We came from manually coding our seasonal assets to a landing page for our dealers and distributors. It was a great experience for them but far too much time and effort to maintain. We Then migrated to an FTP solution that saved us a ton of time each season to upload assets but was an awful experience for our dealers. Upon researching DAM systems we came upon Bynder. We were drawn to them based on the branded experience and the ability to make it feel Ruffwear and not another generic file sharing platform. In the first 6 months the number of process improvements and ideas that have come about based on Bynder's abilities is amazing.
The amount of customization and branding combined with the features available are incredible. The on-boarding was organized and efficient. Post support, success manager is great to work with. The continuous improvements every month to the platform show the commitment to evolving the platform.
Due to the amount of features and customizations it can be a bit overwhelming unless you are in the system using it daily.

We are using Bynder as a digital assets manager to share images, campaign tools, and videos to our internal teams, dealers, distributors, and media associates. So far our outside visitors who use Bynder have found very few issues with the tool. However, others have found the interface daunting and difficult. We have had made huge concessions to our homepage to funnel visitors to our Bynder site forgoing many of the features.
I have grown to like Bynder's filter system and understand its power in finding assets quickly.
1. There are always issues with load time and responsiveness. 2. Setting up permission levels and functionality is a real chore. Maybe it is our needs, but the initial setup was not well-explained.

Great image asset manager that allows teams to share assets and control access to those assets company-wide.
It let's you share assets with a team or company. I was the admin (in my previous position) for a Webdam install for about 300 users at a university. The assets can be available to all or you can share them with granular permissions. You can store images, videos, documents and other types of files.
The permissions were tricky to setup and sometimes had to be setup numerous times to actually work. The search was also a bit tricky to get good results.

We use Bynder to store all of our completed work, but that doesn't happen as much as we'd like because it takes a long time to upload each asset.
I like that Bynder is our one-stop-shop for all our digital assets. I also like how easy it is to log in to Bynder and instantly see what fellow coworkers are designing. It's a great place for inspiration that's on-brand because it was created by other designers in our company.
The interface is very clunky and it can be difficult to find what I'm looking for. It also takes so long to upload even a single asset that many designers forgo uploading their finished work to Bynder.

The help-team is generally really responsive at the onset. But once the ticket has to go to engineering or product, I don't get any follow up on where my ticket stands or projected timelines for solving said problem.
Overall I like this product, I think it's generally user friendly for me as the admin. I find it easy to organize my assets and my users. Some of the reasons I find it cumbersome are because users within my organization are asking the system to do things that it's not capable of. (ie, using it more as a shareable dropbox as opposed to a directory of assets)
...that said... I find myself having to put in tickets to fix or implement things that feel like they should already be a part of the integration. For example, I asked the system to kick out a report. Within webdam, the report pulled up 4,000 assets that fit the criteria I searched for. However, when I kicked out the excel file, it only showed the first 1,000. What's the point of reporting if I can't see the whole report? Also, my department established a process in webdam for Regular users and it worked for a year or so and then suddenly stopped working due to changes made in the system. It's currently being sorted out now, but it was a frustrating discovery.

The company’s brand portal solution automates most branding and marketing tasks and gives its users a more efficient way to handle the distribution of digital marketing materials.
Developed for companies of all sizes, from small businesses all the way to Fortune 500 corporations, bynder uses a drag-and-drop interface for the uploading and storage of digital media assets, including brochures, promotional videos, images, and other marketing collateral. The platform also includes features for creative project management, the development of brand identity guidelines, collateral creation (web-to-print and web-to-publish), and material distribution, among other innovative features.
Bynder was created to make life easier for marketing professionals. Every feature available within the web-based platform works toward the goal of helping marketers create, manage, and distribute digital media assets. With the understanding that advertising and marketing materials are an important part of communicating a brand’s identity, bynder enables its users to gather and organize files into whichever structures make the most sense for their organizations. Digital media assets can be sorted by category, folder, or tag, and they can be distributed as individual files or as media collections.
Information leaks are virtually eliminated when marketers use bydner, in part because the platform allows its users to revoke access to its collections at any point, even after files have already been distributed. Watermarks and embedded media also play a role in helping businesses ensure that their media assets are kept secure.
For brands that are looking for the most advanced way to showcase their identities, bynder offers an App Suite with mobile iPad apps. Having a native iPad app gives sales teams access to updated product information that they can share with potential clients and even sell at the click of a button.
The cornerstone of bynder’s web-based platform is digital asset management (DAM). The company’s DAM solution enables organizations to securely upload digital assets in the cloud and access those files when the time is right. Bynder was developed to improve the file management process for businesses of all sizes.
Upload your digital files using bynder’s drag-and-drop interface, making sure to add tags whenever necessary. You can store any common media file format in your bynder account. The application will automatically extract metadata and add approved files to your asset bank. Once files have been added, you can organize them into folders, categories, and collections.
Bynder uses its Creative Project Management module to improve the way organizations collaborate, particular with outside agencies. Individual projects can be grouped into “Campaigns”, and individual users or groups of users (such as consultants or agencies) can be given access to selected campaigns without being able to see all of an organization’s complete asset library.
Through the Creative Project Management module, you can customize the names and quantity of stages in any project. You can also solicit comments or annotations from collaborations. Being able to download projects and upload through a single shared location also streamlines the process when you’re working with outside organizations or agencies.
With bynder, businesses can rest assured that their logos are being applied in the same way across all online channels. Brand identity guidelines help marketing teams communicate branding elements such as logos, colors, and banners to colleagues, clients, news publications, agencies, and other outside partners.
Keep your brand identity strong by creating a single page on bynder where your employees can download the latest logos and banners for brochures or business presentations. You can also share specific pages with your design agency by sending invitations or creating PDF documents to use as printouts.
Bynder’s product layer module was developed to manage the administrative tasks related to retrieving product data. Rather than using tables and databases to store product information, businesses can integrate product communication right into their brand management workflows.
The product layer module automatically retrieves all metadata related to your product information and brand assets from connected systems, enabling you to quickly share this information with third-parties. System integrations include digital asset management, e-commerce, and publishing on demand.
Bynder integrates with virtually any type of setup using APIs, including webshop systems. Users also have access to Adobe Creative Suite plugins and CMS plugins.
Bynder offers free trial accounts for new users.
