A learning platform designed for every team, division, and company, Litmos LMS provides a straightforward way for its users to create online courses. The web-based solution is frequently used by trainers to deliver in-house training courses and sell courses to students online. Global brands that use Litmos LMS include YouTube, Samsung, Xero, ExactTarget, and Zumba.
As a hosted training system, Litmos LMS can be setup in-house without any assistance from a developer or IT department. Instead, teachers and trainers are able to build courses, assign them to learners, and track the results through an intuitive user interface. White label solutions are available for organizations that are interested in custom branding, templates, and reporting.
Key features of Litmos LMS include an advanced course builder, assessments and quizzes, surveys, instructional led training (ILT), gamification, and an e-commerce module that helps trainers monetize their courses using pre-packaged features. Checklists, course libraries, reports, and certifications are also available.
A user-friendly learning management system that’s been designed to help organizations save time and money, Litmos LMS is used worldwide by businesses of all sizes. The platform fuels education programs and supports professional teams during periods of growth.
At its core, Litmos LMS is a cloud-based learning management solution that training administrators can rely on to build, manage, and deploy professional looking online courses. These courses can be designed to include a mix of multimedia files, including Flash, audio, and video. They may also include PowerPoint presentations and content created in any SCORM-compliant authoring tool. Litmos LMS’s built-in Assessment & Survey editor measures knowledge and surveys learners to provide administrators with feedback on their courses, as well.
Using the Litmos LMS course builder, training administrators can build their own online courses. Embedded content creation tools support multiple formats. Litmos LMS’s course builder is designed in the same way people think, with three main category types: upload, create, and browse.
Upload your own content from outside Litmos, including any videos, SCORM, or audio files you plan to include in your course. In the Create section, you’ll be able to generate Litmos formatted content, including assessments, ILT, and surveys. Finally, use the Browse section to find and copy content from your account into new courses.
Giving learners a course library provides them with a way to browse, search, and self-enroll in online courses. Learners who click on the course library will be able to see all the courses they have access to, including courses they have already completed. Learners should also be able to sign-up for additional online courses from within the course library.
As the training administrator, you have the option to add new courses to your library at any time. You can add any course to the course library by clicking on the “Settings” tab in the “Courses” area of your account. Common examples of courses added to company libraries include product demos, optional professional development courses, and advanced information on topics that are covered in mandatory online courses.
Reporting tools allow training administrators to review the performance of their learners and gain deeper insights into how their training programs are impacting employee development efforts. In addition to traditional reports, users also have the ability to create custom reports and have them delivered via email.
Visit the Reports tab to get access to real-time results and stay on top of the progress of individual trainees. All reporting information can be exported as PDF or CSV files. Reports should also include date ranges, which means you can select specific periods of time to pull data from when generating your reports.
Gamification features within Litmos LMS help training administrators engage and motivate their learners. In doing this, administrators must rely on achievements, points, and badges, which are awarded based on a learner’s activity within the system.
To take advantage of gamification, you’ll need to enable the feature and create badges or points for your organization. Determine what your learners will need to accomplish in order to earn each badge, and Litmos LMS will handle the implementation. Learners will continue taking courses as usual, and Litmos will distribute points and badges automatically. Learners can see the badges they’ve earned by clicking on the “Achievements” tab.
Litmos LMS integrates with a number of third-party applications, including Shopify, TribeHR, Dropbox, Okta Identity Management, Box, and Salesforce App Cloud.
Subscription pricing for Litmos LMS starts start at $299/month for 100 users and has a cost of $699/month for 500 users. A free trial is available for new users, with no credit card required. Volume pricing and discounts for non-profit organizations are available, as well.

I've been working with technology for 35 plus years and I've certainly seen my share of great products, as well as those which fall short of what they promise. I'm happy to report that the LITMOS Learning Management System exceeds expectations in every dimension: 1) It is affordable 2) It is truly intuitive and easy to use 3) Their LITMOS Technical Support Team is outstanding. In addition, we are using ISpring (for SCORM Conversion of our materials) and the two systems integrate seamlessly.
Pros: Affordable, easy to use, outstanding technical support
Cons: Nothing to report at this time.

I am part of a training team of two for a manufacturing company in the cabinet industry that operates nationwide and some overseas. We use Litmos to train our sales team (both inside & outside) as well us our customer service team and product managers. Eventually Litmos will be opened up to our manufacturing plant, warehosue employees and accounting team so that the whole company has easy access to training. Litmos is so easy to use and very intuitive. My learners can easily access what they need and from an admin standpoint uploading is a breeze! I rarely need tech support when using Litmos (maybe twice a year), but when I do it can be difficult to have someone easily help me. Instead of one point of contact where I can just pick up the phone and get an answer I am always directed to their technical support which is email only and not timely in their responses. But like I said - I rarely need tech support! I would definitely recommend Litmos to anyone looking for an LMS!
Pros: Easy to navigate for users/learners.... Admin side has great access to reports and tracking and it is super easy to upload content! Rarely do I need tech support. There has really only been one technical issues in the year+ that we have been using Litmos.
Cons: The technical support can be slow to respond to needs. I don't like how tech support is only through email because I work better talking out the problem on the phone.

I have been thankful to adopt the Litmos LMS with my job last year for many reasons. It is a user friendly platform and our ways of utilizing it are expanding. It's been great growing alongside Litmos. As new features develop, our company needs and ideas coincide almost perfectly. After attending the Litmos C3 Conference last year and learning a ton, I'm excited to see what's in store for this year and unveiling even more ways to utilize the program. My goal is to continue to see more use within our company for internal training purposes with multi-level users. Litmos is making that goal attainable as it expands, listens to feedback from existing customers, and supports users to see the potential in the platform!
Pros: Ability to upload documents, easy to read dashboard, mass management as well as personalized feedback options, account maintenance is easy especially password resets. Leaderboard offers friendly competition and incentive for users. Behind the scenes, it's easy to see where a user is experiencing difficulty or having trouble.
Cons: Integration to SF cannot copy emails or uploaded documents. Sometimes too many emails are sent to users overwhelming them when completing courses. Some customer service reps and account managers are excellent, others do not follow through. Litmos Author information is misleading in terms of what features are possible through the program. Inconsistent limitations on uploading videos, etc., as well as sometimes "glitchy" processing of not saving users' answers, not opening presentations, etc.

I reviewed 15 LMS systems for Cubex prior to making our final decision. Litmos checked off every box and seamlessly integrated with Salesforce. Their customer support is OUTSTANDING and their development team is constantly putting out new features and functions that make the system more and more valuable to us.
Shawn Evans, Speaker / sales trainer and consultant to the retail automotive industry.
Good system as far as setting up, creating tests, and audio and video quality. I have about 600 learners on their platform. We are growing far beyond that and I am seriously considering dropping them and going with another company. Their customer support has always been difficult and at times down right arrogant. My last 2 requests via email have not been answered. The reporting function is cumbersome and flawed.
Pros: Easy to learn. Simple interface.
Cons: terrible customer service. A bit pricey.
Andrew Koch - Field Director, Informa Research Services
I love the user interface--both backend and trainee. Its simple intuitive and easy to use. Clean and crisp without a lot of clutter.
Fantastic support. Nicole has always been there when I needed her. Seems that commitment to service is being adopted by the whole staff. You just don't see that anywhere else.
