The easy all-in-one collaboration suite

Reviewed 2 years ago

Google Workspace is an affordable solution for our team to make sure we can focus on the job and have everything at our disposal without the need for an IT team to manage our infrastructure or account management.

Pros

Google Workspace was our go-to-choice when moving away from a Microsoft environment. It allows us, like no other of its competitors to: 1) collaborate with ease As we work together on documents all the time, it is really easy to have Google's suite of tools at our disposal with a generous amount of data. 2) setup & onboard new users without hassle Adding new users, even temporary account for students is really easy. Sharing previous docs, an onboarding map and the likes is done with almost no effort. 3) manage rights & permissions Managing users and adding them to subsidiaries or managing individual rights is straightforward.

Cons

At first, the 100% webbased solution, was not fully trusted for users when going offline. But Google has come a long way improving towards a solution that works perfectly on and offline. Chromebooks that enter the domain are treated automatically as 'managed' by the organisation, which limits some functionalities even when this is not intended. It is a minor downside however and actually makes sense to do it this way.

G Suite review

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall G suite is best for any organization and you have to compromise for some of the features such as collaboration tools, Comparing to Skype or Team their hangout isn't great so far. Overall I can proudly recommend this services to anyone with their own research (what they want?).

Pros

Well, A complete google package is suitable for any business. Premium google adds on packages are bonuses. Storage is a very excellent buy for literally anything. There is no need for any special training for employees. Anyone can easily use it. No hassle to train employees. Very organized and fully cloud-based. Gmail, drive, Voice are great development.

Cons

Apart from good features there are few things that people don't like about this product. This is entirely webbased and many of us don't like this. Very average/poor support system comparing to their competitors. Collaboration tools are not great as their competitors offer. Pricing should be even more better.

"Efficient and Comprehensive: A Review of Google Workspace"

Reviewed 2 months ago

Google Workspace provides a comprehensive and reliable suite of productivity and collaboration tools that help users work more efficiently and effectively. The seamless integration of apps like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar allows for streamlined workflows and improved communication among team members. The cloud-based nature of Google Workspace also provides flexibility and accessibility, enabling users to access their work from any device with an internet connection. Additionally, Google Workspace offers a range of advanced features and tools, such as real-time collaboration, machine learning capabilities, and security features, which enhance productivity and protect user data. Overall, Google Workspace is a powerful and valuable tool for individuals and organizations alike.

Pros

One of the key advantages of Google Workspace is its comprehensive suite of applications that cover a wide range of productivity and collaboration needs. It includes popular apps such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Meet, among others. These apps integrate seamlessly with each other, allowing users to work efficiently and collaboratively in one platform.Another advantage...

Cons

One possible downside of Google Workspace is the learning curve associated with adopting new tools and workflows. For users who are used to working with different software, the transition to Google Workspace may take some time and effort to get used to.Another potential issue is the pricing structure of Google Workspace, which may be a consideration for small businesses or individuals who may find the subscription costs to be high. Finally, some users may have concerns about the privacy and security of their data when using cloud-based services like Google Workspace. While Google has implemented strong security measures to protect user data, there is always a risk of data breaches or other security incidents, which may lead to the exposure of sensitive information.

G Suite - The New Standard for Education

Reviewed 5 years ago

Google is awesome. Google Sucks. Google changes things at random, because they think they know better than you. Google's project vision often excludes we the user. They have plans for one application, so you won't get a feature in another. They intend to replace something, so you can just do without while we work on it, to later discontinue it. But G-Suite works. It's awesome for email. It has a terrific...

Pros

G Suite, a powerful collection of Googles Utilities wrapped up in a business-centric manageable cloud (for in our case, Education). There is a large amount of customization available based upon users by OU, which can trickle down into Chromebook management, and more. Quick alias support for name changes. Extra Routing steps for email if you wish (route through your own filters, or a second route for internal archiving). Enable / Disable GSuite apps based upon OU. And configurations based upon such. Password Syncs with Active Directory (requires an install on a password management server). User Sync with Active Directry (requires another install on a directory server).

