What is SignNow?

SignNow is a cloud-based electronic signature solution which allows businesses to capture legally-binding signatures across a range of documents through any device, with native mobile apps for iOS and Android. The platform supports both single and multi-party signing, and offers cloud storage integrations, authentication tools, customizable branding, shared templates, and more.

With SignNow, users can manage documents and templates, with the ability to import documents from Microsoft Word, create and share documents with team members, generate templates for commonly-used documents, merge existing documents, and view document previews. A variety of fillable field types can be added to convert documents into forms, including text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, date/time fields, and more. Advanced options allow users to designate required fields, pre-fill documents with text, add conditional fields and routing, utilize field validators to ensure information provided is valid, and add labels to provide instructions for recipients.

Before sending their documents off for signature, users can create custom signing invitations to be sent to recipients. SignNow enables the sending of bulk invites to multiple recipients, definition of set signing orders, and setting of expiration dates on document signing links. Users can request the attachment of supplementary information from signers, require hand-drawn signatures, set reminders for unsigned documents, and control whether they wish to receive completion notifications. Signers are able to decline to sign documents, and can change their minds later on, with an automatic reminder delivered after 24 hours.

When I started my business, I needed to find a digital signing solution for a low cost... so even though I had never heard of this program, I decided to give it a try instead of using one of the more well-known digital signing programs. My business is small, and I don't need digital signing on a daily basis. So, the lower price very much attracted me. And ultimately, I'm very glad I gave it a shot. It has definitely met my needs and is affordable. Also, there was one occasion when I needed to contact customer service because I changed my e-mail address, which caused a billing error. I sent an email to customer service, and the issue was resolved very promptly and easily.

Pros
The program is quite easy to use and navigate. And it appears my clients find it easy to use as well. I've never had any complaints or questions from them.

Cons
The only thing I have difficulty with is the editing tools box... it can be moved side to side so you can see your document, but not up and down. The bottom portion of the editing tool box gets cut off by my Windows task bar at the bottom of my screen, and since I can't move the box up, I can't access the tools in the lower portion.

digitizing the signing process. saving paper and time and adding convenience to our clients.

Pros
when it works as planned, it offers a lot of convenience to our business. every transaction in our industry requires about 20 pages of investor disclosures and signatures. SignNow allows clients to easily complete this process from their computer or mobile device. saves a lot of time, saves a lot of trees, and both our office and client get a PDF Copy when complete.

Cons
sometimes there appear to be technical glitches where it does not work as planned. usually we just have to wait till SignNow has update a fix and then works again as expected. but this is sometimes and inconvenience. if this is resulting from user error on our end, I would to know and be put in touch with a training person so we can address this.

Every contract I have my clients’ sign is done through SignNow.

Pros
So so simple to use and very professional looking. My clients feel confident when signing contracts through SignNow.

Cons
Creating text boxes for clients to input information could be more precise. Trying to get the text to line up with existing information can be tricky.

It allows us to create and send digital agreements

Pros
The customization of the agreement templates is very appealing. It allows us to create agreements that look just the way we want.

Cons
We can't get customer support to fix a glitch in the software. In the dialog box that pops up when our agreement is loaded, it's stuck on a person's name for all the agreements. I've tried to find a phone number or way to contact SignNow, but I can't see how to do it, at least not easily.

Benefits

Single or multiple signers can be added to and removed from documents, with the ability to set signing orders and create multi-step role-based signature workflows.

Fields can be added to documents to request attachments, with the ability to make attachments required or conditional, before sending out documents to be signed.

Signers can be required to draw their signature from scratch on documents they are sent, rather than using previously-saved signatures.

If a recipient declines to sign a document they have been sent, users are notified automatically. Recipients can provide the reason why they are declining, and can choose to sign later on if they change their mind, with an automated reminder after 24 hours.

A full audit trail is created for each document, allowing users to access the document history and legally enforce all of their signed documents.
