monitor our customers after they received their orders. We set up an email to be sent a day after the expected delivery date to confirm the order was proper (printed cards) and asked for a review. We received about a 25% response some months. I think our average was about 10% overall. We would also set to post all current reviews that were 5star on the home page of the website and all 3+ stars on the testimonials page of the site. We could match the look and colors to match the site and even used custom stars to match. The online software was easy to use and integration was essentially copy and paste.

Cons

It wasn't easy to remove 1 star reviews. LOL. Actually there were not many things that I would say were issues with the software other than a non-tech person may get confused on how to set it up. However the documentation was good and support an email away.

Expensive, hard to integrate with website. Low rate of reviews received. Left after 2 years to discover there's much better review software out there.

Good systems for reviews

Overall a good system and worth having for a time to evaluate if it helps sales etc. Can cancel after 1 year and still keep a reviews page. However there is a high costs payable at 1 time for the year

This is a good system for gathering reviews and displaying them on your site/emails etc. Easy setup and implementation to our website. When not subscriber you still have a review page

Cons

while its a great system it is not cheap (Although not many review systems are). Still yet to now if they make a big difference to sale yet as this is hard to track. Support is not great as never get emails answered

There are stronger, more affordable, more flexible alternatives

Trustpilot are the dinosaur of the reviews industry; they're adapting to the better competition, finally, but mostly just by copying them. Still, I find they are un-needed for what they offer. There are competitors that are more affordable, have more features, have better customer service, have shorter contracts, have more integrations, more flexibility, so I really do not recommend them.

Pros

- Can collect reviews - Can reply to reviews - Can display reviews on website

Cons

- Unjustifiably expensive price - Pushy sales people - Ridiculous contract lengths, again with pushy sales people trying to lock you in - They censor reviews. They give in and let companies over-moderate and remove genuine reviews. *This is the big one for me, I simply do not trust them anymore.*

Good but not worth the money

Good software but way to expensive for what it is.

Pros

We use Trustpilot for our business review service. It works well and definitely does have an influence on people looking to buy from us. The integrations are slick and everything works as it should do.

Cons

The cost far out weighs the benefit and we probably won't be renewing when our contract ends. I feel you can get the same benefit with Google reviews and that's free. This is by far the biggest cost for software in the business.

I like the easy user interface for both our team and the end-user. The automated email for site review helps us maintain a good relationship of contact with the customer as well as address any issues they might have had.

Cons

the cost of this software is a bit high, in my opinion. Similar services offer the same features for 20-30% less than TrustPilot. I think that a bit more customization on the emails going out would be nice - allowing for some history of the items purchased, etc.

We are very happy with the product

Pros

It is easy to integrate into website. It allows are customers to see our score and we are able to see when a customer leaves us a review immediately. This is very helpful for our customer service team.

Cons

Confusing when trying to understand what makes up their scoring algorithm. We would like to know how and when we should expect our score to go up or down. It also seems that a low rating affects our score quite a bit more than a high 5 star rating. That seems unfair.

Pros

Trustpilot is a good platform for raising the brand reputation thanks to user reviews. It provides many useful tools like reporting and the possibility to include multiple modules to integrate Trustpilot in other environments.

Cons

Trustpilot pricing is quite expensive. Small brands cannot afford to pay for managing and checking more details from a marketing perspective.

Shows our customers that we care about quality and give great value.

The greatest benefit we get from Trustpilot is that our customers know that we are a five-star company that cares about quality and value. It shows that we stand behind our products and separates us from our competition.

Pros

Trustpilot works with our systems. We have a Magento 2.0 website and plugins to that system work great. I love that it is easy for our customers to review us and we have the opportunity to respond to their request and ask them for higher ratings. The system notifies us of new posts and we have a team that responds quickly to the customer to delight them and their needs. Great way to see if we are caring for our customers by offering a chance for them to rate us and respond to our service.

Cons

The Trustpilot software makes it difficult to hide any obvious sabotaging reviewers. These are reviewers that are being paid by competition to leave bad experiences. Even by our contacting these reviewers and giving them what they want they will not update their reviews.

Trustpilot gives me an indicator of my likely experience using a particular firm.

I found it tricky to use, because I have several email addresses, and trustpilot doesn't enable me to link them, thus downgrading my own reputation, which detracts from its value.

Pros

What I like most on trustpilot is it enables to make comparitive judgement on similar suppliers, by means of a dashboard style score.

Cons

As a consumer, there is little chance to modify or update reviews once they have been made, you can't add a reply, so if the supplier sends you a white widget by mistake, and you ordered a green widget, then supplier makes a false claim, saying we sent you a green widget, there is no continuance of thread.That example could allow occasional complaints to be glossed over, on the other hand, if the company responded and said we're sending a green widget today, and you then wished to edit, or reply and change overall opinion and rating you cannot, again as an end user.

Great features, slightly expensive for a small business

good experience, the SW did what it said, the support was there when needed however the price point needs addressing

Pros

how simple the system was to use, suitable for a small business and also corporate. the flows for sending past requests was a really well designed feature

Cons

I think the price for a small business could be better

Best site for customer experience review

I use Trustpilot so much that I do not subscribe to a paid product unless I have checked it first on the platform. It has helped me save money and time. As a freelancer who has worked with several businesses of varying sizes across the globe, I have had to do my due diligence before embarking on writing on or working on a product. Unless I am sure a product has proven to satisfy its users, there is a high chance I would not go for it. And this is not without the help of Trustpilot.

Pros

One thing I like the most about Trustpilot is that it is the go-to platform for social proof. For instance, anytime I need accurate information about a particular product I often head over to the website. And each time I find it extremely easy to use and the reviews there are original and a true reflection of value of the reviewed products. Besides its ease of use and nice interface, it is free.

Cons

As much as I really like using Trustpilot and I've actually been using it for years, I think it gives room for negative reviews that could have been prompted out of contempt for the business or the business owner rather than through the use of the products. In other words, the platform should be refocused in a way that competitions would not see it as a means to attack each other. Though it is good that the platform is democratized but at least a little bit of control should be maintained as well.

Amazing Customer Service

Our customer service rep always does her best to help us when we have an issue and checks in to make sure things are running smoothly! I never feel like they have forgotten about us!

Pros

I like this software because its easy to use. I can go in and edit the message being sent, the frequency in which it is sent and respond to those who leave a review. They are also constantly adding new features to make it easier to use and have a broader purpose.

Cons

Currently, our retail site does not do a large quantity of orders, therefore, the price for the software is a bit much for what we do.

Very easy setup and implementation, and the reviews definitely drive customers to us.

Trust - our customers read and trust the reviews that we receive.

Pros

The simplicity of setup and use make it hassle free. I also like the clean look and choice of customizations for the website reviews.

Cons

I realize this is a tough one to resolve, but it is difficult to quantify the value / conversions that come from TP reviews.