Cons

G Suite is excellent. But G Suite does suffer some flaws. The management interface is SLOW. I cannot underscore this enough. Antique "Active Directory Users and Computers" is like lightning compared to using the management interface. The mangaement inferface tends to forget your log-ins mid stream, it doesn't remember where you were, and your attempted setting change wasn't set. Don't forget. Some interfaces hide the save button (seemingly...). Other settings are saved on click (lack of consistency). New features are often bleeding edge, but also sometimes completely excluded because "it's not for business customers"? Restrict "Hangouts" for some users? No... you cannot, you have to use "Hangouts Chat" because that's the business client, but that doesn't integrate into email.

"Efficient Collaboration Made Easy: A Review of Google Workspace"

Reviewed 2 months ago

Overall, Google Workspace is a valuable and comprehensive suite of tools that can help businesses and individuals work more efficiently and effectively, whether they're collaborating remotely or in the office.

Pros

One of the most appealing aspects of Google Workspace is the way it streamlines collaboration and communication. Its cloud-based tools allow users to easily share documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files with team members, regardless of their location.

Cons

1. One of the potential drawbacks of Google Workspace is the subscription-based pricing model. 2. Google has implemented several security measures and regularly updates its security protocols, some time it feel uncomfortable storing sensitive information on a cloud-based platform.

Get More Done for Less with Google Workspace.

Reviewed 2 months ago

It is a suite that offers several features and tools for users to increase their efficiency in their work. It has all the necessary products which needed from productivity to documentation.

Pros

There are many advantages of having Google Workspace in your work. A few of them which I feel important are-1. With Google Workspace, you have access to a large amount of cloud storage.2. Google Workspace makes it easy to collaborate with others in real-time with its products like Docs, Sheets etc.3. It can be accessed from any device with an internet connection.4. It is user-friendly and easy to learn and also it is compatible with many other apps and services.5. It is optimized for use on mobile devices. Almost every product works fine on a mobile device. 6. It is secured and also not that much costly.

Cons

All the products are not so easy for beginners, and some products require tutorials. It is cloud-based, which means it requires a stable and fast internet connection to work efficiently. It does not offer all its features when used offline. Collaboration with people not using Google Products is a little difficult.

G Suite in the Classroom

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, I would highly recommend G Suite in a classroom or any compay really. The storage online is excellent, and best of all, if you create a file in G Suite, it does not count against your storage space. Although with school accounts Google gives everyone unlimited storage. I use G Suite every single day, and some days it can be frustrating, but most of the time it works extremely well.

Pros

As a teacher, I love using the Google Suite in my classroom. I have all of my work on there and I can easily create, edit, share, and display my work from any location. I can work on something on my classroom desktop, but then open the same file on my laptop when I am in a meeting. I can also access my work on my home computer and on my mobile devices as well. Creating SlideShows, Spreadsheets, Docs, etc is easy. Sharing those with others is easy too. As teachers, we love to share our work and collaborate together. G Suite makes it very user-friendly. Google does not charge us our our students to have an account, so I recommend this product over expensive software.

Cons

G Suite does lack some of the more advanced features that you would find on Microsoft or other products. It is a "watered-down" version of the traditional products out there. Although Google is working hard to fix them, I have found a lot of "bugs" in the system that can make it frustrating for me and my students to work. As a school district, if the student or teacher leaves the district (on graduation for example) then the student will lose all of their work unless they share their work with their personal gmail account.

Good Business Collaboration Platform

Reviewed 10 months ago

Good collaboration suite, we were able to get it online quickly. Most features we needed were available out of the box with minimal setup time. Since most of all users had used gmail before it took minimal training/hand holding to get things going.

Pros

Google has built a powerful and easy to use business collaboration platform. Almost everybody has used gmail at some point so it’s easy to get used up and running quickly. Platform handles most of our collaboration needs out of the box with minimal setup time.

Cons

Email and file management are its strong points. Real time chat and messaging feels like more of any afterthought. They’ve got a long way to go to catch up with teams or slack on that front.

Very good, stable, but expensive

Reviewed 3 years ago

We have used the company for several years, without major frustrations. As I said, some functions are missing, we need to think of it as part of the office, with everything you would try to manage on the intranet, it seems like something standing in the way between an intranet solution and a collaborative solution. Although I don't like this form of operation (maybe if it emulated another sharepoint...

Pros

The best thing about the G-suite is stability. You know that it will work, you know that it will have no bugs and that you will not lose files on the drive or gmail. And it's fast.

