User opinions about ClickUp price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 150 reviews that provide robust commentary on ClickUp's price and value, 72% mention it in a positive light.

Most reviewers indicate that ClickUp offers great value for money, especially highlighting its comprehensive free version. They appreciate that the free plan includes many essential features such as task dependencies, file attachments, and email notifications, which are often restricted in other software. Users find the ability to create unlimited tasks and invite unlimited members in the free version particularly beneficial. They also value the option to try out premium features through free trials for the unlimited and business plans.

Some users report that ClickUp's paid plans are competitively priced and provide extensive functionalities that help streamline project management and replace multiple other tools, leading to cost savings. Reviewers appreciate the customization options and integrations available, which enhance the platform's utility without incurring significant additional costs.

However, some users feel that the free plan has limitations, such as restricted custom tags and a limited number of tasks, which may not suffice for all needs. They also mention that some crucial features are locked behind higher-tier plans, making it necessary to upgrade, which can be costly. A few users express frustration with the pricing structure, finding it confusing and feeling pressured by upselling tactics. Additionally, some reviewers note that the paid plans can be expensive compared to alternatives, particularly for larger teams.

Integrations rated by users

We looked at 4,548 user reviews to identify which products are mentioned as ClickUp integrations and how users feel about them.

Slack logo
Slack

Integration rating: 4.6 (73)

The integration with Slack is important because it allows users to easily communicate and collaborate with each other. ClickUp users can use the Slack integration to create, view, and comment on tasks, which makes it easier to keep everyone on the same page. The integration also allows users to get notifications about new tasks and updates, so they can stay up-to-date on what's happening.

So we could assign + manage tasks that started popping up in Slack. Some owners that I work with aren't the best at using ClickUp, they just talk in Slack. So to easily convert it to a task to ensure nothing fell through the cracks was important.

I use Slack almost more than I use email, so it's nice to get notification through a custom Slack channel so I don't miss anything. Also, it allows me to receive less email notifications.

Being able to create tasks from team conversations in Slack was incredibly helpful, although it seemed like it lacked some of the same features as making at ask right inside of ClickUp.

We use Slack for internal communication, using the integration we can update each other on project statuses without having to enter the clickup database.

Integration of Teamwork with Slack is great and collaboration possibilities that can save you time and make your team more productive.

It helps to track changes in task status, it notifies every time when anyone changes the task status or adds a comment to a task.

most of our day to day internal business is conducted over slack, so we won't use any product that doesn't integrate.

It helps to keep our project list organized and help to fulfill the project on time when alerted

I use the slack integration to tag people in Slack and attach the ClickUp task directly

We use slack as our communication tool so Clickup and Slack go hand in hand together.

We would like to merge some comments in slack, but we understand the limitations.

Two-way synchronisation works quite well. It allows me to see my upcoming due dates through my calendar app on my phone and watch, without having to open the slow ClickUp app. :) Wish there were more options to only include certain tasks in the synchronisation progress, though.

The integration did not work well for me. It basically created a new calendar, so it did not serve me. I wanted to integrate the tasks (and timeslots) from ClickUp with the calendars I already owned in my Google Calendar. So, I quit the integration very rapidly.

The Google Calendar integration often gave us trouble and didn't seem like it reliably formed a two-way connection, so completed items wouldn't be removed from Google Calendar and you couldn't rely on the data in ClickUp imported from Google.

This is perhaps one of the most important, especially with the AI meeting tool I need to integrate my calendar for it to sync with my calls and schedule seamlessly. It nails it.

The reminder of the deadlines of the tasks in the personal calendar of each team member, helps everyone keep track of what it is important and needsimmediate attention.

It is great that on my google calendar that I use for everything al my tasks show up without me needing to look at a separate calendar app.

It helps me keep tab and track all my scheduled meetings, engagements and tasks, especially those that I create while on the move.

It's important to set alarms and monthly deadlines, to know when you added a deadline or when you need to finish an old one.

Works pretty good. Still looking for some of the automation settings to be updated so it will work a little more smoothly

If you use the scheduling and time estimation elements, it helps you learn how to not overwhelm your day.

Ran into some issues of duplicate entries and had to remove them manually as per support advice

Because I used Google calendar daily and I don't even need to import anything.

We can pull our files from Google Drive natively which ensures the file is up to date and makes versioning more streamlined.

Google Drive is our collaboration suite, so we need to be able to share and upload files for our team to review and edit.

Because all of our documents are on Drive and instead of having to email them, they are readily and easily accessible.

The team needs to have access to the right files instantly. Therefore, A stable connection with the cloud is important.

This allows us to store large files related to projects where any team member can access them.

Helps us keep track of all docs without having to keep multiple copies in separate systems

I need to organize all aspects of my business and having my drive organized is critical.

This is a very convenient integration, but low priority. It's basic, but it works well.

Sharing files through Drive make things easier for the communication with customers.

GitHub logo
GitHub

Integration rating: 4.7 (37)

This allows our dev-team to spend more time in GitHub without having to double back into clickup to status or note things; branches and commits get surfaced in their related tickets automatically making it easy for non-Dev types to stay in context.

The projects that i've been part of, were software development project, and every user story was associated to a specfic branch on our repository, so this integration was very useful to track features being developed.

It does the job well. I wish the integration was more fleshed out but I don't think it distracts from it's main goal of associating branches/PRs with different cards.

The integration works well but it is a little clunky. The generated IDs and branch names are too large and make it harder to talk about it.

We were tracking bugs and using the integration made sure the tasks closed whenever a pull request was closed.

An important plugin we use as a team is GitHub, which is available in ClickUp, making us a very fast team.

This integration used to be okay, then it got great, but now it's awful and oftentimes doesn't work. You cannot rely on it and ClickUp does not fix the issue.

This is critical to connect other tools that don't have direct integrations into ClickUp to keep everything running smoothly.

We provide some updates to clients automatically in Gmail via Zapier - which is a nice way to save some time

This automatically gets my new projects started as soon as a client signs up, resulting in zero delay.

The integration with Gmail is important because it allows users to send and receive emails directly from ClickUp. This makes it easy to keep track of all communication related to tasks and projects. Users can also create and edit tasks directly from Gmail, which saves time.

Didn't need this feature too much yet. ClickUp's email wasn't finished or handy yet in the app, and although I had the API, I didn't have that much of a need for it.
