Few Advantages that Mule has over other products are :- Mule has a large collection of different connectors to connect and integrate diverse systems. It is said like it can almost connect anything. Mule is very lightweight and easy to use compared to other esb. Since it is mostly Java based, so, it becomes very easy to use and build custom components. Most important is that, Mule is a pure esb,...

Pros

Data Mapping is the feature i like most in this software, there are many feature which are as follow are the best for my project. Debugging suppor,APIkit RAML Support

Cons

RAML Support, we can import RAML files for your APIs that are managed in the Anypoint Platform by the API Manager and keep them in sync with the platform. While working with a RAML file, you can also view an embedded interactive API Console that's automatically built from the resources and methods described in your RAML.Handle complex data mappings and transformations through the Transform Message component, that leverages the powerful DataWeave language. This component allows you to create your transformations both through a simple drag and drop visual interface or by coding in DataWeave to unleash all of the language's potential.

Ease of use and number of features. There is also a huge number of connectors to leverage for many industries.

Cons

Cost is pretty high for the full version. However, it is worth the price and I still recommend purchasing.

Low Code Hits the ESB

Reviewed 7 years ago

Mule is by far the easiest ESB I have been exposed to. I have reviewed several others and all of them are very code oriented requiring a rather steep learning curve just to deploying your first project. With Mule and the drag-n-drop Anypoint Studio deploying your first project is very simple. Performing transformations also is very simply with the DataWeave component. This component is very flexible. Its use can be as simple as dragging one field from the input to the desired location in the output. Or it can be complex allowing you to develop functions to retrieve other data, manipulate the provided data or create new data. All in all AnyPlatform is a excellent ESB.

Pros

Easy to learn Highly flexible Focused on not only improving technology but being a disruptor in the technology field

Cons

Is rather expensive Could use better database integration tools The IDE tends to be sluggish

Anypoint Is A Good Way To Go

Reviewed 5 years ago

As I was implementing for a client, time to implement and getting a system up and running w/o issues and cost were major issues. This product succeeded, and the client is quite pleased.

Pros

The ability to load and install for free with some support. The advanced integration and API approach for combining services and other products makes the product extremely useful and quick to test and implement without any financial commitment.

Cons

LIke any other free open-software package, when it works, it's fantastic. When it doesn't, or when you are trying to do something that doesn't seem like a common usage, it can seem like you're on your own. It can take a while, solutions can be found, but it can take some time.

Swiss Army Knife for Interconnectivity

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

This will connect anything to anything it seems. They are are so many built in data connectors and ways to move data the possibilities seem endless. and if you run into something that does not exist it is not too hard to create your own connector using a variety of technologies. We have been able to connect some of our medieval legacy systems to the modern cloud components facilitating a modernization of workflows without a total scratch and expensive rebuild of the incumbent systems. The tools are spot on and easy to work with and they have excellent training available for those that will be using the system.

Cons

It has so many options available that it can be overwhelming to the beginner. Once you get the hang of it though this is easily put into check.

One of the best API management platform I've ever explored

Reviewed 7 years ago

I recently started working on AnyPoint platform. It's one of the best API management and application integration platform I have explored till date. I am going to write their basic platform certification test which will add value to my profile. All those who want to explore something new should start working on AnyPoint. There are a bunch of tutorials available on the Internet as well as their documentation is pretty good.

Pros

Ease of use and flexibility

Cons

For a hardcore programmer, there is no chance to write the code. Most of the components/connectors are readily available and you just need to drag and drop the connectors and configure them.

Using the same tool, export the public key, selecting binary as the output format....

Awesome integration solution for the new enterprise

Reviewed 8 years ago

Anypoint platform is totally a game changer in the integration space, it is able to disrupt the entire enterprise ecosystem, decreasing the time of software integration delivery from months to weeks, with a better value for money. The suite is awesome, it has a niche GUI that ease up development of solution, it has the common protocols and transformation processes in its palette to speed up integration. It has the datamapper(Dataweave) that is able to "smell" the transformation that we require, decreasing the time for development in creating some POJO's just to have our desired outcome. Although, one of the downside for the developers is that you are sometimes walking away from coding, which is a major setback for a developer.

We tried this first when we were in app development. We figured out most of the features right off. We definitely needed something that was drag and drop.

Cons

In the end, we decided it wasn't cost effective for us to develop our own app and we had to outsource it. No complaints, just too time consuming for us.