Cons

Some features take time to appear, perhaps it is the price to pay for stability, but in general there are improvements that you don't use, and basic improvements that never arrive. For example, on the drive you still can't use folders as easily as you do in your computer's file explorer, useful panels are missing information. Another problem that I consider serious is the lack of a part of the drive that is "online only" controlled by the administrator. As it is today, it features a temporary drive for common files, because if I put backup files, client spreadsheets and sensitive data, I always know that they are also accessible from my computer or cell phone, but I would not like these files to be "loose" around. If you lose your phone, good luck trying to delete files remotely.

Best option for a school or non-profit to share and collaborate in an office environment

Reviewed 3 years ago

Gsuite has a minimal cost for us, and it allows us to collaborate within our organization and with all of our customers as well.

Pros

Our organization wouldn't be the same without a tool like Gsuite. Most school districts use Gsuite because it is a free service. We can share and collaborate on just about any kind of document. 90% of our employees do most of their daily job within Gsuite. GSuite also connects to hundreds of 3rd party apps and it can be used as your centralized user database.

Cons

Enterprise security measures are not a top priority. Google is constantly improving this concern, but I believe Microsoft addresses these concerns better than Google.

Online Collaboration Solution

Reviewed 2 years ago

We have enjoyed using Google Workspace very much and look forward to continuing to use it for collaborating with our team.

Pros

We have made the greatest use out of the email feature. Being able to store documents online and share access to those documents, even collaborating simultaneously has been another huge feature. Having all of the documents and the history of documents synced across multiple devices has been invaluable.

Cons

Task management could use some improvement to bring it up to part to competing services. The ability to manage the permissions for all elements of the users in one location would also be beneficial. Right now you have to enter into certain programs to adjust the settings and sharing rights for individuals rather than being able to do it from the control panel.

Google G-Suite The small business no brainer

Reviewed 3 years ago

G-Suite has been awesome. We use Gmail and Calendar , Google Docs for all company documents, Google Sheets for our spreadsheet needs. We use Google Forms to collect data from check lists and to automate the collection of inspection report data. All of this is easily managed via the G-Suite Admin portal. As an admin I have very granular control over user access to drives and files. Recently we added a G-Suite App called Collavate to manage business workflows and manage document approval and control as we begin the process of getting ISO 9001:2015 Certified. No matter what you need Google it and 9 out of 10 times there is a solution in G-Suite.

Pros

For a very low cost Google G-Suite provides essential business tools and services. Essentially it completely replaces Microsoft Office and Outlook, provides data back up and sophisticated, centralized administrative functions via a simple to set up Admin portal and an easy to use cloud based ecosystem of applications. You can start out with just email accounts for your employees then as needed add...

Cons

If you are a power user of Microsoft Excel there are a few advanced features that either don't exist or work differently enough to require figuring a few things out in Google Sheets.

There isn't a lot not to love about G Suite

Reviewed 4 years ago

With Google being the giant that it is, I'm honestly not sure where to go if I do need support of any kind for G Suite. It's not like Google has a main switchboard that you can all in to and "press 1 for technical support." Perhaps they do and I don't know it. But thankfully, it's very very rare that I need support beyond what can be found online. I wouldn't hesitate to deploy G Suite with any of the companies I oversee.

Pros

When I came in to a new company, I inherited "Google Apps" as our platform. I had been accustomed to the Exchange Server world for email, Sharepoint for files, and was neck-deep in the Microsoft ecosystem in my past experience. When coming in to Google Apps (later rebranded as G Suite), I was a bit uneasy but the unfamiliarity was quickly overcome by the ease of use of Google's tools. One of the things I appreciate most about G Suite is that you never have to worry about the integrity of your data. You know your server's hard drive is never going to crash and bring you down for days at a time. You know you're not going to have to deal with lengthy outages because one upstream provider has gone down. Google is just reliable. It's rock solid, and it just works.

Cons

I think the #1 issue I don't like about G Suite is Gmail's "labels" paradigm. Yes, they offer IMAP, which allows you to mostly adhere to the "folders" model, but "labels" are not exactly the same and understanding the differences can be confusing at first. Also, I prefer to work through an email client rather than through web mail. There are a few programs out there that handle the "labels" implementation well, but many do not, so your choices for email clients become limited. Other than that, I really can't complain about the tools that G Suite offers, nor the price. It's affordable and reliable.

Best in the Business

Reviewed 5 months ago

Overall, Google Workspace is a highly recommended suite of productivity tools for businesses and organizations of all sizes, with its range of features, security and collaboration tools. However, it may not be the best option for small businesses or individual users due to cost, and lack of offline capabilities.

Pros

User-friendly interface: The interface is easy to navigate, making it simple for users to find and access the tools they need.Seamless integration: The integration between the various tools is seamless, allowing for efficient collaboration and communication within teams.Cloud-based: The cloud-based nature of the suite allows for easy access and collaboration on documents and projects from anywhere, as well as automatic backups and updates.Collaboration tools: Google Workspace provides a range of collaboration tools, such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides, which enable multiple users to work on a document simultaneously.Security: Google Workspace comes with a range of security features, including two-factor authentication, data encryption, and compliance with various security standards.

Cons

Price: While the cost of Google Workspace is reasonable, it can be expensive for small businesses or individual users.Limited offline capabilities: Some of the tools in Google Workspace require an internet connection to work, which can be an issue for users in areas with poor connectivity.Limited customization: Some users may find the customization options to be limited, particularly when it comes to the look and feel of the interface.Dependence on internet: As the tools are cloud based, it requires a good internet connection to work, if internet connection is slow or unstable then it can be frustrating to work.

Great suite of apps for creatives and any company looking to create documents collaboratively

Pros

gMail is a great lightweight e-mail app, that goes without saying. As a content writer, I also love the ability to share Docs, Sheets, and Slides with customers, and have the ability to work on them at the same time through the Chrome browser. I use Google Drive extensively, and the storage space they offer for my subscription price is great value. So much so that I don't even know how much I have,...

Cons

As a writer, I use Grammarly quite a bit. Unfortunately, G Suite and Grammarly aren't currently compatible. Apparently, that is in the Grammarly roadmap, but it's uncertain when it will be available. I can't really think of any other cons, other than Google Sites is a little clunky, but since I'm not really a web designer and I use WordPress, I don't really worry about it. It would be great to have the option to host a WordPress site instead of using the Google Sites "CMS" I suppose.

G Suite has managed our business systems for years and revolutionised how we work.

Reviewed 5 years ago

It centralised all of our business productivity needs. As a tool for small businesses it is immensely powerful and has the reliability to be your go to business tool. Switching from traditional networking may be jarring, but the collaborative benefits make it worthwhile. Getting the core productivity tools along with extras such as Google Meet for video chat and screen sharing, Google Chat for team based conversations and planning (think Slack), Calendar, Forms and a rich admin interface that let's you control and customise a great number of options for the service makes it huge value for money. You're also supported by knowledgeable Google staff if you need support with administering the system thanks to the included phone, chat and email support.

Pros

G Suite comes with a raft of tools. The basics are the office productivity software with Docs, Sheets, Slides and GMail. The office-esque document tools are more than just basic online editor. They are competent and functional tools that would accommodate 90% of your work. The main power of Google Docs is the collaborative tools. You can edit a document live with other members of your team and see...

Cons

As Google have expanded G Suite to include many more tools, some services seem to fall behind. The todo / tasks tool feels like it was put together decades ago and hasn't seen any improvements. Google Workspace

Reviewed a month ago

The most important tools suite for a small company !!

Reviewed 2 months ago

My overall experience is of course great because it was not, I would have asked my boss to switch with something else, but it never occurred to me to do so. I was already using Google OS for personal stuff because I love the brand and the UX-UI, but when I started to use for the work environment I was totally amazed by the powerful tools. Plus, with the new updates being done, it's just added more clarity and union where to go or use some of the tools !

Pros

Most impactful features:- Create emails for employees, it helps to identify them and allow them to access our apps or others apps without them using personal info. They can be protected and be in a safe digital environment with us.- Create/schedule meetings with Google Meets with business partners or colleagues with easiness.- The Calendar; it has everything to manage our time/project or deadlines...

Cons

I think sometimes it feels very massive and vast, so we are not fully aware of the potential and power of Google Workspace, so it feels a little daunting and exhaustive to check all the apps that are aware in Google Workspace.
